BREAKING NEWS
Jones resigns as Cardiff manager
Manager Dave Jones has resigned as Cardiff City manager, 2 months after seeing his team lose in the F.A Cup final. The 51 year old manager from Liverpool has spoken to us exclusively about this decision.
"I thought that my three years here have gone very successfully, but I really should have brought Premier League football to Cardiff by now."
"The F.A Cup final was tough to take, because the squad had thrown the league away by then, so it all relyed on the last game which was the final. We thought we had a good chance, and some of us expected to win. Portsmouth were the Premier League team and to be honest it showed.
"I think that I haven't done enough to carry on managing the team. I wish the new manager, the club and all the fans luck."
City chairman Peter Ridsdale was suprised at the call
"Dave was a great manager for the football club. Premier League football looked so likely under him, and now we have to find a new manager."
"He knows what to do, he had a great control over his life and the team. I wish him well in the future and for his next job"
Popular bookmakers firm Bet365 has put Ryan Giggs as favourite to be the next manager. The 36 year old Manchester United winger has been linked with a move back to his home country in the past.
1/12 Ryan Giggs
4/1 Lennie Lawrence
8/1 Kevin Bond
12/1 Kevin Keegan
18/1 Aidy Boothroyd
26/1 Carl Dale
Good Luck with this good start so far. keep it up.

Yes, yes. Now then, young Mr Bluebird. So this is it, is it? This is the great masterpiece that will overhaul the previous one you were in the middle of?
Well, it better be good, that's all I can say.
So what division are you starting in this time? You said you didn't want to cheat, and with Sam Hamman no longer the Chairman, you've got every chance!
Be interesting to see who the manager is. No point putting Giggs in charge, he'll only turn up for half the matches
Good luck

Giggs rules himself out of City job
Ryan Giggs yesterday announced that he will not be taking the manager's job at Cardiff City, as he still has a few years left playing for Manchester United.
"I'm still a Man United player, and will honour my contract before thinking about coaching."
"When I am finished playing, I would like to go into managing, but I'm not mentally ready yet"
"Maybe I will go to Cardiff to finish my career off, but that's way ahead in the future"
In other news, Cardiff have had a "6-figure sum" bid for Daniel Fox rejected by Coventry City.
I really thought Giggs would be going to Cardiff, but I guess they will have to settle for some of the other managers wanting the job, oh well.
Good going mate, KIU.
Wayne Rooney is too good

So who's the new manager going to be? One of the Cardiff legends, perhaps. Phil Dwyer, Peter Rodrigues or maybe Leighton Philips?

Lawrence signs new 3 year deal with Bristol Rovers
Lennie Lawrence yesterday penned a new 3 year deal as Director of Football at Bristol Rovers, ending speculation that he may be going to Cardiff City.
In an interview with Yahoo! Sport, Lawrence, former manager at City, said that he doesn't want to go into managing for a while.
"I've sat in the crazy chair of managment, and although it's a great job, I just don't think I am mentally ready at the moment."
"City was a great place to be. The team were great, even if the facilities were a bit bad. Yes, we didn't have much money, well no money at all to be honest, but we managed to play consistently, and I have to thank the club for a great few years I spent there."
He also spoke about Dave Jones' departure, and who he would like to see take the job.
"David done a great job there. He almost won the FA Cup, and was top of the table one season for a while. He had the team in shape, and I hope the team doesn't lose that shape."
"I would personally like to see a big name manager go there, but they might find it hard to attract that sort of manager. I think Steve Coppell would work wonders there, but you see Kevin Bond linked with the job because he is a good type of manager. Either would go down well with me"
