The story behind the player. prelude: well guys here is my story it is the autobiography as my made up player on FM. he has my name, my favoured clubs, disliked clubs etc. the only thing that isnt mine is the D.O.B as i made him 4 years younger. I will take control of the clubs my player moves to, except i will name the manager with the same information as the real manager in charge on my FM game. thanks and enjoy! Well i was delighted to have followed in the footsteps of my elder brother Mario Mand˛ukić and i Joined his former team NK Zagreb. the manager Miroslav Bla˛ević signed me up on a youth deal not long before my 16th birthday after his scouts spotted me playing for my school team in the Zagreb schools challenge cup final, in which i scored 3 goals! I was delighted to have joined one of the top teams in croatia and i was despearatly hoping i would succeed at the 12000 capacity Stadion Kranjčevićeva. I signed a youth contract worth £5 a week until 30.6.2010. The first training session Of course i was intimidated by the stars we had in the team at my first session. but instead of training with the u19 team as i expected i was given the chance to train with the full-time stars such as Croatia U21 starlet Damir Dzidic. the training match I was given the chance to shine in a 30 minute training match it was the U19 team v the Senior team. i was playing upfront for the U19's. I managed to score a magnificent freekick from just outside the area for the U19 team, it beat Dragan Stojkic, the first choice keeper, with ease, i was very pleased to be part of the team. meeting with the manager After training i had a meeting with the manager. He told me these words i will never forget, " You have a chance to make yourself into a world number one player, you will be one of the greatest croatian players of all time, use these next few years at NK Zagreb as a stepping stone if you wish as you will almost certainly be wanted from the European elite clubs in a few years. Although you are young you will feature in some part this season for our club. I was stunned, i knew i had potential and i could do what the manager had said, but i was now under a lot of pressure, and was worried, would i be able to make my dream a reality?? My Profile My Personal Information My Potential. | | | | 13-04-08, 03:03 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Blackpool FC Supporter and 19th Member on the Site Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Blackpool Posts: 1,194 Thanks: 73 Thanked 97 Times in 75 Posts | different but intresting, i look forward to read more | | | | 13-04-08, 03:04 PM | #3 (permalink) | | vBookie Team, Member of the Ozza Family Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Cheshire Posts: 2,227 Thanks: 534 Thanked 327 Times in 268 Posts | Good idea Fed :D It's great so far too. Brkjaka corner, goes straight to Kartelo who heads home! 1-0 HT 2nd half: 74 mins: Goal!! Cutura plays it to the left back Djolonga who is in the Dinaburg area, he shoots first time and scores on his debut!! Full time: Zagreb 2 - 0 Dinaburg I decided to go to the stadium for Zagreb's Intertoto clash with Latvian side Dinaburg. it was a very good experience for me. it was a very tight clash all the way through the game, i was impressed by how well we kept the ball though, and we limited the Latvian team to only a few shots on our goal. 30th June. The 2nd Leg. I had the opportunity to fly out with the squad for the 2nd leg in Latvia and watch the game in the stadium, however i decided to stay home and watch it on TV instead, thinking that we would win with ease. Dinaburg (0)-(2) NK Zagreb squad line-up: GK:Stojkic, DR:Saric, DL:Djolonga, DC:Dzidic, DC:Naderavic, DM:Kartelo, CM:Ibricic, CM:Parlov AML:Cutura, AMR: Simic, ST:Lovrek. 1st half: 00:58: Goal! Ibricic passes it to Lovrek who is 20 yards from goal, he turjns and shoots with power! it ends up in the top corner, what a start for Zagreb! 29 mins:Goal! Simic comes short for a corner, he crosses for Ibricic who is outside the area, Ibricic's shot deflects back out to Simic who cuts inside into the area and powers the ball past the Dinaburg keeper! 43 mins: goal! long ball upfield by Polakovs, Dzidic completely misses his header to clear the ball and it falls to Danilovs who finishes it past Stojkic with ease. 45 mins: Goal! Parlov plays a great through ball to Lovrek who beats the offside trap before placing it past Polakovs to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Half time Dinaburg 1(1) - (5)3 NK Zagreb SUBS: Dzidic off, Labudovic on. 2nd Half: 48 mins: Kopca plays in a high ball to Danilovs who heads home to get his 2nd goal. 63 mins: Ivanovs sent off for a foul on Djolonga, he gets his 2nd red-card. Fulltime Dinaburg 2(2) - (5)3 NK Zagreb Well after watching this ont TV i can tell you it was a poor game, DInaburg had the majority of possesion and it was boring to watch. I hope we dont always play like this. | | | | 17-04-08, 11:34 AM | #11 (permalink) | | What Bozza can do with an orange, I can do with a grape! Liek you said, you're more than likely included in your gaffer's plans. Also congrats on progression in Europe. I'm actually surprised that you progressed on away goals as I thought you could've easily made it through by a clear margin.
