Manager John Harcourt has accepted the post at one time great team Odense Boldklub.

Harcourt had been on the lookout for a position since his dreadful spell came to an end at English club Derby County.

A lot of pundits have described this move to Denmark as Harcourt putting his backside in the bacon slicer with most agreeing this is one job so far to rejuvenate his lagging managerial career

Club chairman Kim Brink has stated he want OB to be challenging for the Danish championship by the end of two years

Looking at my team, the first thing I need to do is get a few decent midfielders. Also a priority will be a decent back up goalkeeper.

I have stressed to the board I hope to secure European qualification through the league

An easy win for manager John Harcourt in his match in charge of OB. Manger Harcourt said after the match, “it was a good opportunity to see how the lads here would adapt to the style of play I want to implement here. From my first viewing it was mostly impressive”

Tuesday 3rd July Breaking News

OB have signed young and upcoming keeper Polish keeper Piotr Czaplinski. Manager John Harcourt said he was absolutely delighted to bring in this talented goalkeeper.

looked at some of ur players and they look good, odense are a team i like in real life ( don't know y :P maybe coz they played over here in ireland in an ufea cup game against shelbourne and looked good :P)

OB can feel a little aggrieved not to win this game, manager John Harcourt said he wasn’t too disappointed though, “the object of these games is to see the players in action and try a few different things, overall our performance was good”

Monday 9th July Breaking News

OB announce the dual sighing of both promising youngsters Fredrick Nordback and Liviu Ganea.

Nordback came from non league side Orebo and said “I am absolutely delighted to be given this chance to play at the highest level of Danish Football” and Ganea who was signed from D Bucharest for €325 expressed his gratitude to both the club and manager for making this move possible.

Sunday 15th July Danish Super Cup

OB v Kobenhaven

2 – 2 (pen 3-2)

OB today sent out a message to Kobenhaven that they are serious league contenders this year

Manager John Harcourt said he was delighted with the score today but was most impressed by his team’s performance. We were far the better team and should have won the game in 90 minutes but in the end this performance sends out a message to the league contenders that we mean business this year

I don't know that much about Danish football but what I do know is that Kobenhavn is one of the best teams in the country. So to beat them, albeit on penalties, is a great achievement. Plus I believe it's your first trophy. Congrats mate.

Thursday 19th July Euro Cup 1st Qual, Rnd 1st Leg

Suduvu (LTU) v OB

0 – 1

OB recorded a good away result in the Euro Cup. Manager Harcourt said he expected a win and the players delivered. He also added the importance of keeping a clean sheet and praised his defence.

Sunday 22nd July Danish Premier League

OB v Randers

1 – 1

Their was much expectation by the fans and they expected a win. OB were slack and lack luster and manager Harcourt said it may have been as a result of playing an European game a few days earlier.

Wednesday 25th July Danish Premier League

Lyngby v OB

0 – 0

Not a bad result for OB although Lyngby may feel a little aggrieved to not have taken all 3 points. Both teams had chances but Lyngby finished the strongest and may have sneaked this match

Saturday 28th July Danish Premier League

Kobenhaven v OB

4 – 2

OB fourth match in 9 days seamed a step too far today as they were outclassed and out played by Danish champions Kobenhaven. Manager Harcourt had no arguments after the game but said he was looking for an instant response from his team

OB hit the form manager John Harcourt has been demanding off his team. After this stroll in the park, Harcourt said he expects his team to kick off from here.

OB first league win of the season was greeted with huge relief today and the fans were appreciative of the clubs performance. New player Ganea said he feels as though the new players are starting to settle in to the club and hopes the team will kick on from here
