THE MATCH

The Blue Toon won earlier on today against top of the table Airdrie United! Before this match they hadn't even conceded a goal all season but we put 5 past them! The score was 5-1! Our goalscorers were Rory McAllister with 2 goals, Callum MacDonald, Marino Keith and Matin Bavidge all got 1 each. It was a magnificent performance from the boys in blue and it moved us up to 6th in the table.

MATCH EVENTS
Red = Airdrie Utd Player
Blue = Peterhead Player

30' Stephen McKenna
30' Stephen McKenna Bryan Prunty
41' Rory McAllister 1-0
45' Donnie Munro Andy Bagshaw
46' Bobby Mann
pen 59' Callum MacDonald 2-0
60' Bobby Donnelly James Sharp
64' Rory McAllister 3-0
72' Bobby Mann Martyn Campbell
pen 76' Marino Keith 4-0
76' Kevin McDonald
76' Graeme Holmes
76' Dennis Soutar
76' Paul Sheerin Darren Smith
78' Steven McKeown 4-1
84' Marino Keith Martin Bavidge
89' Martin Bavidge 5-1
90' Steven McDougall
92' Jamie Buchan

Those 2 goals from Rory McAllister put him joint top of the goalscoring charts. He is also top of the average rating charts with 8.00. Andy Bagshaw and Iain Good both have 2 assists and Martyn Campbell has 1 assist despite only playing 20 minutes for us.

So as you can see we are now out of the relegation zone. Here are our next 5 fixtures.

As you can see, next we face Martyn Campbell's former club Ayr United. We are also still in the cup and we face St.Johnstone!

I've done nothing wrong this season too cause i've only managed 2 games and ive got 4 points from them (all of our points cause the last manager was crap) :oP

26th August 2007

I woke up at 12 o'clock which was a nice change, my wife was still asleep so i went downstairs and made myself a bowl of weetabix. I opened up my laptop and checked my e-mails, i had a message from Roger Morrison the chairman asking me if i've enjoyed my time at Peterhead so far and if i like the house and car and asked me if there was anything he could do for me. I replied by saying everything is great, i love it here, i love the car and i love the house. Can you please maybe look into the possibility of getting the club another feeder club and a parent club as it would benefeit the club in many ways. He e-mailed back half an hour later saying that it's a fantastic idea and he wondered why he hadn't thought of it himself, he said he would do his best to do what has been asked of him.

Buchanhaven Hearts -
Blue Toons current feeder club

I also had an email from Tony Pulis saying that Russell Hoult is now unavailable for transfer thus the bid has been rejected which was a bit of a blow.

Even more of a blow was that Darius Charles' agent rung me up 5 minutes later and said that he would have no intention of going on loan to us until the end of the season.

Another blow, Ricky Waddell chose Cowdenbeath over us which was somewhat of a shock to me as we are, financially and in the table in a better position than Cowdenbeath. But that's football.

Waddell -
Chose Cowdenbeath
over Peterhead

I took the rest of the day to chill with Laura and go to the pub with some of the board members at the club to watch Man Utd v Blackburn.

27th August 2007

I woke up at 8:30 today and went on my laptop as i knew it was time to check the Irn Bru Scottish Division 2 Team Of The Week. To my surprise there was 5 players of ours in the team! Iain Good, Callum MacDonald, Dean Robertson, Marion Keith and Rory McAllister. This is great publicity for the lads. As i got ready for to leave for training i got a phone call from someone from the national football magazine FourFourTwo, they asked me if they could interview the 5 players who got in the team of the week after training. He said that he was already on his way to the training ground so i gave him the thumbs up providing the players wanted to do it.

I arrived at traning and told the 5 lads involved and they were over the moon at the opportunity to raise there profiles. In training those 5 players seemed out of sorts and they played poorly because of this interview. For the second half of training i took these lads to one side and told David to put them through intensive and tiring training to teach them a lesson. I told them that if they don't do it then they won't play for this club again, they are supposed to be semi proffesional footballers, it's only an interview. If they listen to me they will have more than an interview with a magazine!

The other lads loved this and they just did some light set piece training for the remainder of the session.

'The Famous Five'

The feller from FourFourTwo, Richard Cook, arrived right after training and took the 'famous five' which is a nickname that the rest of the players jokingly gave them, into my office.

SCOTTISH FOOTBALL
Black - R - Reporter
Green - G - Good
Red - MacD - MacDonald
Orange - DR - Robertson
Blue - McA - McAllister
Pink - K - Keith

I'm here with 5 of the 11 players that were named in the Scottish division 2 team of the week, all of them are from Peterhead. Iain Good, Callum MacDonald, Dean Robertson, Marino Keith and Rory McAllister.

R: Hello guys, we are 4 games into the season and you are 6th in the league. It's all turned around since Daniel Worrall took over, what has he changed at the club?

K: Daniel is a great guy, he came to this club and didn't disrupt the mood at the club.

DR: Yeah, he's changed the style of play gradually in training, i've never liked the long ball method but Wozza has changed my opinion of it and it's really working here, particularly for Iain.

G: Yes, i've got 2 assists in 2 games thanks to the change to the style of football.

R: The facilities here seem very decent for a club in this division, what's your opinion on them?

McA: The facilities are great, i'm only on loan here from Inverness so obviously the facilities are better at Inverness but i love it here. There's more a family feeling at the club.

K: Yeah, i love it here and i've played for some big clubs over the days like Plymouth. I don't know what makes it unique here, maybe the scenery helps it's in the countryside and it's quite comfy and small.

R: I almost forgot, congratulations on being in the Irn Bru Scottish Division 2 Team of the week. Has the manager treated you any different because of this?

MacD: Thanks, and no, not at all. Us 5 had a bit of a drumming from Wozza actually for bragging about the award and he put us in our place.

R: What did he do? Did he fine you?

G: No he didn't and stop trying to make us reveal something we shouldn't. He punished us in a fair way so that no arguments were caused.

R: Rory, you've been in fantastic form this season. Do you feel it will be down to you to reach the expectations that the board want from this club.

McA: No! You can't win anything with 1 player, it's a team effort. All of the lads at the club will contribute this season and we will all get rewarded. Everyone is treated equal here, that's 1 thing Daniel emphasizes and practices.

R: That'll be all for now, congratulation on the award and good luck for the rest of the season.
