First season and no real high hopes!! no money to spend and a fairly poor squad apart from Nightingale and Walis-Taylor. i told the board that i would reach mid table (i thought this might be quite difficult)

i appointed the usually goal shy Luke Nightingale as Captain which somehow made him pick up his game!! Along side him was the sensational Andy Morrow who was my star of the season along with the fans player of the year!!

The end of the season looked like this!!! A complete shock with me just loosing out in the playoff final 2-1 after going 1-0 up!!

Now the start of the second season and i am tipped for promotion!! No money in the kitty AGAIN but we have something to work with!!

Now almost at the half way mark and the boys are doing well without a loss in the league played 19 won 10 and drawn 9!!

Not long after my firstpost did i lose my first game!!! Away to AFC Wimbledon 3-1 courtesy of a Stevie Ferguson hattrick!!!!

But still we press on with only 1 loss out of 25 in the league, problem being we are drawing as many as we are winning so we are not opening up the gap we should have. Along with the fact that we had to draft in an emergancy replacement for our talismanic left winger Padraig Drew in the form of Ruben French on loan from Brighton (our parent club). The real supprise has been Andy Morrow's lack of goals but Robert Duffy, formaly of Oxfords, current form with 15 goals so far making him our top goal scorer. With the team playing a very defensive, narrow, direct counter attack i hope we can hold our position at the top unlike last season!??!? All we need to do is keep players fit like Hadji and Hegan as there experiance is invaluable!!

Heres hoping the Rocks can make the step up to professional football!!!

I had Hadji for my Tai Po team in hong kong. He might be old but he does a great job if you are a small club.

We are at the end of the second season and after an amazing start things then dropped for us after the injury of defender Ross Hegan. Still now at the end with one game to go and still a chance of automatic promotion!!!



However top goal scorer and team talisman Andy Morrow broke his jaw with 3 games left!!



so in came Broadbent from huddersfield for 2k (the first bit of cash i have spent on a player)



So it is down to the last game of the season and i NEED results to go my way and a convincing win over Tiverton away from home!!

Tiverton 1 - 1 Bognor

So in to the playoffs again for the second season on the trot!!! We have been drawn against Forest Green so am fairly confident, however my contract is up at the end of the season and there has been speculation about me staying!!!

Playoff semi leg 1

a 2-1 defeat at home!!!! and here i was feeling confident....it did not help that Andy Morrow was still sidelined and Broadbent had to come in for his debuet!!

leg 2

what a turn around by The Rocks with their unbreakable away form they take the game to Forest Green and smash them 4-1 thanks to a bit of magic from new boy Broadbent and loanee French!! The manager is extatic and just hopes they can do what they couldn't last season and win promotion!!!



Playoff Final

And it is Bognor Regis versus Sutton United!! Now the last time the two teams met Sutton were top of the table and i beat them 4-0 but this was the playoff final so i wasn't expecting an easy game!! I lined up in our usual 4-4-2 counter attack formation which had been sooo good for us away from home all season and low and behold we came out with a 4-1 victory!!

Bognor promoted to the Blue Square Premier!!!!

In other news Max Cooper is given a two year extension on his contract!!!! He vows to keep the club up with limited resources!!

Andy Morrow grabs the fans player of the year award again! Max Cooper comes runner up in the BSS manager of the season!!

Yeah is gonna be really hard!! Need to overhaul my defence and just hope that my goalie can cut it! Sold my Vice Captain and top centre back Ross Hegan for 50k as i am slowly falling deeper and deeper into debt because of the end of seasons bonuses!!

yea, that can be annoying, but you'll find once u do well in Blue Square Premier, your finance willl slowly go back up. Good luck in BSP! Interested to know, did Eastleigh finish in the bottom 3?
