Im using the new Beta Database, 8.03.
Running leagues i've got USA, Belgium, England, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Scotland, Australia and Brazil (scouting purposes) All these league are running at lowest league and above.
I've taken over at Liverpool. Sacked some staff (mainly the spainish ones) replaced them with Ray Clemence (gk coach) Andy Feeley (assistant Manager) Jamie Redknapp (coach) plus i've added scouts (got 9 in total) and set-up a network from all the regions.
Just started, and so far not sold anybody or brought anybody but have placed Pennant on the transfer list. Shipped some youngesters out to affilated clubs, and asked for another which turned out to be Sint-Truident of Belgium.
David Bentley has been recommended to me, and im attempting to sign him. (something the real Liverpool team is missing a decent right winger, and im scouting Klaas-JAn Hunterlaar from Ajax (a friend recommended him from his game.)

Got drawn against Sparta Prague in the Champions League Qualifiers 3rd round
Opening day of the season Vs Sunderland (A)11-8-07
Went 1-0 down after 3 minutes to a Kenwyne Jones Strike, it stayed that way until the 60th minute (including Gerrard missing a penalty after 29 minutes) when Crouch came on and changed the game. He scored with his 1st touch a delightful chip past the keeper. Then a Crouch break through forced a corner from which Carragher (yes Carragher) scored making it 2-1 after 69 minutes. We had many chances after that (Crouch missing a couple as did Kuyt) but none were taken.
Final score Sunderland 1-2 Liverpool
Vs Sparta Prague (H) 15-8-07
1-0 up after 9 minutes, Torres and Kuyt work well together ending with a tap in for Torres. then 2-0 after 34 minutes as Kuyt goes alone and slots it in. Torres then had to go off injuried on 76 minutes, replaced him with Vorinin. Prague then had Sivok sent off (87) and Voronin scored a 3rd in the 91st minute.
Final Score Liverpool 3-0 Sparta Prague
(Torres out injured for 2 months with Fractured ribs)
Vs Derby (A) 18-8-07
Started with Crouch as Torres injured. Kuyt unhappy as i rejected a bid from Inter. Game kicked off and for the majority of the 1st half Crouch peppered the target but couldn't score, Then went 1-0 up through a Klukowski own goal, should have been Crouch's but it went in off Klukowski.
Final score Derby 0-1 Liverpool (boring game, but a win none the less)
Accepted a 10million bid for Crouch from Tottenham
Had bids accepted for Gai Assulin (Barcelona U19) and Ryan Taylor (wigan) both signed before next game
Vs West Ham (H) 22-8-07
Assulin and Taylor both make Debut
Went 1-0 down through a Antonia Di Natale strike, when West Ham hit us on the break from a corner forced by Assulin. Then went 2-0 down as Craig Bellamy burst through again on the break from one of our corners. Went ballistic at half time with individual anger shown to most of the player.
Straight from kick off Kuyt ran through their defence and scored making it 2-1. Then after 53rd minute Kuyt again burst through shrugging off Anton Ferdinand in the process and slotted past green making it 2-2. From then on We aattacked for the rest of the game, but couldn't take our chances. including Gerrard hitting the bar in the 93rd minute.
Final Score Liverpool 2-2 West Ham
Crouch signed for Spurs for 10 million.
Vs Tottenham (H) 25-8-07
Crouch on the bench.
38 seconds into the game and Lennon scored from 25 yards. 1-0. Stayed that way til half time, when i showed encouragement to the whole team and declared Gerrard and Kuyt could make a differnce. On 49 minutes Gerrard hit a screamer from 30yards which flew past Robinson making it 1-1. Again We attacked none stop and on 69 minutes Voronin slooted home a low cross from Ryan Taylor. Game died after that and it finished 2-1.
Final score Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham
Vs Sparta Prague (A) 29-8-07 (3-0 up on agg)
Lost Gai Assulin to injury in the 16th minute. Then on 28 Prague scored through Kulic after he burst down the left and cut inside to score. Stayed that way til the 81st minute when Kulic again scored this time from a corner making it 2-0. Set up a really tense finish. In the 93rd minute Agger brought Kulic down in the area giving Prague a penalty which Kulic missed. Would have foreced extra time.
Final score Sparta Prague 2-0 Liverpool (2-3 on aggrigate)
Got drawn into group G with Stuttgard, Anderlect and Lazio. Hardest group in the Champions League.
With Transfer deadline day approaching made a desperate attempt to sign Hunterlaar, wnet as high as 19m (all i hadl left) but was rejected so made a bid for Eddison Cavani from Palmero, (was highly recommended by 2 of my scouts) signed him for 10m. But his work permitt was rejected so he's unable to play until it's reviewed!!!!! so stuck with Voronin and Kuyt up front with Lindfield on the bench. Beginning to think selling Crouch was a mistake!
Summary
2nd in the league with 10 points, 2 behind Man City and 2 in front of Bolton in 3rd.
Came second in the manager of the month award, behind Sven.
Qualifed for the group stages of Chamions League
Lost Torres for another month.

