I have decided to actually be a premiership club on my own PC.

I wanted to win the league but not being Man Utd or Chelsea. I normally choose Man City or Newcastle but I thought; why not be a better team?!

Arsenal was the choice - Relatively rich and some good players. Why Not?!

The first step

I came in and immediately looked at the squad. I had a look around and thought that a defender, midfielder and striker was in order - and a few youngsters as an investment. These are my signings at 12th August 2007;

Obviously, pre-season was the topic. With 2 games in Portugal against Paços Ferreira & Vitoria Setúbal. With nobody bought yet, the P. Ferreira game went with a strong, current Arsenal side, toying with players and tactics.

Paços Ferreira 1-1 Arsenal

Dominating from start to finish, Arsenal couldn't convert their chances into goals, luckily scoring in the last minute to save them from embarrassment.

I feel I deserved a win, although I battled harder than the other 2 games. A 3rd last-minute goal in as many games... Sheer luck or grit and determination?

That was obvious.. I was expecting more but you can't complain really. Fantastic starts for van der Vaart & Stancu - Well worth the £13.35m paid between them!

By looking at the stats, you can see that Spurs had absolutely no chance.. but they somehow came away with a point from the Emirates. Unbelievably disappointing but that's football.

Another game of domination, with me not doing well until the last minute. Thank god van der Vaart & Eduardo know where the goal is!

Arsenal have had a bid of £20.5m + £3.5m after 12 months Accepted for Fiorentina's Romanian striker Adrian Mutu, despite a £23m bid from Liverpool also accepted. It's now up to Adrian which club he is willing to move to.

He's pretty much just someone for the future, although he's scored 3 goals already lol.

Played a few more games, will update when I can be bothered :)
