Alex is a 30 year old manager, from Liverpool, England. He also has a second nationality of Indian as this is where his father was born. Taking over at Dagenham and Redbridge was a tough choice for him, as he has been a life long Liverpool fan, and has never thought of having anything to do with any other club. The very inexperienced manager has never been in professional football before, and has only really played football at the sunday league level, where he was forced to stop playing after a horrific injury after a tackle by an opposition player. Alex broke his knee, and coulnd't afford a proper operation to fix it. But all this inspired him to become more involved in the game, and eventually take up managing. He is due to take over on the 1st July 2007, and, although the fans are still unsure about this appointment, Alex cannot wait! Last edited by Seth7724; 08-03-08 at 01:11 PM. | natural (adj.) His first signing was one that pleased the crowds. Alex Fernandez Alex Fernandez looks ready for the new season The youngster was signed on a free from Coslada FC, and looks like he could be the finisher that Dag and Red have needed! The next signing was one from Alex's favourite team Nabil El Zhar (Loan) Nabil on a night out, will he be enjoying himself while attacking the Dag&Red wing? The young Morrocan international has showed skill and pace on the wing for Liverpool's reserves, this is a chance to show he can make it in a first team An unexpected signing came next Liam Trotter (Loan) You should look happy Liam, your future is bright! The Ipswich midfielder was facing a season in the reserves before the bid from Dag and Red came in. He is looking to prove himself in hope of getting back in the first team at the Tractor Boys next season. A desperate need for a goalie was then fixed. David Martin (Loan) Cheer up David, you just signed for Dag&Red! The former England u19 goalie has been on loan to a few teams ove rthe last few season, and he is hoping he can stay the full season at Dag and red and help them battle relegation. There was then a chance for a Parent club to be picked by Alex Seth. His options were Gillingham or Chelsea, needless to say, he took Chelsea. Adrian Pettigrew (Loan) Petti is one of 2 signings from Chelsea The central defender is expected to be backup for the first team at dag and red, but will be hoping to force his way in eventually After another chelsea reserve, Per Weirauch, decided he was "too good" for Dag and Red, Alex Seth set his sights on another Chelsea reserve player Sam Hutchinson (Loan) The young man is rated highly in Seth's books The young chelsea rightback has played for the England u19's in the past, and will be looking to get some good first team experience in, to further his career With his squad now full, Seth's season was due to start. Predicted 22nd in the league and given 40-1 to win the league. Dag and Red don't look likely for promotion this season. Selecting Anwar Uddin as captain with Lee Goodwin selected Vice Captain, The seaon ahead looked promising. Friendlies Dag&Red 2 - 1 Doncaster Farsley 0 - 6 Dag&Red Harrogate 4 - 5 Dag&Red Witton 1 - 4 Dag&Red Dag&Red 4 - 3 Halifax Last edited by Seth7724; 08-03-08 at 04:09 PM. | natural (adj.) Surprisingly, new signing Alex Fernandez has scored four goals, 2 of them coming from fantastic freekicks Fixtures Dag&Red 2 - 0 Morcambe (A) Great result to start the season Dag&Red 1 - 3 Charlton (H) After extra time Charlton overcome the strong Dag&Red in the carling cup first round Dag&Red 1 - 4 Bradford (A) A poor performance from Dag&Red saw Bradford breeze past them Dag&Red 4 - 3 Darlington (H) A last second goal and a hattrik from Chris Moore, see's Dag&Red pick up the points in this close encounter Dag&Red 3 - 2 Peterborough (H) A close game saw Dag&Red pick up the points once more Dag&Red 3 - 3 Luton (H) A close encounter in the JPT saw Dag&Red knocked out on penalties! Dag&Red 3 - 1 Lincoln (A) Lincoln took the lead and looked strong, but once the first went in the rest flew past Dag&Red 1 - 0 Brentford (H) A strong performance from goalie Dave Martin saw Dag&Red pick up the points here, a scrappy game, but they all count Dag&Red 5 - 1 Rotheram (A) A superb result saw a stunning goal from left winger Hall, and Fernandez getting two. Top Scorers Chris Moore - 5 Shabazz Baidoo - 4 Alex Fernandez - 4 Top Assists Sam Hutchinson - 3 Ben Strevens - 3 Nabil El Zhar - 3 Managers pick's so far Player - This has got to go to Nabil El Zhar, a confident performance in several game so far, flying up and down the wings. Without him, we would have no width! Result - Despite losing I loved the Charlton game, we held them until the 115 minute, and it took 3 wonder strikes from long range to beat us. Great performance from the lads! Dag&Red Have done superbly well so far, and despite being a favourite for relegation, currently find themselevs 3 points clear at the top going into October. The attacking midfielder has really boosted the team and helped us stay in top spot. Result - The 4-3 win over Barnet was my pick. The players were determined for the whole game, but it showed the class of Shabazz. He grabbed a hattrik, and the eventual winner. Great performance. Review: The last 2 months for the Daggers has been tough, but they are still top, although it is only on goal difference. They were expected a relegation battle at the start, but are stuck in a promotion battle at the moment. Top quality. The one big loss though, has been Sam Hutchinson, who has finished his loan spell. The right back was solid at the back, and provided great supply when storming forward. Let's hope he will re-sign once the window is open again. | natural (adj.) Definitions a.
