It was raining and thundering outside and my grandchildren were board, so i thought hard what we could do, i said sit down kids, i will tell you the story of my managerial career, and my life and love for football. My Grandchildren were both Aston Villa fans stepping in my footsteps, and of course i trained with the Aston Villa Squad before which was a life time acheivement. I started by telling them, how i worked hard for my badges. This is how i put it.

I started off by going to the FA Headquarters, in London and i filled in my application form. I wanted to manage in the F.A. Barclays Premiership. So i had to get my first-aid badge, which was easy to get. Well thats what i thought, but it was hard, espically helping to cure a broken leg, or a little child whos nose wouldent stop bleeding, anyway i went into the room, and i was TOLD mr scarpellini,
YOU HAVE PASSED,
so i was a qualifed Physio, here the copy of the first aid badge,

Now i had to go for my physical and my Finance Badges, which i worried about, but passed with ease. Now i had to go into a dark room and answer sevral questions like whats the offside rule is, etc.

The kids then asked if they could have a drink, so i made them a nice cold orange squash, while i made my self a nice hot cup of tea.

Now where was i.... oh yes, they then decided to take me into a private room, and then they told me if i had passed, AND GOOD NEWS I HAD PASSED I WAS A FREE AGENT and avaliable to be snapped up by any club in England, now you know kids that i support villa, well sadly i dident get that job, and there were no current jobs avaliable. Next thing i did was Ring my Parents.

i remember running to my house only down the room, and there was a massive party all my family,freinds where there and to top it all i was almost my Birthday, what a magical Birthday Present.
A few days later, and felt like an old man, i went to the shops to by my Grandad, a news paper, which had the main sports headlines on the back......

Now i remember going to the filling it in, and i was told to go for an interview has i had never managed before.

3 days had passed and suddenly i got a phone call, it was from Derby County, telling me to come to pride park. I go there as fast as i could, in my car and i couldent believe my eyes, there was the chairmen, and a contract, a 2 year contract, which i signed, it was Offical i was the manager of Derby County FC.

Heres Conformation

I remeber phoning me parents, to tell them i had got the Job and they were over-the-moon, as were my friends, i was the Derby manager, what a dream. Now they had only just won promotion, via the play-offs so i know it was going to be hard. And after sevral meetings with the players, staff and chairmen, i began work in July. I was giving £10.85 Million to spend, which aint bad, i could hopefully attact some quality players. I already had the likes of Laurent Robert,Robbie Savage etc.

So after scouting, players and looking at there reports i made my first signing

Thats right, Croatian international Josip Simunic has joined Derby on a 4 year deal,
He was happy at the prospect of playing Premiership Football. And he said i was the reason he joined, because he liked change.

Also Arsenal has signed Adrian Mutu or 31 million.

After making my first summer signing, what happened then children.

I signed another player, a young 19 year old called Alex Fernandez, on a free transfer.

Also i snapped up Staurt Taylor from Aston Villafor £3 million Pounds.

Anyway, with the new season appoching pretty fast, i had to chnage around my team and figure out who was playing where.

A poor start for me, as Derby Boss,

Derby 4-2 Celtic

A better result there

Leicester City 2-1 Derby

Shelourne 1-3 Derby

Burton Albion 0-3 Derby

Derby 3-0 Gilingham

So a mixed Pre-Season,

now my first premiership game was against West Ham, at home

Derby County vs West Ham United 3:00 Kick-Off Tickets Are Now Sold Out

good news was that all the tickets were sold out.
so my first game in charge and it would be a full house.

Anyway, i completed all my Transfers

Matias Almeyda - Free
Josip Simunic - 3.9 Million - Hertha BSC
Alex Fernandez - Free
Rene Mihelic - £300k Maribors
Rolan Gusev- £3.1 Million- Dnipro
Staurt Taylor - £3 Million - Aston Villa

So i have made some decent signings,

and kids i was 500-1 to win the premiership, so thats unlikly and i to be honest my main focus is to stay up.

Hmm, I can see you're really trying here Adam, and hopefully you can improve, but at the moment I'm not sure.

Make sure you check it before you post, whether that means checking it yourself, or pasting it into Word and using a spell checker or whatever I don't know.

Also check the sentences because a lot of them are a bit jumbled up and therefore don't make much sense or are hard to read.

The main things to focus on when writing a story is to not rush it, take your time, check it, make it interesting, and make it unique by adding something that is disimilar to any other story out there.

Try to keep it reallistic as well, a lot of the time you sound like you're talking to yourself.

With the media source, the Jewell pic is too stretched, always drag from the corners and if it looks fuzzy or distorted then choose another pic. Remember to crop your taskbar and everything out as well, and just keep what you actually need of the source.

Nevertheless, if you keep going, and focus, you could make this into a decent story.

Good luck with Derby but Adam, the story doesnt actually make sense. You're saying you trained with Aston Villa squad when you were younger, so I take it you were manager or physio? Then you woke up with your grand children asleep and u looked at the website and saw that Derby County is "managerless" so you applied. You must be in your 50s when you applied, what happened to the previous 20-30 years mate? Young and Talented...from what you described it sounded like you were a grandfather when you became manager so I dunno about the young bit...So then you were back to explaining to the kids about your Derby career but you just became Derby manager if you get what I mean? It has to be a bit more clearer, but keep on trying Adam.

Leave Adam alone, he's getting better, but they have a point, its like a real grandad story, every little detail is covered lol. Plus you have gotten stuck between two formats. The "current game" format and the "story" format. try to pick one or the other if you know what I mean.
