As previously stated, I am going to allow the computer control the team meaning the computer will pick the team. I will report on the team from a Directors view. I will decide if we should sell any players or buy. I am hoping not to have to buy any players as I have intentionally given FMF a big squad. Also we have decent group of youngsters too. I am aware some of your ages are not correct, this was done intentionally cause if I had a full team of mostly 16 –17 years old, well we would be bullied in every match. Hopefully I have the rest of your stats correct, apologies if any are not … anyway this was not meant to be a database that was meant to be released, it was just about some fun. If anybody has any suggestions, please do, as all ideas regarding the reporting will be considered. Also I would like to thank everybody who posted their details and a special thanks to Fed for helping with his ideas. Club Director John Harcourt stated it was a momentous occasion for this newly formed club. Harcourt said “FMF has been a dream in the pipeline for a long time and with the financial backing I received from many local business men, we have been able to meet the criteria set out by the FA to be granted our license to play in this great league” Harcourt also added that he feels the club have the ability to really challenge for the Championship and move the club in to league football. I totally turned down this inquiry after speaking to first team manager Barry Blanky. Barry also inquired if there was any money available to buy new players. I told him his will have to make do with the current squad he has. Mind you I feel this crop of players should be good enough for this league. Sunday 6th July I set down today with the agents of two of our players currently out of contract. Alan R was going to be easy, it was only his father. After a brief chat with Alan R father, we quickly came to the agreement that FMF was the best club to harness the potential in his young son. His father said he will sign professional contracts with the club first thing Monday morning. Fedorico was a different kettle of fish altogether, this young kid was a talented player and he knew it and so did hi agent Mr Valsky. This Mr Valsky wore a smart suit and had negotiated a lot of deals for up and coming youngsters. The first thing Mr Valsky said to me was that a club called FC Dukla were interested in taking Fedorico. I ask you, who would want to play for a club called FC Dukla. I asked Mr Valsky what he was looking for, it was a reasonable request and I duly agreed. Mr Valsky said he would have Fedorico sign early next week, I insisted he signs now and rolled own the office window looking down onto the training pitch sanctioned Fedorico to the office. Fedorico signed and went back to training and before Mr Valsky left I asked him to forward me the details of this club FC Dukla, I might make a few quid out of this kid I thought to myself. Anyway we have a match against Gloucester this evening, this will be the first chance to see the team in action Friendly match FMF – Gloucester City HT 1-1 FT 1-1 Att 109 Scorers Welch (31) Gloucester Scholesy18 (36) FMF Match Review A measly 109 people turned up for tonight’s match, personally I was hoping for more. Manager Barry Blanky said he was happy with the team’s performance. He particularly said that Scholesy28, Axillo, abeatty2209 and club captain Ru played well. If you ask me I as expecting the team to win well and I aint that over the moon. Monday 7th July Received a message today saying Alan R father had turned down the deal put on the table for his son. I was really annoyed and decided to ring his father, “Mr R you gave your word that Alan would sign a contract today”. Mr R told me that he was talking to Mr Valsky and had heard how much Fedorico had received. “Look Mr R I will give Alan an extra €50 per week, that’s it, if you think you can find better, go find it” Alan signed a contract that day, when I next see that Valsky, he will get a kick up the ass from me ! | League Champions 1951/52, 1954/55, 1955/56, 1989/90, 1995/96, 1996/98, 1998/99, 2001/02 Runners-Up 1960/61, 1987/88 F.A.I. I asked Blanky how much will he cost, Blanky told me we could get him on a free ……. I said I would make a phone call. We have a game against Northwood tomorrow, I told Blanky the lads better start performing! Thursday 10th July Friendly match Northwood - FMF HT 1-0 FT 2-2 Att 81 Scorers Hogan (15), Bray (72) Northwood Woodsy (57) Alan R (76) FMF Match Review Another abysmal performance form the lads, I mean a 250 KM round trip for this. Blanky said he was happy with the performance and stressed he took this opportunity to bleed a few of the youngsters in to the first team. I needed a big team to come down to the Shoutbox and play a match to attract the crowds, I said I would give my old pal Alan Curbishley a ring, Curbs said he would send down a second team as the first team had commitments. I was delighted, on the coach home I told Blanky to prepare the lads …….. the Hammers were coming to town Saturday 21st July Received a call today from MK Dons asking about the availability of John10, I told John10 aint going now were. Also received a call today from my pal Curbs, he said he was sending down players like Zamora, Etherington and Richard Wright. I thought to myself that this will be a great experience for the lads Monday 23rd July Friendly match FMF – West Ham Reserves HT 0-1 FT 0-2 Att 112 Scorers Etherington (42), Zamora (55) WHR Match Review A decent result by all standards and a fairly competitive match, Axillo suffered an injury but it does not look that serious. Blanky reported that the lads seem to be building up a good level of match fitness and overall he was happy with how things are going. I also had a word with Bobby Zamora as he