As a fan, I thought I would take over Oldham.

Throwing all favourite player alliances out of the window, I tell the board I will earn a respectable league position, giving me £200k and £29k p/w.

Needed to tweaks to GK Def and Mid as i have settled to play 4-1-4-1

After first 8 games in the league I am 1st!!
W5 D2 L1. 1pt clear of southend.

Cup form is awful/non-existant. lose in first round of League Cup and JPT to Huddesfield and Stockport(pens) respectivly

Hellstrom is by far the best of my signings and Davies has 9 in 10 games..... problem is that he has just been injured in the last game. only out for 2 weeks so it isn't all bad news.

Not good news I am afraid.

A awful run or 11 games without a win has seen me plumet to 13th in the table and only 9 points from relegation zone. I have tweaked til my finger hurt but still no luck. Think I may need to change training my training regime as I am getting the shots, but they are not on target. Davies came back from injury and found a bit of form and then got injured again (doh!!).

Highpoints Oct-Beginning of Jan

- Revenge on Huddersfield with a 3-0 win in the league
- Have set up a FA Cup 3rd round tie at home vs. Liverpool

Low points

- Bad form
- 5-2 loss to Millwall

First signing in January....... Erik Grendel for £50k, something tells me this wont be the last. I need a striker and poss a GK.

Davies' morale is very poor and i dont know how to raise it and his goals seem to have dried up.

Signed Bagci from rangers for £2k and released Liddell and Jansen to free up some wage budget

i almost forgot. was heavily beaten in FA Cup by Liverpool 7-2..... the less said about that the better. also signed defender Miles Addison from Derby on Loan

and so the season comes to a close.

nothing really to shout about. tweaked tactics here and there with nixed results. defense seems to be lacking in pace so hopefully i can rectify this in the summer

I finished 14th.

3 transfers already confirmed. Kevin Phillps from West Brom for £8k and Alex Fernandez and Rolando Fonesca for free.

Alot more strike power and possibillity for new formation....

Fonesca will arrive in september, in negotiations with Ian Walker for a 2nd keeper, and i have used a 4-1-1-2-2 tactic in friendlies and seems to be working. on the lookout for another DM so i can make a 4-2-1-2-1 away tactic

I am playing with Nottm F. at the moment and just finished the first season on top of the league with around 10 points of margin. I have signed Alex Fernandez at the start of the 1st season and he bagged in 29 goals in around 40 games. (half of them as sub). I am sure that he will help your offense next season, just give him some creative freedom, forward runs and he will do his job. Especially when the opponents are attacking to find the equaliser on an away game. ;)

As for the defense I would recommend you Aleksander Rajcevic. Can't remember the team he plays for but he is a good and consistent all around defender. Also useful in corners with his headers (scored 8 goals this season).

You should certainly find a parent team (a premiership team) to receive quality loan players for free. I hate loaning players in personally, really, but when you play on League 1 that's a huge lifesaver, to be honest. I have had chris eagles from Man Utd. this season and he dominated each and every opponent. I must admit that my pre-season signing Hosain Kaebi (IRAN) also helped him a lot from full-back position. Great attacking FB, Kaebi.

If you need a keeper try Jimmy Walker. Old but cheap; still quality and has influence on the team he plays for.

i have also tried chris eagles but he isn't intrested and united are classed as rivals. his contract is expired and wont sign for united and is on a rolling contract atm. will keep you posted
