Thumbs up Havant & Waterlooville

Mark Green has been appointed the new manager of Havant & Waterlooville.
Speaking at the press conference, Green said "This is a great oppurtunity for me to show my managerial talents, I just want to do my best!"
With H&V being touted for promotion, Green faced pressure already in the transfer market.
IN
Jacques Williams - Free Transfer
Luke Nightingale - Bognor Regis 18k

After a half decent pre-season, which seen Havant defeat Worcester and Dagenham and Redbridge, Green faced his first fully competitive test.

HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE V HAYES AND YEADING
These two sides played out a thrilling 3 - 3 draw, which seen Havant & W come from 3 - 2 down at half time to snatch a point.
Scorers:
Havant & W - Leroy Griffiths (3)
Hayes and Yeading - Simon Martin, Steve Perkins (pen), Saroya

Green - " I am happy with the performance from the lads, Hayes came and played exciting football, and they are a credit to their manager, i felt a little harshly done by with the penalty decision, but that's football"
Havant face Maidenhead away from home next, while Mark Green tries to pull his strings in the transfer market.

After capturing the fan's excitement with the free transfer of 17 year old bosnian attacking mildfielder Benjamin Mulamehic, Mark Green spoke to the press.
"Unfortunately, Benjamin cannot join the squad until October, due to FIFA laws, we will wait in anticipation for his arrival"
MAIDENHEAD V HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE
A plucky Maidenhead side shocked the away faithful with a 2 - 0 victory. Havant failed to create many changes and when they did, were left to rue them.
Scorers:
Maidenhead - Leon Fisher, Darti Brown

"I am bitterly disappointed with this result, the lads were no were near up to scratch today, and i hope they will redeem themselves against Hampton & Richmond"

Despite the exciting prospect of Mulamemhic, the fans will not forget the lack of quality that Havant & Waterlooville showed.

HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE V HAMPTON & RICHMOND
Havant and Waterlooville lost again, with a 2 - 1 defeat against Hampton & Richmond. The only highlight was the debut of young goalkeeper Dale Roberts, who pulled off a string of fine saves.
Scores
H&V - Rocky Baptiste
H&R - Elliot Godfrey, Barrie Matthews

" I am upset, the players are not at fault, my tactics are to blame. I would appreciate any help i can get, and hopefully, i can turn things around soon, with a promotion push on the cards perhaps, but after three games, we find ourselves 2 places out the drop zone"

Not the dream start, can Gre turn it round?

Mark Green went for experience in his recent transfer deals, snapping up Steve Pierce and Matthew Bound on free transfers.
"Steve is a proven striker in this league, he has even had a spell in the premier league, and for nothing, he is a bargain! Matthew will bring experience and a wise mind to the back line, 2 great players in my opinion.

EASTLEIGH V HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE
Havant & Waterlooville are still searching for their first league win, and the way they played today, fans may be waiting a long time. Eastleigh completely dominated the game, scoring 5 times without a response from the away side.

"I am astounded, we looked like a team of five year olds today, amazingly, both teams had the same amount of shots, that says alot about our strikeforce!"

Havant really need to step up now.

The month's ending game seen Havant square up to Lewes at home.

HAVANT & W 0 LEWES 0
"The lads played okay today, but we are not firing on all cylinders up front, infact, not any in my opinion! We have to pull our finger out now, and start climbing this table"

September Begins....
Havant went into September bottom of the pile, and still seeking their first three points under Mark Gre.

Saint Albans 1 - 0 Havant
Sutton Utd 1 - 1 Havant
Havant 0 - 2 Weston Super Mare
Basingstoke 2 - 2 Havant
Havant 0 - 1 Newport
