I feel that even thought I have very young inexperienced goalkeepers I am going to take a gamble and use both as my main choices for the position, Hart taking 1st spot.


I think Man city have 3 very good Center Backs in Dunne, Richards and Corluka but other than that I think the defence is quite weak.


I shall be getting rid of Ball, Logan, mills and Onouha and be looking to bring in a few better youngsters in their place.

In the midfield I hope to strengthen my squad by quite a bit .I’ll be looking to get in a better Dm and also get in a winger or 2.


I’ll be looking to offload Samaras, Bianchi and Benjani in future transfer windows and will be bringing in a few faces in the striker position.


I think Johnson and Kelvin Etuhu are looking good prospects for the future and therefore I plan to keep them at the club for the foreseeable future.

Okay so far I have only signed one player .This player being Vagner Love .Why I hear you asking? Well because he is Jo’s fav personnel and I’m hoping that this will mean a good partnership .Also he adds pace to my attack and provides that poacher the squad needs .I also was looking to sign Nihat but I have decided to put that option on hold and see how Vagner performs before splashing the cash on a player I don’t perhaps need.
Micah Richards has been the star of my defence which to most will be no surprise .I have been playing him on the right and has been performing exceptionally well .I planned to use him in the centre with Corluka on the right but its seems a better match with Dunne solid and Corluka pacey (meaning he has a higher closing down than Dunne)
I have qualified easily for the next round of the inter toto cup and have just drawm my 1st prem game 1-1 against Tottenham away. Surprisingly Kelvin Etuhu has got straight into the squad ahead of Bojinov and after 3 games has a avrg rating of 8, what a lovely surprise of a gem (I might sign for other teams now he’s really impressed!!)
Jo has been an absolute star!!! He’s got an avrg rating of 8.67 and even though it’s the beginning of the upcoming season I believe he will be a big hit at Man city.
I’m looking to bring a bit of experience into the defence by perhaps signing a 30 year, or older defender left .He will probs also provide good back up on the bench and not mind too much. My possible target at the moment is Pernia from At. Madrid and perhaps the opposite defender Seitaridis as back upon the right. Both won’t cost too much as they both are back ups in their current squad and Seitaridis is young and looks good. I’m looking at a combined cost of about 8.5mills.

I was originally looking to sign another winger to replace Etuhu on the right but now ill probs be looking to sign a good player as back up for him(still can’t believe how good this guy is :O).At this moment in time I’m looking to sign the youngster Sisi from Valencia as I have had experience with him at Chelsea ,also he is in the reserves team and he was a very good prospect for me in my chelski game but got out shone by players like Quaresma and Joe Cole who were my players for the present, he was my boy of the future.
I may have changed my mind about selling Onouha. I think I will send him on loan and keep hold of him so that I can see what he develops into.
Well I’ve just got a draw against Wigan. A lucky goal scored on the rebound off the post set up Ryan Taylor to score. Valeri Bojinov and Castillo have formed a good solid partnership and Bojinov scored the equaliser to draw the game and save our asses.
After that match I’ve actually looked into signing Ryan as he has been impressive and also Pernia does not want to move to Man city so no experienced player coming in. However Pires may make his way back to the prem as a backup for Elano and the fans are excited by the prospect.

Update 3
I have signed Sisi for a measly 2.5 mill pounds and am very pleased with the signing. I was wrong I offered Pernia a contract and he came back and asked for a better offer so he may perhaps still become a Man city player and so he has, he has joined for 2.5 mills. Seitaridis has signed up to join us for a fee of 6 mills. I have signed Pires for 1.4 mills and as well as adding experience to my squad he adds cover for the whole midfield. I have just signed Zhirkov for a fee of 6mill, good piece of Business and a cover for Petrov, may have to rotate these two. Ive also bought Steven smith so that when Pernia passes on I will draft him into the squad and put Garrido on the bench .

In the future I’m looking to sign the ever flamboyant and exciting Karim Ziani (Micah Richards general happiness stated he was glad I had a good sense of humour when I declared my interest lol I’ve got the feeling he doesn’t believe I can sign him :O lol)and I could get him for only 8-9mill. I’m also looking into his Algerian team mate Nadir Belhadj who I believe could become one of the best wingers in the game and he would only cost me 6mill or so. Another player who has cought my eye is Govou and I would be able to sign him for a measley 4.75 mill.
Ive also signed center back Campo who was out of contract and he will be used to add experience ,tutor youngsters and a solid enough back up .

