It is tough to play with this team. The quality of the squad is really limited and I'm still having problems working with patch 8.0.2. Playing the matches on full match mode can be a long ride from time to time. But hey, I'll keep going and trying to figure out what the best gameplan is for this team! | | | | | 15-03-08, 08:36 PM | #25 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Grimsby Posts: 149 Thanks: 31 Thanked 18 Times in 18 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Bless those season tickets Bozza :D | | | | | 15-03-08, 08:40 PM | #26 (permalink) | | Banned Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Knaresborough Posts: 500 Thanks: 945 Thanked 356 Times in 281 Posts Nominated 11 Times in 3 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 1 | Lmfao I cant read. After a less than decent friendly period, I was scared that the first cup match would turn into a disaster against HK, who has media prediction 8th. Now that the match is over, I can say that it was an amazing match and enjoyed every minute of it. 15-8 shots against 1-0 for HK is just fantastic and means my tactic worked out. I had troubles finding the best suitable tactic for Fjölnir but I think I can work with the one I used against this team. Two things I'm not happy about are the ball possession and passes completed. HK had 59% ball possession over the entire match and since my tactic isn't totally counter-attack based, this is way too high for the opponent to have. The reason why they had so much possession is because the percentage of passes completed was only 58% on my side. This is ridiculously low and unacceptable. That's something we'll have to work on in the future! Breiðablik 4 : 1 Stjarnan Fylkir 3 : 0 Fjarðabyggð Valur 2 : 2 FH Fjölnir goalkeeper Þórður Ingasonis a transfer target for Valur. Valur boss Willum Þór Þórsson would not disclose if or when he would be making his move for the player however. Fjölnir face HK in Islandsmót 1. clash. Fjölnir: 5-4 (Fav) - Draw: 11-5 - HK: 7-4 Newly-promoted Fjölnir's home advantage gives them the edge in what should be a close encounter against HK, according to Sky Bet. Dominant win for Fjölnir. In what had been billed as a close encounter, HK were trounced 4-0 by Fjölnir at Fjölnisvöllur. A prominent HK supporter was effusive in his praise for the victors after the match, acclaiming them as worthy winners. The positive points is that, even though Stjarnan was a slight favourite for this match, we dominated the game with 56% ball possession, 72% passes completed and 10-5 shots vs. 4-2 for Stjarnan. But only the result counts and only one point was just not enough for this match. A big error by M. Einarsson, who played the ball back to his keeper while there was a striker between him and the goalie, gave Stjarnan their only chance in the entire match. So even thought we played a good match, I hoped for more than one point. A compliment to the entire team for fighting till the final minutes and scoring a goal in the 86' minute. Next match is against Valur, one of the two title challengers for this season. FH 1 : 0 Fylkir Fjarðabyggð 0 : 0 Breiðablik HK 2 : 2 Valur Fjölnir face Stjarnan in Islandsmót 1. clash. Stjarnan: 6-4 (Fav) - Draw: 2-1 - Fjölnir: 13-8 Fjölnir go into this away game with every chance of walking away with something against slight favourites Stjarnan, according to Sky Bet. Fjölnir miss chance to win. Fjölnir fans will have been frustrated by their side's 1-1 draw with Stjarnan at Stjörnuvöllur. The game ended all square despite Fjölnir being by far the dominant force throughout the match. Board Confidence Update. To summarise, the board are satisfied with your management of the team. Despite the positives, the fans are unhappy at Fjölnir's 0 - 2 Friendly defeat against Haukar. The club recorded a loss of € 9,52K last month. Physio report on Tómas Leifsson. Leifsson is suffering from a virus and will be out for between 2 weeks and 3 weeks. Leifsson has been send home to fully recover from his illness.
