Blue Square Premier - Game 19

Match Odds: Grays: 4-6 (Fav) / Draw: 9-4 / Sutton United: 7-2

Grays 1 - 2 Sutton United

Man of Match: James Tomkins - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

This was a very hard game to win but we done our best and kept in the game thanks to the ref for sending of the Grays captain, which was a morale boost for us and we held onto our lead. Fantastic 3 points hopefully we can carry this form on in our next match.

Blue Square Premier - Game 20

Match Odds: Sutton United: 3-1 / Draw: 2-1 / Oxford: 4-5 (Fav)

Sutton United 1 - 2 Oxford

Man of Match: Luke Foster - Oxford - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We played really well in possession terms but what is possession without the goals and shots on target a poor attacking display from the team today.

Injury News

Esmir Sabic - Facial Injury - 1-2 weeks
Malik Buari - Returns to full training

FA Cup - 1st Round

Match Odds: Sutton United: 5-4 (Fav) / Draw: 11-5 / Salisbury: 7-4

Sutton United 2 - 1 Salisbury

Man of Match: Robbie Matthews - Salisbury - Rating 8

Managers Comments

All i hoped for in this match was basically a comfortable win and we got the result in what looked like an easy win but it was very close as the scoreline has shown. We are into the 2nd round now lets hope for an easy team.

Transfer News

Tony Stokes - Joins on a 3 Month Loan
Marek Stech - Returns to West Ham
Jonathan North - Joins on a 3 Month Loan

Managers Comments

With Marek's loan ending we needed to bring in another goalkeeper fast and the player we managed to get out of 10 players we chose was Jonathan North as you can see.

FA Cup Second Round Draw

Sutton United v Oldham Athletic (L1)

Blue Square Premier - Game 21

Match Odds: Sutton United: 3-1 / Draw: 2-1 / Halifax: 4-5 (Fav)

Sutton United 2 - 2 Halifax

Man of Match: Christian Daminuta - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We never deserved this result not since we out played them all match, reason we conceded 2 goals was mostly the fact of the silly mistakes that we made.

Blue Square Premier - Game 22

Match Odds: Ebbsfleet: 6-4 (Fav) / Draw: 2-1 / Sutton United: 13-8

Ebbsfleet 2 - 2 Sutton United

Man of Match: Netan Sansara - Ebbsfleet - Rating 8

Managers Comments

The bookmakers though that we would lose this game but with the league positions before the game most fans and i thought it would be an easy game but as you can see this is our 2nd 2-2 draw in a row surely we need to sort this out.

FA Trophy First Round Draw

Sutton United v Stafford Rangers (BSP)

FA Cup - 2nd Round

Match Odds: Oxford: 1-8 (Fav) / Draw: 5-1 / Sutton United: 12-1

Oxford 3 - 1 Sutton United

Man of Match: /Alexandru Chipciu - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We played to our best and we managed to do well but we never concentrated very well at the back as you can see we conceded 3 goals this is now 7 in 3 games which is bad. Oh well we managed to get this far which is great for us but i was hoping for last season performance.

November Goal of Month

1st - Thomas Pinault - Crawley
The Crawley central midfielder delights fans and pundits alike by scoring a curling shot from the edge of the area.

2nd - Stephen Crainey - Oxford
A top-drawer goal from U's left-back Crainey as he hits a free kick from the edge of the area.

3rd - Christian Daminuta - Sutton United
U's defensive midfielder Daminuta shows his class by scoring a long range freekick.

League Table

Managers Comments

We started of so bright then as soon as our in form on loan goalkeeper's 3 month contract was up the team seemed to drop morale and with his replacement not used to playing 1st team it has been a poor end to the month and i just hope that we can start getting 3 points and most of all get some clean sheets but with our goalkeeping problem and no funds we are going to struggle this season.

Blue Square Premier - Game 23

Match Odds: Weymouth: 4-7 (Fav) / Draw: 5-2 / Sutton United: 4-1

Weymouth 3 - 1 Sutton United

Man of Match: Gavin McCallum - Weymouth - Rating 8

Managers Comments

This was the worst defending that i have ever seen my goalkeeper and defence just to be honest looked like they wanted to stand still and i also caught them ball watching if they do this again there will be some players moving on out the club.

Setanta Sheild Fourth Round Draw

Sutton United v Salisbury (BSP)

Blue Square Premier - Game 24

Match Odds: Sutton United: 3-1 / Draw: 2-1 / Kidderminister: 4-5 (Fav)

Sutton United 2 - 1 Kidderminister

Man of Match: Glenn Poole - Kidderminister - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We managed to win this match even though we never got many shots on target but the defence managed to hold on to the vital 3 points in our league campaign. I changed the team around for this game and so far looks great.

Blue Square Premier - Game 25

Match Odds: Southport: 4-6 (Fav) / Draw: 9-4 / Sutton United: 7-2

Southport 1 - 5 Sutton United

Man of Match: Malik Buari - Sutton United - Rating 9

Managers Comments

This was the best game we have played all season without a doubt. The fan seen some superb football from the lads today hope this is the start of things to come.

FA Trophy - 1st Round

Match Odds: Stafford: 3-1 / Draw: 2-1 / Sutton United: 4-5 (Fav)

Stafford 3 - 4 Sutton United

Man of Match: Malik Buari - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

I was really disappointed in the 1st half display and i let the team know how i and the fans felt and as you all can see the team done well to get the result that we wanted so next round please

FA Trophy Second Round Draw

Sutton United v Torquay (BSP)

Blue Square Premier - Game 26

Match Odds: Salisbury: 5-4 (Fav) / Draw: 11-5 / Sutton United: 7-4

Salisbury 2 - 2 Sutton United

Man of Match: Ben Watson - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We didn't deserve this result and the fans and player know what i am saying, we outplayed them in all areas but with the soft goals that we gave away cost us the 3 points we should have come away with. no its time to take revenge in the nest meeting.

