i started out trying to do challenge 2 (ie. gain promotion without signing any new players). after my first friendly, i decided to change to option 1!!! i was soundly beaten by aston villa's reserves, 6-0...i signed a new assistant manager, and left him in charge of the rest of my friendlies, most of which ended in defeat. my first league match was away at moor green, a match i was expected to win easily. however this was not the case, and i scrapped a draw thanks to an owngoal with 15 mins left on the clock! oh well, things can only better!!!

things haven't good much better....in my next five games in charge...i managed four draws and one lose...even though i was odds-on favourites wo win each match....i decided to change my tactics from 4-1-4-1, to 4-1-3-2, and i managed to win my first match of the season, a solid 3-2 victory over blyth. hopefully now my season will get better, and aim for the auto-promotion
