Here we go.... bit later than I said lol

APRIL

BEDFORD 9-2 Tranmere ----- JPT Final
In a near sell-out crowd (89,989! We have that many fans?), Bedford were far from full strength but it didn't show one bit as they absolute decimate Tranmere to lift the JPT.
Russell, Farrell (pen), Love (2), Donaldson (2), Boakye (2) and a returning Rayner all on target as Bedford.

Burnley 3-2 BEDFORD
I think the chase for the outright title is over now but automatic promotion is still very much on the cards unless we start throwing it away more often. Love and Beresford (pen) on target for Bedford.

BEDFORD 2-0 Leicester ----- FA Cup Semi Final (TV)
How has this happened??? If anyone had told me I'd be going to the FA Cup Final with Bedford in the next couple of seasons, I would have laughed with them.
Russell and Love score to send Bedford to Wembley for the third time this season where they will meet West Ham.
You're lucky to go once, but three times??!! This game loves me.

Most teams have just three games left in League One... I have EIGHT!

BEDFORD 2-0 Dag & Red
Boakye and Rayner score the goals in a comfortable win. That title is still ours for the taking.

BEDFORD 0-0 Stoke
Bedford fail to use the man advantage and draw against fellow title contenders Stoke. Still could go to either two or Newcastle, but Newcastle definitely in the driving seat.

BEDFORD 4-0 Aldershot
Bedford keep their title hopes alive and kicking with another hat-trick from Love and a penalty from Beresford. 47 goals for Love this season!!

BEDFORD 2-1 Cardiff
Love adds to his tally while Beresford scores twice (one pen) to keep the points rolling to close down Newcastle.

Oldham 3-2 BEDFORD
Bedford's title dream is effectively over now and it is now a fight between us and Stoke for 2nd place. I will be gutted if we don't get it. Luckily we have a far superior goal difference.
Boakye and Donaldson score for Bedford. Jones misses a late penalty.

I get Manager and Loves gets Player of the Month. Let's hope we can secure auto promo

MAY

Tranmere 0-2 BEDFORD
Rayner and Boakye score to keep the pressure on and the title is possible again as Plymouth thrash Newcastle.

Cheltenham 1-4 BEDFORD
A hat-trick from Love (51 goals now) and one from Donaldson score to make the last day a bit easier and not so tense.

It really has gone down to the wire... we haven't had a break once this season and the cup final will be our 63rd competitive game... so let's hope we don't have to go to the play-offs. Also let's hope Newcastle screw up.
Newcastle 88pts +39
Bedford 87pts +43
Stoke 85pts +15

BEDFORD 3-1 Southend
Donaldson, Rayner and Jones give Bedford the win to secure another promotion
But does a league title come with it?
Answer: Sadly no... but it's still a promotion!!!

Big Relegations
Grimsby relegated out of the league system
Middlesbrough relegated to BSP

And so to the cup final... West Ham finished 10th and won a little something called the League Cup.... WE'RE GOING TO EUROPE REGARDLESS!!!!

West Ham 2-1 BEDFORD ----- FA Cup Final
Bedford put up a hell of a fight and didn't disgrace themselves one bit and leave with their heads held high. Boakye gets the single Bedford goal in what really feels like a cup win just being there.
Chambers misses an injury time penalty. It really could have been our day but it wasn't to be.

WHAT A SEASON!!!
Promotion to the Championship on first attempt!!
The Johnstones Paint Trophy!
FA Cup Finalist!!!
Plus we're in the UEFA Cup next season!

Well done reaching the FA Cup final and Europe. Hard luck with the pen buts thats Fm. You're either lucky or unlucky. Unlucky on not getting the league but congrats on winning the JPT.

Hope to see more of this mate. Lovely to read!

That is crackling work mate, no doubt about that. Like the others said, unlucky on the FA Cup and League, but none the less, u made it up for getting to Europe and the Championship.

PS: One of your screenies showed Coefficient, can somebody tell me what that is?

Birdy, you must be the best manager ever. You've took a club from the Blue Square South to the Championship. Amazing.

I'M BACK! lol

Marwick - Just search the downloads section (either here or on other FM sites). Pretty easy to find, and nope you don't have to start a new game.

Thanks for all the support from old fans and new fans alike... now let's not finish this story now. On with an update....

