i was very impressed with Scott Golbourne bagging two goals on his debut, it was a good effort from the squad but birmingham got one over on us. I am still pleased with the performance, we can only get better.

I am pleased that the gaffer is happy with my performance, i think it was an amazing start to my derby career hopefully i will keep this up and get a few more.

Derby comeplete the signing of young Polish International Gzregorz Bartczak from polish team Zaglebie Lubin. Derby manager James Leach said he wanted to bolster up his defence and with this signing shows he is certainly concerned about the derby defence.

Thank you, i think it was a good enough performance by the lad, he's finding it hard to talk much english at the moment but our defence looks stronger as the scoreline shows, just a shame we haven't performed this good in the Premiership.

Derby County sell 35 year old Marc Edworthy for £130,000
Leach previously stated that he was having a clear out on some players to make the team stronger and faster.

30th August

James Leach just spent the most he has done so far in the transfer window breaking the bank with an estimated 3.4million pound signing.

I have been looking at Josip for quite a while now, he has great potential and i think he will be a key player in our derby team.

31st August

Derby County Manager has sold 3 players today;

Mitchell Hanson - Hull - £120,000
Jason Beardesly - Bradford - £50,000

Leach was looking for a complete change in this squad and judging by this transfer window thats what he's doing.

MONTH REVIEW

It wasn't the best of starts for my managerial career but with these new signings we should be able to get better. I'm still looking for my first win at the club in the premiership and i am hoping to get at least one next month. The board have full faith in my ability to do Derby good and i thank them for trusting me.
