Excellent read, top marks. I am not doing half as well with my Sutton team. Even trying to pick up tips along the way.
Just brilliant. Keep up the good work.

Just started a new game with Sutton and see if I can do as well. So far played 10 games got 19 points and in 4th place. That Ismael Ehui from Fulham on loan is ace, played 5 games and scored 10 goals so far. Even trying the tactic but its leaving the space for the opposition to get through. Goals 21 for 15 against. Also got on loan James Tomkins, Kyel Reid, Ali Fuseini, Tony Stokes, Andrew Howell and Luis Cumbers. Its the best start I have ever had in FM.

Thats a big blow losing Sears to injury but I'm sure a man of your calibre can overcome that!

Hey Raz, why dont you create a Sutton thread too then you and Mufc7 can compare games?

Hopefully you return to this soon and get Sutton away from those relegation places. Fantastic job to get Sutton this far. KUTGW

Well Hartynips, I would like to, but I do not have the time or the knowhow how to set a thread up like Mufc7. He must have spend so much time on it I wonder if he goes to bed at all, or does he had a job to go to. That is some thread he has set up I could not get anywhere near as good. I am just an old timer who just enjoys trying (and I mean trying to get better at this game). I know that tactics are just one the important factors to get to grips with but even with all the help on the site I am still struggling. I must admit I do not put any cheats in or stupid tactics that are around. Its just that I like to play FM the way its meant to be played. As you probably have seen I have 3 games on the go. My first main one is Oxford where I am in season 8 and trying to get promotion from Div 1 which I have been in for the last 4 seasons. I just seem to hit a brick wall in my games at a certain point. Another Team I have is Wexford Youths which I find is dam hard having no wages to pay and started the game nearly half a million quid in the red. So I thought I would try and emulate this Sutton thread game which I started ok. In fact I was doing better being in third place after only 11 games and then suddenly I find myself losing games, and I can't figure out why. It seems as soon as I get near the top of a div all the other teams seem to be playing 10 times better than before. Or is it just me. But even so Istill like the game even though other people find the game easy to play and so get a team from the Bue Star to the Premier in half a dozen seasons. Do people use cheats to get to the top or not. Who knows????

Well, I don't use cheats.

I'm in my third season with Thurrock and I've only gone up one league, lol.

This is a great read by the way. Keep up the good work.

This month has been outstanding and we have turned the team around so well getting more wins against the bigger sides, i hope that this form will stay with us through the course of the season.

I have been busy trying to get new faces into the team and also have been looking at the sale of a few players recently, but you will have to stay tuned for the news on the players.

Thanks for reading and being patient as it has taken so long to get back online i took a random guess of 1 month for the internet to be sorted and it took 2 months due to the BT line not getting sorted for a while then also the length of time to un-freeze my internet account and get online but that's another subject. all i really want to say is that i am back!

Out

Gary Wignall - Southend - £1.4M - 1st Jan

Coca-Cola Championship - Game 20

Injuries: Corradini, Garcia Garcia
Suspensions: Appleton

Club News: None

(Fav) Ipswich 5 - 4 Sutton United

Man of Match: Bradley Wright-Phillips - Ipswich - Rating 9

Managers Comments

This was an open ended match and we struggled to stop Bradley as he is on a great goalscoring form of late, i hope that we bounce back from
this as our scoring ability is great but we need to strengthen our defence.

Coca-Cola Championship - Game 21

Injuries: Corradini

Club News: Sa**** Adams - Debut, Hayward - 125th career league game

(Fav) Sutton United 3 - 0 Barnsley

Man of Match: David Hayes - Sutton United - Rating 8

We dominated the match all day and we could have scored much more than we did, our goalkeeper had it easy today only having to make 1 save
all game.

Coca-Cola Championship - Game 22

Injuries: Corradini

Club News: Appleton - 75th career league game

(Fav) Bristol City 1 - 4 Sutton United

Man of Match: Fred Sears - Sutton United - Rating 10

What a day we had here Fred Sears has started to show his form today with 4 outstanding goals and i hope he stays fit as he is an
important player.

Coca-Cola Championship - Game 23

Injuries: Garcia Garcia, Gayle, Williams
Suspensions: Tiago

Club News: Hayes - 50th career league game

(Fav) Sutton United 6 - 0 Swindon

Man of Match: Sad**** Adams - Sutton United - Rating 9

Managers Comments

What a perfect game and what has looked like a great strike force partnership with Fred and Sad**** in reserves was also great in the first
team lets hope his lasts.

Coca-Cola Championship - Game 24

Injuries: Garcia Garcia, Williams

Club News: None

(Fav) Swansea 4 - 2 Sutton United

Man of Match: James Brown - Swansea - Rating 9

Managers Comments

A very bad game this was we started off in the worst way possible going 2-0 down in 4 minutes then 26 minutes it was 3-0 but we did get 2 goals to try and get in the game. It wasn't good enough today.