Got Drawn against Plymouth in the 3rd round of the Carling cup
Vs Fulham 1-9-07 (A)
Gerrard missd a penalty after 3 minutes, Niemi saved. Then went 1-0 up after Voronin and Kuyt combined well with Kuyt grabbing the goal. on 65 minutes Gerrard scores after rounding off a move which consistated of several passes.
Final Score Fulham 0-2 Liverpool
England 4-0 Isreal
England 3-0 Russia
England now in 2nd place in the group
Gerrard returned injured out for a week
Vs Man City 15-9-07 (H)
With no Gerrard started with Babel in the middle and Kewell on the left. After his work Permitt was reviewed Cavani starts on the bench.
Went 1-0 down after 11 minutes to a benjani solo effort. Brought Canvani on at half time for his debut.
Boring 2nd half, not much happened. until Castillo scored in the 92nd minute with the last kick of the game.
Final score Liverpool 0-2 Man City
Vs Stuttgart (H) Champions League
Gerrard returned and Torres on the bench. Cavani makes 1st start at Voronin's exspence. 3 Minutes in and Gomez scores 1-0, volley from a corner. 16 minutes and Kuyt equalises after Babel made a sublime pass. 19 minutes and Cacau makes it 2-1 Stuttgart.30th minute and Alonso has to go off injured, replace him with Mascherano.
After half time on 64th minute Gomez makes it 3-1. then in the 78th minute Benayoun makes it 3-2, we're back in with a shout...........pepper the stuttgart goal until in the 93rd minute Khedira makes it 4-2 after Hitzelperger mhits the bar.
Final Score Liverpool 2-4 Stuttgart
Alonso out for 5 days
Vs Reading 23-9-07 (H)
12th minute and Cavani scores his first Liverpool goal, after Assulin destroys the defence. But Cavani has to go off injured after 36 minutes. Replaced by Torres (1st game back) Just before half time Kuyt picked up a knock, replaced him with Benayoun, put babel up front. in the 69th minute Reading counter attack, resulting in Kitson scoring an equaliser. With the game pittering out (went all out attack) Carragher burst through to score in the 89th minute!!! Yes Carragher in open play!!!!

Vs Plymouth (H) Carling Cup
Started with amuch changed team, Torres started as did, Lucas, Skrtel, Finnan, Itandje, Lindfield and Kewell.
14th minute Gerrard scored, 33rd Plymouth equalised through Majiala, thought it was going to be 1 of those Liverpool days! 36th minute Torres scores a great solo goal, 40th minute Torres again volley from a corner. Second half was abore until 83rd minute when Torres scored to complete is hatrick then 89th minute Gerrard scored his 2nd.
Final score Liverpool 5-1 Plymouth
Vs Birmingham 29-9-07 (A)
Back to my full strength team.
30th minute Torres Scores, header from a Assulin cross, 1-0.
in the 41st minute James McFadden scores vfor birmingham, shrugged off Agger to make it 1-1. 54th minute Kuyt hits Brum on the break to make it 2-1. then in the 92nd minute Ridgewell makes it 3-1 with an own goal.
Final score Birmingham 1-3 Liverpool
Torres injured again, 2 weeks this time.
Drawn against Leeds in the 4th round of the Carling Cup.

IMO you dont need Klass Jan due to the arrival of Cavani who plays super if the right tactics are used :P
