Unfortunately, my saved file crashed. However I was clever enough to copy the file into another folde (in case i do crash) and it looks like my efforts have paid off. However the save game is now back in October meaning I am back in 5th position (where I last saved) So I will delete the October and November post lol.

Unlucky with losing the data, but at least all is not lost mate. Good luck with trying to get back on track with the mighty eastleigh!

October

Oxford 1-0 Eastleigh
MOM: Ian Ross (Oxford)
We weren’t really going to win, and despite having more possession, they took their chances and we didn’t.

Eastleigh’s assistant manager Gerry McGeough contract has been terminated by Eastleigh.

Eastleigh has appointed Gordon Ewen as their new assistant manager. This is Henian Su’s third assistant in two years now. Our scouting knowledge on Africa is increasing slowly now.

Eastleigh 0-1 Stevenage
MOM: Steve Morison (Stevenage)
Stevenage continues their unbeaten run as they beat Eastleigh 1-0 and Stevenage should’ve score really.

Dag & Red 2-0 Eastleigh
MOM: Dan Barker (Dag & Red)
The first time I tried my new away tactic and although we lost today, I do see an improvement so its not all for nothing.

Eastleigh will play rivals Salisbury City in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. The game will be played at Silverlake Stadium on 25th October 2008.

Eastleigh 3-0 Rochdale
MOM: Jamie Brown (Eastleigh)
Despite Rochdale seemingly control the game in the horrible pitch conditions, we fought well and substitute Jamie Brown scored two goals, which saw us beat promotion favourites.

Forest Green 2-2 Eastleigh
MOM: Jamie Brown (Eastleigh)
I used a new away tactic and it seemed to work pretty well, until I lost in the last minute as they went really attacking and the likes of Fleetwood meant they got the late equalizer which I hate the most.

Transfer News
In - (ST)Andre - 28k -
Out - Fenemore To Basingstoke (Free)

Eastleigh 4-1 Salisbury - FA Cup 4th Qual. Round
MOM: Conor Larkin (Eastleigh)
Last time we played Salisbury, we were 3-0 down before we came back to win 4-3. This time, we learned from our mistakes and Larkin scored two goals to take us to the next round of the FA Cup. A cup upset according to the media.

Eastleigh will play Swindon Town in the FA Cup 1st Round at The County Ground (Swindon) on Saturday 8th November 2008.

Overview:
This month has been a decent month, although the previous saved file crashed, this could be a blessing in disguise, as we were 13th this time last saved game, but now we’re 7th! I hope we continue our good form. It’s also given me a chance to improve my away tactic. Our finance is slowly going back to the positives which is encouraging. The FA Cup draw against Swindon wasn’t the best but we’ll have to make do.

League Table:

Thanks for reading this months update, will update next month's progress in a week or twos time. Please comment and feel free to comment about the away tactic.

Yeah youre unhappy, but you havent lost mate. good results against Dorch, Gosport and Fisher and you put you won against Lewes...?

And our opinions of our own players is all that matters, I often think one of my new signings is good then get told the fans are unhappy. Stuff em!

Great update mate as usual, keep up the good work!

November

Eastleigh 2-1 Woking
MOM: Andy Brady (Eastleigh)
Andy Brady scored a late penalty to deny Woking a draw. Tommy English scored an open goal from 50 yards but Woking levelled when Giuseppe Sole equalized. However, it was all over when Eastleigh were awarded the penalty.

Tommy English has been selected in the Blue Square Premier Team of the Week.

Braintree 0-2 Eastleigh
MOM: Jamie Brown (Eastleigh)
The second time I used the new away tactic and it looks like it works. All we need to do is to reduce the amount of bookings. An excellent day of work. We’re now 4th in the table!!

Swindon Town 0-1 Eastleigh- FA Cup 1st Round
MOM: Andy Brady (Eastleigh)
We had to withstand a lot of pressure, but our defence was fantastic and Andy shows why he‘s Eastleigh‘s favourite personnel by tucking away the penalty! It may have been lucky we had a penalty, but this has to count as a major upset, a team beaten by another team

Vagner Leonardelli has been selected in the Blue Square Premier Team of the Week.

Eastleigh will play Mansfield in the FA Cup 2nd Round at Fields Mill on Saturday 29th November 2008.

York 2-1 Eastleigh
MOM: Dene Shields (York)
We did our best, but we consistently find ourselves defending rather then trying to shoot which is a currently the biggest problem of the tactic.

Jason St’Juste has been selected in the Blue Square Premier Team of the Week.

