He was born in Liverpool and lived with his Mum, Dad, brother and 2 sisters until his Father left when he was 6. He lived in St Helens until he was 1 and a half and he then moved to Lisbon, Portugal and lived there for a year. They moved back to England to live in St.Helens for a further 2 years, and when he was 4 he moved to China for a year because of his Dad's work. After that he moved to the small village of Elton near Ellesmere Port. He lived in that same house with his family until he was 18 when he moved to Chester with his girlfriend. His mother was a Wolves fan, and his father was a Liverpool fan so he was forced to support Liverpool in his first few years of life. But as he got older he grew a hate for Liverpool and everything associated with it and decided to support Wolves. A few years after his dad left, his mum met a bloke from Warrington who supported Manchester City, Daniel grew an instant like for Gary and they still have a good friendship to this day. Daniel always wanted to be a footballer or a cricketer, but he realised he wasn't good enough at either of the sports so ended up getting his coaching badges at the age of 20 and getting a job in a supermarket to pay the bills. After taking his local side to the league title and winning the cup with them, he was approached by Vauxhall Motors, the side he used to play for when he was 8. This was a massive opportunity for Daniel as he had the chance to make a name for himself. He was at Vauxhall for 2 years and he did nothing great there. He had a fairly average spell at the Ellesemere Port side and was eventually sacked. He then lost all love with the game, until he was sitting down watching television and he received a call from Peterhead asking him if he wanted the job. The players performance immediately picked up as they saw that a spectator was there. After training Carles Betancort, the spanish scout came into my office and accepted the contract i offered him and gave me a list of a few names i might want to look at with a thorough report on each of them. He thanked me for his time and asked me if there was anything i wanted from him. I asked him if he could scout the Scottish 3rd Division for talent for me and he happily accepted. In about an hour i have an interview with Matt Cowie, from the official Peterhead website. I went on the website to see what it was like and i ended up spending a good 45 minutes on there, i made an account so i could go undercover on the forums and see what the fans wanted. There seemed to be a large section of the fans on it that were very dissapointed that i was at this club, but there was a small section that wanted to see what i could do and were delighted with saturdays result. I was looking at the lates football news and saw that the team of the week had been announced for our league, Division 2. We had 2 players in thel ine-up, Andy Bagshaw and Jamie Buchan. I rung the players up and congratulated them which they thought was a nice gesture. Reporter: Matt Cowie Matt: Black Worrall: Orange Matt: Hello Daniel, we have a few questions from our fans here. The first question is from Harry Stockdale in Glasgow: Where do you think we can finish this season? Worrall: To be honest with you i'm only looking for survival this season, we can build the squad from there. Roger (chairman) has promised to give me time to mould the side into the way i want it and i am grateful for that. Matt: Have you got any players in mind that you want to buy, and if so can you tell us there names? From Julie Cameron in Peterhead. Worrall: There are many players i am looking to bring in which i'm sure you'll be pleased to know about and i will reveal the names of a couple of players that i've offered contacts to, there's Onandi Lowe and Martyn Campbell. Matt: Do you think we can, realistically be challenging for the title within a few years? from Jeffrey Davies from Aberdeen Worrall: This is football, anything is possible. With a bit of luck we will be up there in a couple of years. But if we don't survive this season then it could be a whole different story. Matt: Do you think we can get anythink from saturday's game against Airdrie? Connor McLoughlin from Peterhead. Worrall: Looking at our display last match against Queen's Park it seems we can get something from it. Coming to this lcub i thought we were going to have a bunch of awful players, but it turns out all they needed was a kick up the backside and we got our first point of the season. Matt: Thanks for your time Daniel, i hope this won't be the last time you speak to us. Goodbye and good luck! Well... that went well, didn't it? I hope the fans won't think i'm expecting too much of the players. Expectations are surprisingly high here and it doesn't help that we are against top of the league next time out. | | | | 16-03-08, 04:58 PM | #48 (permalink) | | Important First Team Player Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Birmingham Posts: 822 Thanks: 78 Thanked 133 Times in 113 Posts Nominated 1 Time in 1 Post TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Another good update mate, GL against top of the league tough game that'll be | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to scholesy18 For This Useful Post: | | 16-03-08, 05:17 PM | #49 (permalink) | | Scout For FMF's DB Update Join Date: May 2007 Location: Scotland Not Britain Posts: 573 Thanks: 33 Thanked 114 Times in 103 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | superb update mate very unique ideas gone into this :D kutgw | SigMe'ConMe | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Dargo17 For This Useful Post: | | 16-03-08, 05:35 PM | #50 (permalink) | | FMF Graphics Crew Founder & Winner of the First Ever GOTM! Russell Hoult from Stoke who is transfer listed and young left back Darius Charles from Brentford who is loan listed. If i could get the 2 players then defensively it would be a real boost and to have a player like Russell Hoult who has a wealth of experience could only boost the players morale. 17:00 The game finished 1-0 to Stoke reserves which obviously meant that Hoult got a clean sheet, and he had alot to do aswell but he stuck to it and did his job. Charles did well for Brentford and didn't put a foot wrong all game, he really would boost our side if we could get him on loan until the end of the season. After the game i rung Stoke manager Tony Pulis and placed a bid of 8k for Russell Hoult and i spoke to the Brentford boss, Andy Scott, who was present at the game about the possibility of getting Darius Charles on loan until the end of the season and he said he would need to time to think about it. Russell Hoult Darius Charles I arrived back at the training ground at 9 and was greeted by my Assistant Manager who gave me the report on everything they did in training in my absence. Again, Rory McAllister was the most impressive player which was no surprise if i'm honest and i will need to rely on him to get me the goals in future. Tomorrow it will be a fairly normal day, with training and a meeting with Airdrie Utd's Ricky Wadells agent about the contract details for the player. | | | | 20-03-08, 04:55 PM | #52 (permalink) | | What Fed can do with a grape, I can't do with a beach ball! Just a few years ago he was playing in the SPL with Dundee and he is vital to The Blue Toon if they are to get somewhere this season. Jamie Buchan This 30 year old defender has also played in the SPL, with Dundee Utd and Aberdeen, he has much more experience in that division than Bobby Mann. He is a solid centre back but can play in the centre of midfield if needs be. Donnie Munro Donnie Munro is a fairly experienced midfielder who has quickly established himself in the first team since his arrival from Buckie Thistle. Marino Keith Marino Keith is a very well known player having been a regular for teams like Plymouth Argyle and Falkirk. The 32 year old is known for scoring goals no matter where he is but there is a sense of the fans not accepting him as he started his career at fierce rivals Fraserburgh.
