Wozza- That comment was just a bit creepy lol =P
But yeah Wolves were in L1, but just got promoted.

trapdoor- Kept the same formation for entire season (basic 4-4-2 with wingers running forward and then just lots of tweaks to the team and player instructions).

Thanks to everyone for support as well :)
I won't be giving this up no way. Here's the rest of the season....

APRIL

BEDFORD 4-1 Brentford
Two goals each from Boakye and Love hand Bedford another three points. It breaks the L2 record for most goals scored, and gives Boakye the most Bedford league goals in a season record.

Chester 0-0 BEDFORD
Bedford end the game with nine men (Ledgister sent off and Rayner injured) but still grab a point against Chester.

BEDFORD 3-0 Accrington
There has been no stopping Boakye this season as he scores his 37th league goal in 34 league apps. Love and Stead are on target for the other goals.
Bedford have now broken the highest L2 points tally record. The next target is to hit 100pts, which is just 2pts away.

Shrewsbury 3-5 BEDFORD
Sharman, Boakye (2), Love and Rayner are all on target in a goalfest at the New Meadow.

MAY

BEDFORD 2-0 Swindon
Goals from Boakye and Sharman complete an amazing season for Bedford.
Not only have we destroyed the league (by 21pts) but we have not lost at home all season. Not bad for a 300 seater with 2700 standing.

We are also now officially better than Bolton and Middesbrough as they'll be in L2 next season after relegation.

Boakye takes a massive sweep of awards and records away with him this season.
- League Two signing of the season
- League Two top goalscorer (40)
- League Two highest average rating (7.81)
- League Two most Man of Match (17) - Record
- Record for most Bedford goals in a season (41)
- Record for most Bedford League goals in a season (40)
- Record for most Bedford MOM in a season (17)
- Record for highest Bedford average rating (7.70)
- Bedford Fans Player of the Year

SUMMER NEWS

- Stadium expansion - just new seats though so no increase (I reckon)
- Had to publicly deny links to Chelsea.... they still approach me. Turned down.
- Portsmouth approach me... turned down. Probably 4th best team in England.
- I sign a new one year extension with Bedford to keep me here for another two seasons.

INS
New striker, Michael Donaldson from Hearts. Fans excited.
Jamie Chambers (RB). Was on loan two seasons ago. looks a better player now - free
Donaghy - 1.2mill rated left back on loan from Forest
Keeper Thomson on a free. Back up to Rigg

33-1 for promotion.... not bad

AUGUST

Boakye ruled out of the start of the season with an injury which is a big shame.

BEDFORD 1-1 Southampton
Bedford make a good start to L1 football with a draw against recently relegated Southampton. An own goal gave Bedford the lead before it was pegged back to 1-1.
Beresford misses yet another penalty, but Rigg saves a penalty for Bedford. Keeperb!

BEDFORD 5-0 Hereford
Donaldson kicks off his tally in style with a fine hat-trick as Bedford destroy Hereford. Other goals come from Love and 18yr old debutant striker Simon Berry (due to injuries to Boakye and Rayner).

Lincoln 0-0 BEDFORD
Beresford was sent off for Bedford after 55 minutes, and it surprisingly turned the game in Bedford's favour. Despite having the ball in the net, it ended 0-0.

BEDFORD 1-2 Aston Villa ----- League Cup
Despite being far from full strength, Bedford fight bravely against Championship side Villa with Love scoring for the home side.

Colchester 1-0 BEDFORD
Bedford put up a brave fight but come away with nothing.

BEDFORD 2-1 Plymouth
Boakye makes his first start of the season but it's Beresford and Donaldson who get the goals to give Bedford a win despite being dominated by Plymouth.

Definitely an encouraging start to the season, and once Boakye finds his form again and Rayner returns, we'll have all cylinders firing.

SEPTEMBER

Scunthorpe 3-2 BEDFORD
An under strength Bedford side lose against fellow recently promoted side Scunthorpe. Beresford misses yet another penalty, as Booth and Boakye get two late goals to give us some dignity.

BEDFORD 5-3 Rushden ------ JPT 1st Round
Bedford make short work of Rushden as Love (2), Stewart and Boakye put Bedford four up after just 23 minutes. Stewart scores his second late on. Rushden fight back but not enough.

BEDFORD 4-3 Bristol City
Beresford (pen), Boakye (2) and Love score as Bedford grab a massive win over Bristol City.

Rochdale 0-3 BEDFORD
Stead, Russell and Boakye give Bedford all three points with another early blitz. Rigg saves a penalty late on for Bedford.

BEDFORD 1-3 Crewe
Boakye scores but Crewe fight back strong to take all the points. Rayner makes his return off the bench but to no effect.

