Hamburg 3:1 Hannover Absolutely gutted at the Uefa Cup Final. Penalties as well :@ And missing out on a CL place as well :@ FUCKING ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH! Rafael van der Vaart won German Player of the Year award. Hamburg U-19's win title for 3rd year in a row. Table:  Overall, a season which would have been brilliant turned horrible after my PC restarting and now I'm left with no CL again, and a losers medal in the UC Final. |

Rafael van der Vaart moves to FC Barcelona for an initial £20million then £22.5million after 24 months.
Giovani dos Santos brought in as replacement. 20-year-old Mexican cost £18.5m. |

HSV have stalled on a deal worth £4.5million* for Jose Paulo Guerrero. The Peruvian forward has fell out of favour at the German giants, and with Stuttgart's Aaron Hunt on the top of HSV's shortlist, it looks likely that he'll be leaving AOL-Arena.
*Everton offer £525,000 up front then £4million over 24 months with 40% next sale clause. |

The window slammed shut and because of VfB Stuttgart's greed (they wanted 21.5m for Hunt) I didn't get my man. Guerrero didnt move either. However, I did capture versatile Edgar Barreto (DM, MC, AMRC) for a fee of £5m from Empoli. He's 25 and from Paraguay. DFB Cup:  That win produced three new records... 1. Win was biggest in Hamburg's history. 2. Win was biggest in DFB Cup history. 3. 4 goals scored by Fleck is most by one player in HSV's history and DFB's history. The oldest player that day was captain Piotr Trochowski aged 25. The youngest being Jakub Pawlowski aged 16, who bagged a brace. Also, with the exception of Zuiverloon and Costil (rated 9 and 8) the entire team that day were rated 10/10.
