TH and me have come up with an idea which will reward people for their great stories. We will stick 3 of the best stories of the month and leave them up for a calendar month. We have chosen a month as the amount of time to leave them on so that everyone gets a chance to read them and maybe write there own before the next stories are on. THIS MONTHS TOP STORIES (April) Bozza's story about a small club in Reykjavik called Fjolnir, who are known for their big Piggy Bank on the front of their shirt. Bozza has put loads of effort into making it great and it deserves some praise. TH's crazy story is set in a Sky Sports News style. He made himself manger of EVERY team, yeah you heard me right, every team. He spends hours on the story, he plays every match and does a detailed update after every incident. Fomaham has taken over as Blackpool and quickly showed off his story writing skills. With the traditional News way of doing it, he has impressed so far. So there you have it, that's the first month done. Those 3 threads will be stuck ready for you to take a look at.

great idea guys, hopefully we'll see plenty of people starting new stories and sticking with them as this would be great for the writer to have there story stickied :)

Meh, pretty pointless in my opinion...probably only my point of view as i hate reading peoples stories as i find them boring :/ |

But surely its an added incentive to carry on writing well and keeping your story updated if you can make it into SOTM for the upcoming month too.
Players and managers can retain Player and Manager of the Month awards for keeping up their hard work.
Most of the stories on FMF barely last a month, so shouldn't the ones that do last get rewarded? |

I totally agree with Tom.
It might give writers incentive to carry on writing if they have the chance to be nominated another month. Maybe state that they can't be nominated two months in a row to give new stories a chance but I believe that stories should be allowed to be nominated more than the once. |

Totally agree with it.Giving that possibility not only encourages ppl to keep writing but also to keep their stories quality.And moreover,if someone comes up with a top idea and sticks to it why only award it once?If someone else wants the award then he should come with a better idea.I think it's simple and logical. |

Exactly simple as.
The top 3 stories should be nominated, regardless of whether they have been nominated before.
Most stories dont even last a month, so its an extra achievement to make it last for an extended period of time. |
