This time, without my wife and my job. A week ago, Roger Morrison, chairman of the Blue Toon, sacked me for sleeping with his wife and the club secretary Kate. As a result of this, Laura left me and took the dog with her. She decided to go back to England to live with her parents for the time being. My life is falling apart, I need a new job in football – and fast. Kate Morrison - Irresistable When I arrived back in Chester I drove around looking for a suitable hotel to spend the night in. I eventually decided on the Holiday Inn, not too expensive and not too shabby. There were rooms available so I only had to wait an hour or 2 to get my key and go up to my room. Once I got into my room I took my laptop from my case and turned on the internet in search for available jobs in football. A lot of teams came up. Surely I had done enough at Peterhead to get one of those jobs, I got them to the play-off finals only to be defeated on penalties. I ruled out a move back to Scotland but I would love to manage a club in Germany or Northern Ireland. I applied for the Burghausen, Unterhacing, H & W Welders and QUB jobs in the hope that at least 1 of the clubs would want me at the helm. | | | | | 18-04-08, 12:27 PM | #2 (permalink) | | FMF Writer and V.I.P Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Norwich Posts: 2,099 Thanks: 592 Thanked 453 Times in 429 Posts | Nice one Wozza. Good luck getting a job and I didn't realise you were that saucy. The chairman's wife and the secretary. I'll have to start calling you Sven. Anyway, I've worked at Burghausen before and really enjoyed it. Good luck. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to liveru For This Useful Post: | | 18-04-08, 12:33 PM | #3 (permalink) | | FMF's Comeback King Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Knaresborough Posts: 2,828 Thanks: 749 Thanked 255 Times in 205 Posts | Nice start Wozza, and great idea if I do say so myself Also I did a nice job on making that woman didnt i? How were you connected to a wireless port in the hotel though? Target 1: Don't give up with this, and keep it to your best work, the last few have been a bit shabby for you're liking Target 2: Apply for some more jobs, preferably some higher ones. Even though its easier, it still makes an interesting game and read! I am basing my grade on what you have done so far, with the belief it will get better!!! B | My Crazy Season - Click My Sig! I looked at my phone and saw that I had 3 missed calls. I checked the source of the calls, they were all from the same person, and I didn’t recognise the number. Just as I was about to call them back I received a call from that same number. I answered the call… “Hello, I am a representative of Engelbert Kupka” the man said in a German accent. “Engelbert who?” “Englebert Kupka, the chairman of Spielvereinigung Unterhaching. He is interested in securing your services as manager of the club.” “Are we going to do this over the phone or should we meet up?” “We have a flight booked for you for tomorrow so it would be easier if we did it now.” “Ok then, how much money are we talking about here?” “1,800 English Pounds a week and you will have 69k to spend on new players and the wage budget will be 45.5k per week.” “Sounds great. When do I start!?” We continued to discuss the travel arrangements and where to go once I arrived in the country. Again, just like how I got my Peterhead job, it just happened really suddenly. This time within just a few minutes I was managing a football team in Germany. The rest of the day zoomed by as I sorted everything out, had breakfast, packed my belongings, went on the internet and booked my self into a hotel for the night by John Lennon airport. Target 1: Keep going with this one and try and progress it Target 2: Make sure you dont go down that road, keep it as unique and interesting as possible, and if you need any ideas I'm in the room next to you B- | My Crazy Season - Click My Sig!