New signings include...
Cogoni (Italian defender for free)
Leblanc (French keeper for free)
Cisse (French defender for free)
M'Laab (French midfielder for free)
Stephen Whyte (450k right back from Brighton)
Adam Salmon (1m defender from Southampton)
Jack Anderson (1.2m future talent from QPR)
Simon Williams (striker on loan from Liverpool)

AUGUST

Newcastle 1-1 BEDFORD
Despite all the new names, it's a fan favourite that scores a late equaliser to grab Bedford a great point.

BEDFORD 2-2 Arsenal
Williams and Salmon net the goals as Bedford get an incredible draw vs Arsenal.

Leicester 4-1 BEDFORD
Despite statistically being the better side, Bedford somehow received a Leicester thrashing. Love with a consolation goal.

SEPTEMBER

Bedford seeded for UEFA Cup 1st Round draw.... why? lol
Bedford get Austrian side Salzburg.

BEDFORD 2-0 Charlton
Bedford shock Charlton (3 wins out of 3) with their first win in the Championship. An own goal and one from M'Laab gave Bedford the win.

Bury 3-5 BEDFORD
Bedford make it two wins in a row as Love (2), Anderson and Boakye (2) net for the away side.

BEDFORD 3-1 Salzburg ----- UEFA Cup 1st Round (Live on TV)
Bedford win in Europe thanks to two goals from Boakye and one from M'Laab. Wow.

Blackpool 2-3 BEDFORD
Rayner gets a rare chance after falling down pecking order... and scores to become the new Bedford record holder for league goals! Boakye nets twice after that to give Bedford another win.

Everton 2-0 BEDFORD ----- League Cup 3rd Round
Bedford never got going and take early exit from League Cup.

I tell you what mate, you deserve a freaking medal.

Not only have you taken Bedford to the Championship but you have got them into Europe. That achievement itself deserves at least a pat on the back and a free beer.

Anyway, hard luck on losing to West Ham in the FA Cup final last season, that would've really wound me up after getting that far and falling at the last hurdle. But at least you got a consolation prize of UEFA Cup football this season.

Keep up the good work.

Haha thanks Ru. I'll hold to that beer lol

It was a bit gutting... but I'd have been a lot more gutted if we hadn't got promoted. It was a close call!

Next stop, the Premier League. And we're half way to getting to the group stage of UEFA Cup.

OCTOBER

Luton 3-4 BEDFORD
Donaldson scores a superb hat-trick on his first start of the season, and gives manager Bird his application for a starting role. Stewart scores a crucial 4th goal, before Cogoni is sent off for Bedford. Leblanc then makes a superb penalty save to give Bedford all three points.

BEDFORD 0-1 Leeds
A below par performance from Bedford ends with a narrow loss.

Just TWO days till our UEFA Cup game and we're tired and have three main players injuries. Let's hope we can hold on to that first leg lead.

Salzburg 3-1 BEDFORD ----- UEFA Cup 1st Round (TV)
A tired and weakened Bedford take the game to extra time... not what we wanted at all. Bedford legend Carl Rayner scored the crucial goal.

Then in extra time, Adam Salmon gets his second yellow card. It's really against us now.
Salzburg then net their 4th of the evening... and it's over. The dream shattered. Bird slams FA for not postponing the Leeds game lol

BEDFORD 2-2 Birmingham
A tired Bedford side are forced to play their fourth game in eight days. Anderson though manages to get a point for the home side with two goals.

BEDFORD 2-2 Huddersfield
Bedford make a fine comeback from 2-0 down to grab a point with goals coming from Beresford and Boakye.

Hull 3-2 BEDFORD
Bedford throw away a 2-0 lead with a shocking defensive performance. Goals came from Stead and Boakye.

BEDFORD 2-1 QPR
Damien Love is back and doing what he does best. as he and Boakye score the goals to get a big win over QPR.
It also has to be noted that Tom Stead (who has been enjoying a run in the centre midfield as of late) has been playing brilliantly.

In transfer news, experienced defensive midfielder Ryan Gray has joined on loan for three months from Motherwell.

BEDFORD 2-2 Everton
After trailing 2-0 after just eight minutes, Bedford turn the game around with substitutes Williams (on his return from injury) and Anderson scoring for the home side.

And here's how it all looks going into November...
