I took over Rangers with not much experience on the game and my personal aims for the season where:

- Win SPL
- Win CSI Cup
- Win Scottish Cup
- Get through to the knockout stage of the Champions League.

I was given 2million to spend in the transfer market, i signed 3players who i thought would improve the squad and also ones for the future. 3players also left the club, 2 went on loan to my feeder club Livingston and the other was sold.

The season started against B.Jerusalem in the Second Qualfying Round Of The Champions League.

B.Jerusalem V Rangers

Overall i was quite happy with the result and performance, 2 away goals is always vitial in these type of games.

Game 1 of the SPL was away to Inverness.

Inverness V Rangers

It was a great performance and a excellent result in what could of been a tricky game. I am very pleased how well Stancu is doing.

Great thread so far mate, just it would be easier to post the screenshots on the actual page, rather than having to follow the link through!

If you wanna know how to do this, follow these steps:

1) Go to FM screen you want to take the picture of
2) Press ALt + F9 on this page. This will save this to:

Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Screenshots
3) Go to Imageshack
4) Click browse to find the pic you want from the above file directory
5) Once file is selected, click upload
6) A few links will come up, and you want to copy the link for forums (1)
7) Open a post as you usually do, and paste the link into your post. It will then appear in your thread, rather than people having to follow links without knowing scores etc
8) Hit the thanks button at the bottom right of my post

Update...

Next game was the 2nd game against B.Jerusalem's. I expected to win.



Not a great performance but im through to the next round of the Champions League.

Next was the league game against St Mirren at Ibrox. I expected a comfortable win.



Super Nacho, brought on as sub and he done the buisness. Top of the SPL already. :)

I got draw against Zaglebie Lubin in the 3rd qualfying round of the Champions League. I did not know what to expect.



We hammerd them, could of scored 5 or 6 but it was not to be.

Next up was Falkirk at home in the SPL, they had just beating Celtic 1-0 so they where in good spirit.



Terrible performance, crap result. Full credit to Falkirk though,they where superb.

Not a great set of results, but still 3rd in the SPL.

( I got draw away to Queen Of The South in the 3rd round of the CIS Cup. )

Last update tonight...

Tricky away game to Kilmarnock was next, this game also seen the debut of Alan Gow and Kirk Broadfoot.



What a fantastic result and performance, young Gow was fantastic on his debut certainly one for the future.

Next was the second leg of the 3rd Qualifying Round of the Champions League against Zaglebie Lubin.



Very tough games against Lubin, done well to get through the 120minutes. Good to progress to the group stages though.

The draw for the Group Stage was made today and here is my group...

Real Madrid - Spain
Roma - Italy
Rangers - Scotland
Salzburg - Austria

Very hard group there but im confident we can progress. Also, the injury to Brahim Hemdani means he will be out for 3weeks, Novo out for 2weeks, Boyd was only out for 2days.

That draw could be better in CL, but Roma are one of the better 2nd seed teams for you to get, GL!

Cheers lads. Yeah when i seen i was 3rd seeded i new i was going to get a hard group.

Next few games are against... Gretna, Hearts, Roma, 3 big games.