Setanta Shield - 4th Round

Match Odds: Sutton United: 5-4 (Fav) / Draw: 11-5 / Salisbury: 7-4

Sutton United 3 - 0 Salisbury

Man of Match: Ben Watson - Sutton United - Rating 9

Managers Comments

Well we wanted to show them how we play our football at home, and as you can see this was the way to play football we shown them who is boss and the question i ask myself is why cant we play like this every week.

Gareth Law wanted out so he was sold for £9k lets hope we can get a better player now with this cash.

Blue Square Premier - Game 27

Match Odds: Sutton United: 7-2 / Draw: 9-4 / Exeter: 4-6 (Fav)

Sutton United 3 - 3 Exeter

Man of Match: Dean Moxey - Exeter - Rating 8

Managers Comments

This game wasn't great since we had the better team on the day and we have probably the the worst defence in the league this month or even all season as you can see.

This month we seen some poor defensive displays and if the team doesn't perform to the standards that we have seen the team do then there will be a huge clear out.

Forest Green 3 - 1 Sutton United

Man of Match: Chris Giles - Forest Green - Rating 9

Managers Comments

This has to be one of the worst games i have seen the team play, we were very strong in most areas but when it came to the set pieces we conceded very softly and this need to improve or we will be going back down the table.

FA Trophy - 2nd Round

Match Odds: Torquay: 6-4 (Fav) / Draw: 2-1 / Sutton United: 13-8

Torquay 3 - 5 Sutton United

Man of Match: Ben Watson - Sutton United - Rating 9

Sutton United 4 - 1 Cambridge

Man of Match: Tony Stokes - Sutton United - Rating 9

I have sorted out my tactics before this match to see if it was my defensive issue and it looks like the problem may have been solved but this is only the 1st game. also this was a brilliant result the best so far.

Blue Square Premier - Game 30

Match Odds: Aldershot: 4-7 (Fav) / Draw: 5-2 / Sutton United: 4-1

This month was mixed with respect to the results but we're still in with a chance to get the playoffs place but the downside of the month is losing some players to injury very important players too. I hope they get fit soon and the current fit players do well. So far there is around 17 fully fit at the end of this month.

February Report

Media News

Peary reaches ton for Sutton United

Current manager Stuart Peary will celebrate his 100th game in charge of Sutton United when his team play Ebbsfleet United in the Setanta Shield on Tuesday.

With Sutton United playing steadily in the league, Peary will want to ensure that his players don't pay the landmark too much attention and turn their thoughts to the game itself.

Setanta Sheild - 5th Round

Match Odds: Ebbsfleet: Evens (Fav) / Draw: N/A / Sutton United: 9-4

Ebbsfleet 1 - 4 Sutton United

Man of Match: Ben Watson - Sutton United - Rating 9

Managers Comments

This was a brilliant start to the month and this result was just a class above the rest. I was upset at the fact we lost yet another player by injury.

Injury News

Warren McBean - Gashed Leg - 1 to 3 Weeks

Match Odds: Sutton United: 1-2 (Fav) / Draw: 3-5 / Altrincham: 9-2

Sutton United 1 - 1 Altrincham

Da Mota - Twisted Knee - 2 to 3 Weeks
Christian Daminuta - Pulled Hamstring - 3 to 4 Weeks

Blue Square Premier - Game 32

Match Odds: Kettering: 4-5 (Fav) / Draw: 2-1 / Sutton United: 3-1

Kettering 1 - 2 Sutton United

Man of Match: Ben Watson - Sutton United - Rating 9

Match Odds: Sutton United: 5-4 (Fav) / Draw: 11-5 / Dag & Red: 7-4

Sutton United 1 - 1 Dag & Red

Man of Match: Fred Sears - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

We are very lucky to have a team to use as every team we play now seems to keep on injuring all my players the team now has 9 injured players and a few just unfit to play which is basically almost my full team.

Crawley 4 - 1 Sutton United

Man of Match:[color=darkorange] Jon-Paul Pittman - Crawley - Rating 9

Managers Comments

Well with all my star players injured and having to play youth players well i expected nothing in this game and the lack of quality was seen today we need more players in the squad but with very little cash we have no chance.

Setanta Shield - Quarter Final

Match Odds: Sutton United: 7-2 / Draw: N/A / Northwich: 4-6 (Fav)

Sutton United 2 - 3 Northwich

Man of Match: Johnny Allan - Northwich - Rating 9

Match Odds: Sutton United: 1-2 (Fav) / Draw: 13-5 / Eastbourne Boro: 9-2

Sutton United 4 - 1 Eastbourne Boro

Man of Match: Ali Akbar - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

All i was hoping for is an injury free game and to get the 3 points anyway i could, as you can see we done so and it was a great game to watch.

Blue Square Premier - Game 36

Match Odds: Northwich: 7-2 / Draw: 9-4 / Sutton United: 4-6 (Fav)

Northwich 1 - 3 Sutton United

Man of Match: Miguel Lloyd - Sutton United - Rating 8

Managers Comments

With a few players able to play a small part i thought it would be a win for us and we managed to get the result only just by the superb skills from Miguel as he was the best player on the pitch today.

Well a slightly better month in the league but the cup run was ended due to the lack of fit players for selection this has been the hardest few months so far we are in need of a larger squad to cope with the huge amount of games. Next month i hope we can get a little bit closer to the playoffs.

Thanks for the comments, I can't wait to play the last few games and hopefully make it into playoffs but with some slight mixed form it will be hard to do. I was on track for the playoffs but the couple of games that i slipped up on has made the task even harder but more interesting. more to come later tonight