left, “hey Zamora, you aint going to get much football this season at the Hammers, fancy a loan move down here” I asked him …… his response was emphatic … “Piss off” ! Friday 27th July Received the latest odds for this seasons BSP ……. Didn’t find it amusing let me tell you We were priced at 40/1 and were considered more likely relegation candidates ! Saturday 28th July Friendly match Quorn – FMF HT 1-0 FT 2-2 Att 99 Scorers Smith (26), Coleman (51) Quorn Alan R (60) Jarvis (74) FMF Match Review Another bore draw and too be honest we were fortunate, Alan R goal as a mile offside. I spoke with Blanky after the game “Blanky how come you aint giving some of the young lads like TH, Barousa and Dafudge a start”. He told me he picks the team and he decides who starts, I am only the gut who pays the wages and decides who gets sacked I thought to myself. Monday 30th July Received a fax today from several clubs inquiring about Bfc-fan, the most notably Oxford. I told all the interested party’s that he wasn’t for sale. I will keep this offer to myself; don’t want Bfc- fan thinking he is too big for the club and looking for an improved contract! End of month Report Financially it has been a dreadful month for the club, we are - €41k. On the pitch things haven’t been much better although Barry Blanky seems happy enough. I suppose on a bright note, we secured contract signings of our best youngster Alan R and also secured the signature of Federico. Looking forward, we have one more pre-season friendly and then the real football begins Wednesday 1st August. Friendly match Canvey Island – FMF HT 0-1 FT 1-1 Att 208 Scorers McCormick (59) Canvey Hartynips (41) FMF Match Review Barry Blanky decided to play a few players in different positions and for the 4th time put Schmidy and Hartynips up front together. I have been questioning if both of these players could play with each other up front but it seamed to have paid of today with Hartynips scoring for the first time for FMF. The two of them still leave some convincing though. Once again we drew but all things considered, it wasn’t a bad result. Saturday week we are away to Crawly and I hope to start seeing some results Saturday 11th August. Blue Square Premiership Crawley – FMF HT 1-0 FT 1-1 Att 1415 Scorers Dubois (21) Crawley Hartynips (60pen) FMF Match Review FMF manager Barry Blanky seamed to make Ru the fall guy for the abysmal pre-season FMF had by making Federico captain for FMF first competitive match. In a tight affair Crawley took a one the lead when Dubois deflected shot of Ru into the back of the net. The match stayed 1-0 to Crawley until the hour mark when Hartynips slotted home a penalty after Schmidy was taken down in the box. Over all a pleasing result considering Crawley was 1/3 favourites to win the match. Also that day the ticket office informed me we managed to sell 245 season tickets, to be honest it was 244 more than I thought we would sell. Next match is against York and I am hoping for a big gate against the league favourites. I told Blanky I want a performance out of the team too. Tuesday 14th August. Blue Square Premiership FMF– York HT 1-3 FT 0-1 Att 1382 Scorers Farrell (37) Wroe (48) Sodje (59) Crawley John10 (72) FMF Match Review Starting to question if this Blanky guy knows what he is doing, he makes Ru captain for today’s match, I can only assume that was a kick in the rocks for Fedorico. Anyway the result was dreadful, we were well beaten. We were 3 down before John10 came of the bench and scored a header from a corner. At least we had a good gate Next match is away to Weymouth …… I aint expecting much of a result to be honest! August 16th International call up I got a fax today from a Mr Slavin Bilic requesting the services of a certain Mr Fedorico for international duty for Croatia. I had to look twice, I mean the kid had been part of the under 21 set-up but now had got his first call up to international football. This was a huge honour for the club. I personally told Fed that he had been called up, the kid was ecstatic, he kept thanking me and even though I did nothing I was happy to accept. I told him to start performing on the pitch and he could maybe even get a game. Got to kep the best interests of FMF at heart Saturday 18th August. Blue Square Premiership Weymouth – FMF HT 1-1 FT 2-3 Att 1490 Scorers Beavon (32) Crittenden (60) Weymouth Schmidy (24) Hartynips (57, 74) FMF Match Review Well stone me, what a result. The boys came good to day, Blanky told me that abeatty2209, Rimza and Schmidy had great games but he left special praise for Hartynips saying he was the difference in the match. On the coach TH and Axillo were singing “whos that scoring in the box, is it a Monster, no its Hartynips” Tuesday 22nd August International round up Fedorico failed to make into the match day squad Saturday 25th August. Blue Square Premiership FMF - Oxford HT 0-2 FT 2-3 Att 1489 Scorers McAllister (2,5) Richards (90) Weymouth T.H (84) abeatty (90) FMF Match Review Well too be honest we were well beaten in this game too but I though for 30 seconds T.H and abeatty had snatched a draw from the claws of defeat We were 2 down in 5 minutes, Bfc tried a back pass an messed up then club captain Ru does the same. If I was Blanky I would have taken both off. So there we were 2 down with 6 minutes to go and the young kid T.H scores a 30 yard screamer, I didn’t even realise he could kick the ball that far. Then in injury time up pops abeatty to flick a header past the on rushing goalkeeper. I was thinking a point was fantastic considering how bad we played ……….. Just after I had finished my thought bang … we go and concede another goal Well we got what we deserved too be honest. | League Champions 1951/52, 1954/55, 1955/56, 1989/90, 1995/96, 1996/98, 1998/99, 2001/02 Runners-Up 1960/61, 1987/88 F.A.I.