Update 4
Okay so I am 9 games into the prem season of 2007/2008 and we have lost 2 won3 and drawn 4. I have decided to go for a extremely attacking 4-4-2 and only really got It firing 4 games in .I lost to Chelsea(Drogba tore me apart as he does lol and then he got injured and A.Cole got sent off and Lampard came on and he destroyed me .Unfortunately they were out of my league and therefore I expressed that after the game by complimenting Scolari on his win ,I hope our friendship may lead to me getting some youngsters from his ranks in the future) and Fulham(lost it because I fiddled to much with the tactics to try and get it working nicely).


Stand out performers:

Sisi -9 aps and 5 assists with avrg rating of 7.40(looking a good prospect)

Update 5


Bojinov is a surprise package and scores allot of powerful strikes with the commentators stating “No keeper in the world would have stopped that shot “more often than not. He came on for Jo who got injured and now has scored an amazing 8 in 6 games.


Im Finding the problem in my defence is Dunne-Hes making way more mistakes that are leading to goals than any of the other guys in the team.

Other disappointments are the injuries keeping Zirkhov out for 5 months and the Petrov for 2 weeks.

Hart is playing out of his socks as he helps us to a win against Arsenal !! saving 25 shots !! I can see the potential already !!

Well we seem to have hit a bit of form with 4 wins in a row starting with the win against Arsenal which seems to have had a very positive effect on players.
I
have adjust my tactics a bit and now play Elano in amc and Pires in mc with a barrow to dm (he plays as my playmaker)I’m hoping this will help our defence just a little but however my goal with this tactic is still to outscore the opposition (let’s just say I’m a Chelsea fan who loves the way Barcelona play football ;) also very similar attacking mentality to the teams back home in South Africa i.e. Kaiser Chiefs ,Orlando Pirates ,Swallows etc I think you get my point )

But the real test lays in front of me … I play Liverpool away next …gonna be a cruncher …lets see what my boys can do !!

Well all dreams have to come to an end don’t they…We lost 3-1 to Liverpool mainly due to the lack of experience of the replacement Onouha for Corluka.Torres the player of the month for November doing his main thing and skinning Onouha over and over again… maybe next time ey ;)


After the game the media stated that Liverpool were lucky to avoid an upset.

I'm currently playing an online game as Man City and to be honest, I'm really struggling to get goals.

You seem to be doing fairly well, apart from the odd results (United, Sevilla, Liverpool). You got manager of the month last month and Richards picked one up for young player.

Yeah i struggled a bit with getting goals but then i just upped the tempo and gave no closing down and high mentality and creative freedom to my atacking players
I seemed to struggle against some teams but i seem to be getting a good turn of form at this moment in time so fingers crossed:)

Update 9


Dam!! Another injury or should I say 2 injuries on one player a broken arm and a broken wrist :S that must have been some fall!! lol shit !!



I really didn’t need that but anyway life goes on …Add Jo to the list as well…off for a month :S and so to Sisi for a month :S I’m having a horrid time here :S


I’m getting annoyed by other managers casting there greedy eyes on my players i.e. Micah Richards (don’t really blame them he won defender of the year and another young player of the month award) and Elano (he’s been scintillating form).Also another hint -Elano likes playing alongside Jo.

On the good side we have just entered the Jan transfer and have signed
Rafinha(got to add that he got an award for the 3rd best defender of the year :) ), Vladimir Koryt’ko and Ugur Ylidirim. Dunne may be leaving in the near future and therefore my target replacement is Thiago Heleno from Cruzeiro who I have had experience with at Chelsea in previous games.

Also i try to play to my strengths so what it means is i get loads of goals but i get allot of corners and therefore Micah can score and improve because of scoring :) also i find petrov is the best corner take from the left of the keeper ie our right looking at the screen )

I love the way you lost against Sunderland in the cup and then thumped them in the league. That always seems to happen to me as well if I've got someone twice in a row.

As for Elano, his stats are immense!!!! No wonder everyone's after him. I'd be offering everything I could to get him.
