FMF Save Game V2 Queens Park Rangers

Due to the fact that the first FMF save game file got corrupted i decided to offer my QPR save file to start a new FMF save game (v2)

Season Expectations
Top Half finish is wot i told my board and for this i got 17.5m to spend in the transfer market

Feeder Club
I got offered either MK Dons,Grays or Stevenage as feeder clubs, i decided on MK dons

Transfer Dealings (upto 11/08/07)
The first thought on my mind was to strength the squad for a promotion push, even though i told the board a top half finish i reall want to achieve promotion if i can, with this in mind i signed the followin players

Tactic for the season
Decided early on the go with a 442 formation which i created myself just for this game (can be avaliable for testing if anyone is interested =P)

Pre-season friendlies

Bury 0-3 QPR (Blackstock,Stancu,Barker)

Clyde 2-5 QPR (Priskin 3,Stancu,Blackstock)

Peterborough 0-5 QPR (Priskin,Buzsaky,Stancu 2,Blackstock)

Longford 2-6 QPR (Hall,Blackstock 2,Torje,Rowlands,Stancu)

Bath 0-2 QPR (Musampa,Torje)

Not bad results in pre-season, the lads gained match fitness which is wot was needed and they look like there starting to gel to the tactic aswell alround good pre season =)

So i got drawn against Shrewsbury Town at Home, a fixture in which i can maybe try a few tactical tweaks and fringe players.

A good display from the lads,played a weaken side to a certain extent but still won quite easy which is all good.

5th's not bad at this stage of the season i suppose, think team is starting to settle down together and my two latest signings can only strenghten the squad more.

Well i never saw this coming to be honest, the score line doesn’t show the
whole story as Reading dominated from start to finish but hey were in the hat for the next round.

Right i get the save game from lee who missed out on promotion by a whisker so the first i do is look at how much i got to spend and i end up with 22mill so i planned to spend big and i do:



I get off to good start to the league campaign floating around the playoffs till December then the wheels start to come off and im getting further and further away from the light at the end of tunnel.So we are heading into the final run in then out of the blue i get approached by the press asking me if i was interested in the Derby job who at this point are sitting in a promotion place i said i was interested so come March they offered me the job which i took,so we got 6 games left with playoffs a cert.Finally end up with a place in the playoffs with a semi final against Wolves which we lost the 1st 3-1 so i throw the hairdryer and hairspray in anger 2nd leg we won 2-1 losing 4-3 on agg.

Let the story continue..................