Transfer News
(DLC) Patrice Sorbara - Free

Eastleigh 3-0 Histon
MOM: Andy Morrow (Eastleigh)
It wasn’t a lot, but it was difficult playing on a snowy pitch. The keeper had a good game today and in my opinion, he was man of the match.

Vagner Leonardelli and Andy Morrow has been selected in the Blue Square Premier Team of the Week.

Eastleigh will play Histon in the FA Trophy 1st Round at Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 13th December 2008.

Farsley 1-2 Eastleigh
MOM: Chris Simm (Farsley)
It wasn’t much but a wins a win. We’ve cut Aldershot’s lead in front of us to 5 points.

Mansfield 1-1 Eastleigh - FA Cup 2nd Round
MOM: Luke Medley (Mansfield)
It was a good game, with us controlling most of the game although it was clear that Mansfield had the upper hand in the second half. We go into the reply with confidence as our home record shows.

Vagner Leonardelli and has been selected in the Blue Square Premier Team of the Week.

Overview:
I’m glad our away form is gradually improving. Hopefully, we can beat Mansfield, although they are favourites to beat us, I have no problem whatsoever in saying that we can beat them. The league is a tough one but I hope we can grab a good position in the league so next season we can mount a good promotion challenge.

Coca-Cola League Two Goal of the Month
The results of the goal award are as follows:

1st: Tommy English - Eastleigh
Lovely goal from Spitfires left back English as he scores a cheeky lob from way outside of the area (Sorry About Quality lol)

2nd: Anthony Griffiths - Halifax
The Halifax central midfielder delights fans and pundits alike by scoring a powerful effort from the edge of the area.

3rd: Marco Adaggio - Stafford
A truly memorable goal from Stafford striker Adaggio as he hit a curling shot from the edge of the area.

December

Eastleigh will play York in the Setanta Shield 4th Round at Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 20th December 2008.

Eastleigh 2-1 Aldershot
MOM: Andy Brady (Eastleigh)
It was a decent result and it’s well worth noticing that we won once and lost once against second placed Aldershot . I thought we’ve won it when Andy converted the penalty, but Larkin scored an unfortunate own goal to deny us the win.

Eastleigh 6-2 Mansfield - FA Cup 2nd Round Replay
MOM: Andy Brady (Eastleigh)
Injuries: Patrik Ntola Mkhawana (Eastleigh) - Pulled hamstrings, out for 2-4 Weeks

What a thriller today, which saw 7 minutes of stoppage time and we scored four goals in extra time! Special praises for Andy who scored two penalties and Jamie Garry, the sub who scored two goals and Luke Holden, who did superbly on the left wing! We’re in the third round for the first time in history!! You must see the screenshot!

Eastleigh will play Q.P.R in the FA Cup 3rd Round at Loftus Road on Saturday 3rd January 2009.

Eastleigh 2-1 Histon - FA Trophy 1st Round
MOM: Andy Brady (Eastleigh)
I think we were the better side today but we were pretty lucky that they screwed up the penalty!

Eastleigh will play Stevenage in the FA Trophy 2nd Round at Silverlake Stadium on Saturday 20th December 2008.

Transfer News
Out: Mark Graham to Lindfield ( £0 + Clause)

Torquay 3-3 Eastleigh
MOM: Geovanni (Eastleigh)
Injury: Jason St’Juste, bruised head, out for 5 days- 1 week
It’s really outrageous why there was 6 minutes of stoppage time. We were 2-0 down but we came back to lead 3-2 but they scored on the 93rd minute! Oh w
ell, a draw against favourites isn’t bad enough.

Eastleigh 2-1 York - Setanta Shield 4th Round
MOM: Matt Johnson (York)
I think we were lucky to escape with a narrow win. The conditions of the pitch didn’t help and they dominated the game. They were the better team but we deserved to go through (who wouldn’t say that?)

Halifax 1-1 Eastleigh
MOM: Andy Morrow (Eastleigh)
Injury: Andy Brady, fractured arm, out for 3-4 weeks
Surprisingly, we dominated the game but Halifax did miss some sitters. The keeper, normally a sub, made a horrible mistake and I thought we were gonna lose it. But Andy did superb and scored a brilliant last gasp goal to deny them a win. Unfortunate injury for Brady, who has done superbly on the right wing.

Eastleigh 3-0 Burton
MOM: Andy Morrow (Eastleigh)
We were the better team and Andy Morrow got a deserved hat trick which he score within 13minutes.

Overview:
A good month in my opinion, but injuries and fatigue is starting to sink in a bit. From what I see so far this season, I will probably be looking for a 6th-10th place finish.
