Starting with Valencia and see where i go. I hope to be more thorough with my updates and follow the examples set by abeatty and benjspurs etc.

Ok here goes...hopefully this will be more successful than my arsenal game lol

The Transfer budget i was given was £770k. Not much but there isn't much of my team that needs strengthening. The place i can identify most that would need a signing or 2 would be in defence with helguerra getting a bit past it and maduro not up to having a consistent first team slot. Also, a new goalkeeper will be in order but i should be fine for the first season. Canizares is a fantastic keeper but i know that his stats go down on a consistent level after the first season. I don't rate hildebrand to be honest. Hopefully i will be able to find a suitable replacement by the end of the season and bring him up.

The Fans were understandably upset that a virtually unknown irish manager has been appointed but i seemed to have turned it around in a short space of time as they think i am getting the best out of David Villa! Who incidently is upset and thinks i treated him unfairly by substituting him in a friendly lol!!!

No transfers in and the only transfer out as of yet is Marchena! Sold him to Palermo for £4.6m. I only get 55% of transfer fees i receive so now have a budget of £3.3million! Still not a significant amount for a first team player for valencia. Despite their real life problems i am looking forward to a good campaign and hopefully build for the future.

Happy enough with the result. It was a fairly even game but my team were more clinical. Which in the first game of the pre-season can only be good

Much happier with this result. Dominated the game. The only disappointment was conceding the goal at such a late stage with their only shot on target.

Happy again, lots of shots, good few on target and the attackers taking their opportunities.

Delighted with this result but to be honest i was disappointed to only score 3 goals. I thought we could have been more clinical but still, 3-0 is 3-0!

Delighted with this once again, Getafe always were my bogey team as they are awkward to play against but we took our chances. Fairly even game but we created the better chances and won as a result. David villa on top form and albiol with a header early on set us up.

Worst result so far, some players were tired so rested a few, after the 3-0 home win i could afford to relax a bit but i was still hoping to win. Generally a subdued performance

Happy out with this victory away from home, went in 1-0 down at half time. Delighted with the way we came back into it and villa's early 2nd half goal got them on the back foot. We were poor in the first half but turned it around. Was lucky to go in at only 1-0 down so understandably delighted with the outcome!

Was expecting a tough tough game. Very surprised but delighted all the same. Controlled the game and brushed them aside and moved on. The manager had come out before the match and said we basically didnt have a chance with the league competition so he fired up the players better than i could have!!

A tough match but did just enough to win it. Most important thing was to get the 3 points on the board as Man United and Lazio are in the same group. Villa was a bit disappointing in this game so brought zigic on who got a nice goal from the centre of the box.

3-1 up by the time they had a player sent off so i the team just played it out once we were in control and just added the 4th mid way through the second half to kill it off for definite. Would like to be getting a few more on target so will have a tinker with the tactic and see what happens.

Here ya go...

Transfers in and out...as you can see, not much activity. Since the start of the season the bank balance has grown a bit. It's up to £32m but still only just over a £3m budget so i'm hopefully i might get a bit of spending power for a better central defender in the january window. I'm thinking Vidal or someone along those lines. Vidal and Albiol should be a good partnership i would think.

Squad with a preferred first team selected. I just had to change it for a stubborn espanyol side, ended up with a 41311 formation! Made it more solid at the back! Might stick with that for away games but this one seems to do the job for home matches!

Since the Osasuna game i've played 15 matches so i'm not going to post screenies for every match as it'll take me ages lol but here's a quick summary of it game by game and screenies of matches that i thought we deserved more or when we destroyed the opposition!

To start off with, lets post up 2 screenies of future transfers and an inbox mail...

Mainly youth players for the future but would like to get bouzanis up and player regularly by middle of second season, as with nordtveit in case albiol, vidal or maduro get itchy feet. Vidal should slot into the first team effortlessly, or so i would hope. And with Vidal,Albiol and zigic in the team i would hope to get a lot of goals from the corners and set pieces!

Thought i would post this now because barcelona are up next lol

Now....the matches...

Espanyol 0 - 2 Valencia
A very stubborn espanyol side but we ground out the victory. We had less shots on goal but equalled shots on target. We just took our chances and we happy with snatching the victory. Goals from albiol and villa securing victory!

Valencia 3 - 1 Villareal
A very even game but the class of silva showed as he set up 2 of the 3 goals and albiol getting the other from a corner. Another tricky match that i was very happy at getting the win at although the match itself was even!

Valencia 1 - 1 Manchester United (CL Group stage)
Happy-ish with this result. Man united as usual were hard to play against and went in 1-0 up at half time after a tevez goal but happy with the fight back and moretti scoring from a corner.

Deportivo 2 - 3 Valencia
Largely outplayed in this game. Disappointed with the level of performance and let the team know it despite the win. I though we were very subdued and maybe a little complacent but still, ground out the result and its the top teams who can play awful but still get the win so lets hope its an omen for the season. Goals from Albiol, Villa and Moretti

Valencia 2 - 1 Zaragoza
Back on form in this game, despite only winning by one goal we could and should have had more. Pleased with the win but more so pleased with the way we went about it. Clinical passing through midfield led to a lot of chances for villa which is always good. Defence looked sharp until the 88th minute when they got their consoloation. Albiol with both!