Somehow, we end September in 7th and I'm really not sure how we've done it.

Technically he is a left back but his stats show striker potential so that's where I play him... and it works like a charm. I've been training him to turn a striker and despite the fact his striker position is 'unconvincing' he just bangs the goals in.

OCTOBER

Newcastle 2-1 BEDFORD
Despite Bedford taking the lead with a Stewart goal, Newcastle came back to grab all three points.

BEDFORD 3-1 Burnley
Bedford shock league leaders Burnley with goals from Love, Boakye and Jones. A stunning result.

Rotherham 1-3 COLOR="Blue"]BEDFORD[/color]
Two goals from Love and one from Stewart give Bedford their second win on the trot which puts us in 7th in a very tight league. Five points separate 5th to 17th.

BEDFORD 2-0 Swindon ----- JPT 2nd Round
Bedford leave it late to make it to the southern Qtr Finals for the first time after another two goals from the bizarre success story that is Damien Love.

Dag & Red 0-3 BEDFORD
Boakye scores twice including an amazing run deep in his own half. Love completes the win late on.
I'm really starting to worry about goal-less Rayner. Hasn't adapted to L1, whereas Love is blooming.

BEDFORD 2-1 Oxford
It's that young man again as Love scores twice to maintain Bedford's winning streak.

BEDFORD 2-1 Peterborough
Bedford come from behind through a Beresford penalty and a late strike from Donaldson.
Beresford missed a second penalty.

Another manager of the month award to my collection
I don't want to excite Wozza and everyone else too much but...

Here's some Love screenshots as requested

Thanks for all the support again

NOVEMBER

Wycombe 1-1 BEDFORD
Stead scores as Bedford only manage a draw.

BEDFORD 2-0 Cheltenham
Rayner finally breaks his L1 duck as Bedford continue their fantastic form. Donaldson seals the game in injury time.

The whole of England are welcomed to the new looking New Eyrie as 1387 extra fans get to have a seat for the FA Cup clash. A proud day for Bedford fans as the capacity is now 4387
BEDFORD 1-0 Newcastle ----- FA Cup 1st Round (Live on Sky Sports)
Only 20 short of a full attendance see Bedford provide a shock to put themselves in the 2nd round draw. Beresford scores the only goal of the game. What a way to christen the new seats with a FA Cup win over an ex-Prem side live on TV.

BEDFORD 2-0 Bournemouth ----- JPT South Qtr Final
Two goals from Love send Bedford into the last four of the JPT South.

Aldershot 3-4 BEDFORD
Bedford come from 2-0 down to claim yet another win with goals from Jones, Boakye (2) and Rayner.

The top of the table looks something like this...

Stoke P18 38pts
BEDFORD P18 36pts
Burnley P19 35pts
Lincoln P19 34pts

DECEMBER

Cardiff 0-2 BEDFORD
Boakye and Love score to... and wait for it.... send Bedford (after every team has played 19 games) to the top of League One!!!!!
Note-Beresford misses another penalty.

Swansea 0-4 BEDFORD ----- FA Cup 2nd Round
10 man Bedford put themselves in the 3rd round draw with a fantastic win against the odds. Love, Boakye, Beresford and Donaldson all score.

BEDFORD 4-1 Oldham
Boakye (2), Farrell and Beresford pile on the misery for Oldham as Bedford cannot stop winning.

Bedford's 14 games unbeaten is a new record.

Tore Moland (Norway international DLC, DM, MLC) signs on a free after an impressive trial. A good signing for any Championship side. He'll become a Bedford player on Jan 1st.

Stoke 4-2 BEDFORD
A weakened Bedford side crash to their first defeat for 15 games. Boakye scores twice for Bedford.

Bird has to deny any link to Chelsea job... again.

BEDFORD 2-0 Tranmere
Boakye and Donaldson get Bedford back on track
Beresford misses another penalty. I'm going to have to buy someone especially for penalties.

Southend 3-5 BEDFORD
With Bedford 3-0 down with 16 minutes to go, it seemed Bedford were on course for a loss but a stunning late show from Bedford stun Bedford. Two goals each from Boakye and Love and an own goal

Hereford 1-2 BEDFORD
Love scores twice to keep Bedford top of the table going into the new year.

I might just do that but no-one else is any good at penalties. I'm sure someone in the summer will be good. Already snapped up two young French players who will join in the summer.

Also next update (Jan/Feb) is a real goody. Wozza might have a fit lol =P

Thanks for all the support
This update could damage your health. It nearly did mine lol

JANUARY

Southampton 1-2 BEDFORD
Love and Boakye score to give Bedford the win which puts them 5pts clear.

