I see. But it is going to be some what harder for them this year. imo, cause I read something about Lyon on yahoo sports.

Okay onto my game. Played Lorient beat them 1-0, played Le Mans beat them 2-0, played Sedan in Coupe de la Ligue beat them 3-2, Marsielle and Paris games drew them both, beat Nantes and Bastia 1-0, played Reims in Coupe de la Ligue selected wrong people lost 1-0, drew with Sochaux and Sedan, beat Lens 3-0, and lost 1-0 to Rennes and St. Etienne.

Adding all the points from these and the other games. Lyon is currently in 4th with 28, 5th place Lens 3 pts back. Lille has 22 but only played 14 games while everyone somewhat played 16 or 17 games. 3rd place Loreint 29 pts. 2nd place Nice 31 with 15 games played. And Paris with 35 pts.

Picture updates will be posted after the Winter Transfer window has closed February 1st 2009.

humm seems like you need to boost your striking force as you aint winning my much, also boost the defence as you are conceding and losing to many which shouldnt happen as you are the best in the league hehe. i sugguest going to the tactics part of the forum and using the goals goal goals tactic by YNWA ;)

General Update

As you can see I signed Ricardinho from Valencia because I needed a good midfield playmaker on the cheap side. He was bought for 2.3 million. Also I released Capaca because he suffered a severe injury and was out for like the entire season so. Also I think Odemwingie is a BUST... So far he only scored 2 goals compared to Long 12 and Baros 10. Odemwingie has been injured 3 times this season and been out for about 3 months adding the time he has missed due to injury.

Ok I listened to what you said oO_SioS_Oo i went and downloaded the goals tactic. And well it helped beating low tier teams. But I can't somewhat beat the mid tier teams.

Played Auxerre and drew with them, Lost to Nice 1-0, Beat Monaco 1-0 in 9th round of Coupe de la Ligue, beat Chateauroux 3-0, lost to Bordeux 1-0, beat Toulouse twice 3-1 and 4-1, beat Troyes 3-2, Lost to Sochaux 1-3 and Lille 1-2.

I think this is just going to be what it has been since I have been managing here in Lyon. If I get sacked this thread is probably not going to be updated anymore.

As you can see by the table. Lyon finished below 4th for the 3rd time in my managing career there. Lyon always has something go wrong for them during the last couple of days. I had 2 GK injured and had to fill in with a my GK from the reserves. Just having bad luck at the close of the season.

Onto transfer news, Milan Baros is being sold to Middlesbrough ($11 Million) and Gael Givet is going to Udinese ($7 Million). I also bought 3 players from Monaco which played in Ligue 2 totaling $13.25 M and Foti from Sampdoria for $6.75 M. And also brought in N'Daw from Sochaux on free transfer. The 3 players I bought from Monaco are Malaury Martin, Serge Gakpe, and Charles-Andre Doudin.

Serge Gakpe, and Charles-Andre Doudin are quite nice buys but not super, still needs boosting a bit m8i!

Yeah I still have the game but I'm just getting tired of losing and not finishing up to par... What I meant from my earlier post is that I would create a Lyon game on FM08 or start a new game with a different team..