Lazio 1 - 1 Valencia (CL Group Stage)
Disappointed to only get the draw but the main thing i wanted from this was not to lose! If we lost we would have made it hard for ourselves to qualify from the group. We took the lead through albiol (once again) but Mr.Pandev knocked in a long shot in the second half to tie it up. Mixed feelings, happy we didn't lose but also slightly disappointed we couldn't get the victory that i thought we deserved!

Athletic 3 - 3 Valencia
The screen shot shows how gutted i was at this result. The penalty was on 93.36minute. Absolutely gutted. They would have been delighted with this result but i certainly wasnt.

Recreativo 1 - 4 Valencia
Deceptively even match but absolute clinical finishing by my team saw us get the win. Delighted by the winning marging and more so by how ruthless we were in the final 3rd of the pitch

Valencia 2 - 0 Valladolid
Delighted not just with the win but with the way we controlled the game. Once again we should have had more but you can't be happier with a win and a clean sheet

Valencia 2 - 1 Lazio (CL Group Stage)
A tight match but one i was confident of winning having gotten the draw in Italy. What didn't help matters was that when the score was delicately poised at 1-1 Edu was sent off in the 55th minute. Oh no, i thought as it was a very very tight match but a bit of luck on the 65th minute when another red card was shown. It was for Gaby Mudingayi of Lazio, so the teams were level in numbers and level in goals. It was going to take something special to win it and who else but Silva with an absolute rocket of a shot in the 71st minute from outside the box. Zigic got the other!

Valencia 5 - 4 Real Madrid
Real Madrid come to town and not the best of starts. 2-0 down after 8 minutes. It couldn't have been any worse. Thought we were going to get a beaten but somehow we made it in at half time drawing 3-3. Playing pretty average to be honest but took the chances that came our way, with momentum in our favour i thought we would push on and get the win and thats just what we did. Heart was in the mouth when helguerra fouled in the box and Van Nistelrooy stepped up to take the penalty but he blasted wide and over. I was leaping around the room lol. Delighted!!! Villa with a resounding 4 goals to destroy the hearts of real madrid fans! His final goal was 1 minute after the missed penalty which i think compounded their misery and kept them quiet until the last ten minutes when they brought it back to 5-4.

Burgos 1 - 3 Valencia (Copa del Rey 4th Rd 1st Leg)
Gave most of the reserves a run out in this one. Zigic with 2 and albiol with the other. Controlled the game as was expected and happy with the result.

Betis 1 - 1 Valencia
Outplayed and outclassed by Betis in this match to be honest. The first teamers were fresh after being rested in the previous game and i couldnt understand it. The fact we didnt lose is the only positive i can take from that match. Utterly disappointed!

Valencia 7 - 0 Red Star (CL Group Stage)
I was looking for a decent result and huge increase in performance levels after the last game against Betis and what a way to do it. Completely controlled the game. Red Star did not get a look in. Absolutely destroyed them. I couldn't have wished for a better result. 7-0.....Can't complain at that result. The whole team were absolutely amazing!

Valencia 4 - 0 Levante
Continuing the excellent performance from the match against Red Star. Levante were absolutely ripped apart. The team are looking well and know each other well and results are proving it on the pitch. I think they like the style of play we are using at the minute and the players are really expressing themselves. Fantastic result and delighted with the clean sheet and how we kept them down to 1 shot in the whole game. Haven't gotten too many clean sheets so delighted!!!

Right, i've progressed a lot in this game so updates on it have suffered! So here are a few screenies that should bring you up to date-ish!

So fixtures first up. As you can see, knocked chelsea out of the CL with a superb 3-1 victory at the bridge. It's just a shame i lost so resoundingly at old trafford soon after. 6-1 wasn't a good result. I don't know what was wrong with the team but every shot united took went in and my defenders must have been made from concrete. Having said that, we gave it a right go in the 2nd leg and unlucky i thought to go out 8-6 on aggregate! Few other results in there.

End of season table. Happy with the end result. Thought it was good to get between barca and real and truely make it a top 3 in the league and not the top 2! Barca won it by quite a large margin in the end. I began to think they would never drop points since going top in about november time!

I think this is top goalscorer lol...just thought it was quite good to see Albiol in 3rd!!

yeah using the corner trick. Vidal and Albiol are popping up with important goals now and then. I'd like to break the 100 goals barrier this season! As long as i dont F it all up. One thing that does concern me though was my goals conceded..it was huge last season. It was very rare that i kept a clean sheet! Hopefully the few signings i made will sure up the defence. Always thought i was a bit weak on the RB but Barragan has sured that place up. Fingers crossed it'll be a good season and might have something to celebrate. Valencia have already given me another contract and double the money so happy out!

random question but......at Valencia did u get any TV money for the league at the start of a seasons??
im just startin my 3rd & havnt seen any despite getting a msg sayin we'll get 40mil for the season. checkd Real's finance & they just got theirs!! thought i may recieve it per month over the season or somethin'???
any suggestions would b great.