Barnet 0-5 BEDFORD ----- FA Cup 3rd Round
Love scores a hat-trick to put Bedford into the fourth round for first time ever. Boakye puts in a fantastic performance too scoring the other two goals.

Oxford 2-3 BEDFORD ----- JPT South Semi Final
Love scores twice as Bedford book a place in the JPT South Final! Boakye scores the other crucial goal for Bedford.

BEDFORD 0-3 Colchester
Colchester do the double over 10 man Bedford. We still keep in 1st with game in hand though.

BEDFORD 2-3 Lincoln
Bedford leave confused as they lose their second game in a row... both at home. Love and Boakye on target for home side.

Plymouth 3-2 BEDFORD
Despite dominating, we just couldn't score or defend. Donaldson gives us some dignity with two goals but a shocking performance. Down to 3rd in league.

Leeds 0-0 BEDFORD ----- FA Cup 4th Round
Bedford match Leeds and take them to a replay. A much more encouraging performance.

Let's hope February brings better form, and maybe a trip to New Anfield.
That's right, if we beat Leeds... we're off to do a Barnsley.

FEBRUARY

Bristol City 1-5 BEDFORD
Bedford finally return to fine form with a hat-trick from Boakye and one each from Farrell and Love.

BEDFORD 1-1 Rochdale
Donaldson comes off the bench to rescue a point against Rochdale. Not a fantastic performance though.

BEDFORD 4-1 Leeds ----- FA Cup Replay
WOOOOOOOOOO! lol
A man of the match display from keeper Rigg as he single handedly shut Leeds out. Goals from Boakye, Stead and sub Donaldson (2) made it look easy when it was far from it. Bring on Liverpool!
Bad news for Bedford and Boakye. He'll miss the Liverpool clash

Crewe 0-2 BEDFORD
Donaldson is really hitting form at the right time as he scores his 4th in three games. Stead scores the second goal in the win.
Rigg continues his form with another penalty save.

Liverpool 1-2 BEDFORD ---- FA Cup 5th Round
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rigg is man of the match and keeps Liverpool (3rd in Prem) out of it. Donaldson and Moland get the goals before Liverpool pegged one back to make it so tense but we managed to get through. We were 15-1 for a victory as well. This season is officially amazing.

BEDFORD 2-3 Bristol City ----- JPT South Final Leg 1
Bedford come crashing down to earth with a first leg defeat to Bristol City. Love and Garner are on target for the home side.

BEDFORD 6-2 Rotherham
A hat-trick from Love, two from Boakye and one from Beresford close the gap on leaders Newcastle. 5pts behind with two games in hand.
Beresford missed another penalty, but passed the rebound to Love for one of his goals so he's forgiven lol.

MARCH

Bristol City 1-3 BEDFORD ----- JPT South Final Leg 2 (TV)
BEDFORD win 5-4 on agg
With 30 mins remaining and 2-4 down on agg, Bedford turn up the heat which proves all too much for Bristol City. Boakye, Love and Donaldson all score to book a place in the JPT Final at Wembley.

Oxford 1-3 BEDFORD
Love (2) and Moland make small work of Oxford as Bedford take another step closer in their bid for a second successive league title.

BEDFORD 1-1 Scunthorpe
Dirty Scunthorpe injure Bedford so we end the game with nine men but a Love goal means we get a point. Donaghy will miss the FA Cup clash.

Bird to hit the 1000 game mark as a manager against Championship side Everton in the FA Cup Qtr Final. Will he be celebrating?

Everton 2-5 BEDFORD ----- FA Cup Qtr Final
Boakye, Beresford (pen!!), Love (2) and Stead make it one hell of a night to remember. Bedford, who five years ago where in the BSN have made it to FA CUP SEMI FINALS!!!!!!!

Peterborough 2-1 BEDFORD
Bedford's luck finally runs out as they're reduced to 10 men (Tom Stead) and lose against 22nd placed Peterborough. Donaldson on target for the home side.

BEDFORD 4-1 Wycombe
Bedford back to their usual self with goals from Love. Beresford (pen!!!) and Russell (2). I'm worried fatigue will set in soon and ruin everything, although after Newcastle we have a nice week and a half break before JPT final.

BEDFORD 0-3 Newcastle
With Bedford's two usual centre backs suspended, and Tom Stead sent off again after 13 minutes, the title has started to swing in Newcastle's favour. It's far from over though.

What a season... although the amount of fixtures we have is unreal. It'll be over 60 games.
Coming up soon.....
Two trips to Wembley (JPT Final vs Tranmere, FA Cup vs Leicester)
Second successive league title?
