So, as my life as grays manager began, i made multiple bids for players, inclunding Maynor Figueroa, who is currently on loan at wigan. ill update you on that situation later.

But for now, Scottish defender/wing back Alan Trouten has joined on a 2 year contract from Queen Of The South

Alan Trouten

As Trouten Signed on, My assistant took my new team to Broughton, home of Airbus UK, where they lost 4-3, with the scorers below

i will update again when i can be bothered, probably about a months time, if i cant be bothered before ;)

thanks WILL be given for comments, so comment wisely :P

So, after the defeat to Airbus UK, I continued to let my assistant take charge during friendlys, as i watched from the stands, the next game was a major improvement with Karl Murray and Danny Kedwell securing the draw against Championship side Southend

GRAYS ATHELETIC - Southend

Another game that Grays played in was a 2-0 defeat to Sunderlands Reserve Team, Danny Kedwell was taken off injured, but will only be out for 6 days to 2 weeks with the injury

With the board unable to find a suitable parent club, i had to act quickly in trying to bring in some better players for the season, Maynor Figueroa has had his work permit application turned down, therefore he wont be playing for Grays next season, although he was looking forward to playing football in england. Pablo Herrera has turned down Grays to continue playing his football in his native Costa Rica

In other news, Grays Athletic have been given odds of 100-1 to gain promotion to League 2 this season by bookmakers, stating that they belive Grays will have more chance of relegation than promotion.

thanks to James M for the sig, cheers buddy :D

With the final friendly of pre-season coming up, i decided to tell the squad that i would give them a bonus if they won the league, or any cup competition, 40k is on offer for a league win, and 50k has been offered for any cup competition win.

I decided to take charge of this final friendly, which is against Carlisle and being played at the Recreation Ground, Grays.

Grays struck first, or so i thought, with striker Aaron O'Connor having a goal disallowed, then disaster struck, Carlisle striker Joe Garner struck a goal from just inside the area, and Danny Graham doubling the lead 4 minutes before half time, which effictively won the game for his team. Making 5 Subs at half time, i hoped maybe we could turn it around in the 2nd Period.......

I was dissapointed when it didnt happen, Stephen Hindmarch had made it 3-0 within 73 minutes, then Danny Carlton really killed hopes off, with a 4th goal just before the end of the game

Grays - Carlisle

With only 9 days to go until the opening game of the season against Oxford at the Kassam Stadium, i put in a few loan bids for players to strengthen my squad, with Readings Aaron Brown being one of my targets.

thanks to James M for the sig, cheers buddy :D

You got your butt whipped by Carlisle there Dean. Let's hope it doesn't go like that in the league.

Good luck mate.
