Default Arsenal Kiev new champions?

I take control of Arsenal Kiev and am immediatly told I have got 2m to spend on new players for the coming season and I have 2 years to establish myself in the Ukrainian High League.

Naturally being abitious I have told my board I will be qualifying for europe through the league this season (may be a mistake we will have to wait and see) they increased my budget to 3.2m though but will i be able to tempt any good players to join my team.

With a 83000 capacity stadium in the capital I should be able to get plenty of money in from ticket sales if i can steer the team in the right direction and realise the potential of this could be great club.

The only real challenges I should face are in the form of Dinamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk though overturning any of these teams may be a struggle as they have mass finances to throw into players and wages.

Shrewd transfers and a lot of luck may be key in making a success of myself at this lowly club who are expected to come in at 10th this eason.

Finally getting around to play this, the top 2 teams are champions league (prob only qualifiers for both) the 3rd gets euro cup and the 4th euro vase depending on who wins the cup.

Going to try make some signings then will post a couple of screenshots before the start of the season.

Well, I got through the friendly matches, 2 wins against lowly ukrainian sides, 2 defeats against superior opposition and a draw against a team expecting a win so not too bad results so far.

Annoying that the supporters expect me to do well against Real Madrid of all teams =\

The tactics I used to destroy the lower Brazilian leagues, while managing Itapipoca, am giving them another go in Ukraine to see if they have the same effect.

The Media Seem to think we are getting relegated, I think I should prove them wrong.

Here are the transfers I am trying to make, Looking to bring in some brazilians on the cheap, unfortunatly the better players I have tried to get are not coming until January On the plus side when Caio does finally arrive he is being dubbed as the possible new Kaka. At 1.2m i hope he plays like him...

1000-1
Ouch lol

Hopefully that tactic will rip the Ukranian league apart. Good luck with the season. Hopefully it goes a bit better than the media expect it to lol

A run of good results have allowed Arsenal Kiev to rise as high as second place in the league, with Shahktar and Dinamo Kiev both below them in the table they have got a lot of work to do if they are to stay there.

They were close to going into August with back to back fixtures against the big 2, lucky for them a cup match has pushed back the Dinamo match, 2 defeats in a row this early in the season could have dealt a big blow to confidence but now with an easy cup match soon they have a good chance to string a couple of wins together.

The manager is silently praying for January and his new players though as the midfield is a little bit lacking in talent at the minute and it could make them suffer if some injuries to key players were to happen.

For now though Arsenal are happy being the #1 team in the capital no mater how brief the stint may be, with Dinamos recent results though (losing the super cup to Shakhtar then getting beat by them in the league) it may be possible for Arsenal to stay there a while longer.

Yeah he seems about the only one capable of scoring for the team so far, going to have to try buy a new goalscorer who can do it regularly.

On a side note, Dinamo Kiev are having a rubbish season so far, bad results in the league, just scraping through the 1st round of the cup on penalties against a lower league side and getting beat 3-1 at home in champs league 3rd round qual. by Dinamo Bucharest. Could be the domestic treble for Shakhtar if things keep going like this.

A lot of suprises this month, Dinamo Kiev put out of champions league in 3rd qual's also they slip into the relegation zone and were beat by Arsenal Kiev thanx to some stubborn goalkeeping (could swear my goalkeeper is a bricklayer, he seems to have a wall in front of his net when he plays despite average stats).

then there was this...

Some new Strikers adding a touch real talent to the Arsenal squad as well as Pagliuca coming in (on a free transfer, hewas without a club) to challenge for the number 1 top until Everton arrives in January

Ganea on a free ftw he refused to sign a new Bucharest contract so I thought I would give it a go.

needed to pay 170k for Toth but with talent like his it looks to be a nice transfer so far.

Despite losing the first match of the month to a strong Shakhtar side my team came back well and finished the rest of the month unbeaten to progress to the second round of the cup and end up second in the league on goal difference

not sure what is wrong with the big 2, their teams are strong enough to win every match, yet Kiev are getting flattened by most teams or cutting their wins very fine, Shakhtar while not doing as bad should still be getting better results.

Looks like it may not have been a mistake declaring we will be seeing european football next season after all.

Another month and Arsenal Kev are looking unstopable, they have had a good run against some easy teams and even progressed in the cup to the 3rd round against another non league team, is a double likely here, is it even possible or will the big 2 continue their revival and charge to the top?

Ganea starting to look like the best free transfer ever, still cannot believe my luck in finding him, just as well i decided to scout the team that put Dinamo out of the Champions League.

Dropped out of the number one spot yet again briefly as my early month dodgy form continues, managed to bring it back within the next 2 games to retake the league.

Dinamo Kiev and Shakhtar are both preforming badly making this anyones league for the taking and I hope to see me maintaining the challenge until January when my new players will hopefully give me another boost to make a good challenge.
