Post My Challenge As A Dnipro Manager
hi im adam scarpellini and i have put my fave team game on fm 2008 aston villa to one side to be ukraine club Dnipro Dripropetsrovsk. they last one the league in 1999 and im looking to win this season along with some silverware. alos im looking to beat the best side in this league Dimino Kiev who ahve played manchester united in champions league before. enjoy!





Dnipro have offered english manager Adam Scarpellini the chance to to manage the club. Adam is said to be happy to join Dnipro as he has never managed outside of england (on fm 2008) we interviewed adam and he said "im very happy to be here and im looking for a long and succsesiful time here and hopefully win some trophies. Adam 1st task was naming a captain an vice-capatain. Where he choose Dnipropetrosk as captain, vice is Shelaev. Adam is told Ionut Mazilu is a great player for the club.





Adam Scarpellini has 3 Million pounds to spend on new players.
Adam is also told the midfield needs improving, and that Dnipro is expected to finish 3rd and to enter the Uefa Cup.




Adam Scarpellini has succesfully signed Gabriel Torje for £950k.
the deal will go through on January 25th 2008.

Joe hart and Jari Jarisik and Alex Dyer all said no to Dnipro
hart said he dident want to move to a side he haddent heard of.
dyer is young and said he couldent move from Barnsley at this time.

Oleg Venglinkskyi is a former Dnipro player signed back by Adam, and he had this to say " Im very pleased to be part of the Dnipro team and i hope i will enjoy working under new manager Adam Scarpellini.

After all this is was time to start the new 2007/2008 Ukraine league, this legue starts in July 2007,

the 1st game of the season was unfortunaly away, it was a great game as many players mad ethere debuts. The final score was

Naftovyk-Ukrnasta 0-1 Dnipro
a brillaint result, after the game Adam said" im very pleased to have won today as i felt soem presure to start my job well toda, i think the lads played brilliantly all day and we won!"

other results in July
Dnipro 2-2 Karpaty
Metalurg Zp 3-2 Dnipro

so an ok month in all 3 games gone out of the 30 needed to play a season.

Other news is Shelaev enters record books for 191 apprences for Dnipro
adam said he is very pleased that his side have managed this
on the last day of July the Kubok Ukrainny drew was made. (the cup is like our carling cup) Bukovyna vs Dnipro is the drew we got so lets hope we can win.

anyway i completed my 1st month in charge of Dnirpo and now im in 2nd month in charge. This is what happend.


Adam scarpellini has successfully signed Spanish Star Alex Fernandez for free, alex is said to be pleased to join up with villa and impress his new manager.

also Dnipro draw Hachen in 2nd qualifying round of Uefa Cup.
We spoke to adam who said he hopes his side can make it into the Uefa Cup this season. He also spoke about a new training programme hes using called Tug Traning.

Other news and i doesnt matter to adam and Dnipro, but Manchester United have beaten Chelsea 1-0 through wayne rooneys goal in the Commintuity Shield Final.





the resuts for Dnipro this month

League: Dnipro 0-0 Chrornmorets
adam was unhappy his side won because a goal they scored was ruled offside which replays showed it was the wrong decison. also adam had one of his players sent off.

Cup: Bukovyna 1-2 Dnipro
Dnipro lose goal earlier but come back stongly with alex fernandez bagging a goal on his debut.

Uefa Cup: Dnipro 4-1 Hachen
a brilliant result for Dnipro where alex fernandez scores again.

League: Dnipro 3-1 FC Kharkiv

So a long month over for Adam and his team, we caught up with him adn he had this to say, im quite happy with me side that we doing brillaintly in the cup competions. and i wish we could be doing better in the league but these things happen i guess we have things to improve upon.
