But this seems like a good time to start writing again. I'm currently sitting in my office at home in Redditch. Yes, i no longer live in Ellesmere Port , i have a job. A job in Football management, no i'm not manager of Manchester United or Liverpool. I'm manager of Redditch United, a small semi-professional club near Birmingham, i've been in charge of the Reds for about 2 and a half years now and i've been promoted from the Blue Square North into the Blue Square Premier. It took me 2 years to get promotionto this league. In my first season i came 2nd, which meant i was in the play-offs, this isn't bad considering i was expected to come bottom of the league. In the play offs i lost in the final against Boston Utd. In my next season i won the league easily thanks to having Adam McGurk on loan, he got an outstanding 41 goals in 41 matches! I won the league by 24 points. This season i've been less lucky than that, i'm currently in the relegation zone of this league, but i've hit a bit of form and look to be moving up. I'm renowned for speaking my mind and having a fiery temper, and this shos looking at the amount of time i've been warned, fined and had a touchline ban. But i'm trying to improve that side of my managent. The press havn't helped at all by spurring me on and encouraging me to say these bad things about officials and fellow managers. However, there is one member of the press whom i have become great friends with, this is Sky Sports reporter, Tom Hooper, he has kept me going when times have been tough, for example when my mother died last year. He also helps me on the pitch, knowing some tactics and players that work well for my team. Anyway, enough about Football, it seems to be taking over my life. My sister Amy is expecting a child soon and Dad is coping with life without Mum. Daniel Worrall. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to WozzaWolves For This Useful Post: | | 14-02-08, 12:47 PM | #2 (permalink) | | FMF DB Update Scout & FMF Police Chief Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Knaresborough Posts: 2,721 Thanks: 710 Thanked 234 Times in 193 Posts | Great start mate, and thanks for the mention!!!!!! Welcome back to Blue Square Premier Review, we have Redditch boss Daniel Worrall here who is with his new signing Jon Boardman who has been signed from bottom club St. Albans. The defender has been off form this season but thinks the move will revive his career. Jon Boardman R:First of all, Daniel, what do you think Jon will bring to the club? W: As you know, we have struggled defensively this season and i think Jon will bring exactly what we've been missing to our defence. R: Jon, why did you make this move? B: I feel this is the right time to further my career, things weren't going for me at St.Albans and i was unhappy, that reflected on my performance. When Redditch came in with a bid for me i jumped at the opportunity. R: Daniel, on to your season so far, you are out of the relegation zone now, do you think you can start to climb the table as we come into the second half of the season? W: Our objective was to avoid relegation so i'm happy with where we are at the moment but i think if we play to our full potential we can easily climb the league! R: Okay, thanks for talking to us. We hope you come back on the show to talk to us again. Next on Blue Square Premier Review, we will be looking at Stevenage Borough's season so far. Stay Tuned. Dear Diary, I had my first interview today, with Setanta Sports unveiling my new signing Jon Boardman from St.Albans, it was pretty nerve racking but as the interview went on i started to get into it. I hope to have some more interviews in the future! We are currently 19th today and we play Crawley tomorrow who are 4 places above us! I can't wait! Daniel Worrall. The red going to Zoltan Stieber. Leigh Downing got the goal for the reds, but they couldn't grab the equaliser. Kevin Sandwith has a fractured arm and will be out for 3 weeks - 1 month. Daniel Worrall believes Sandwith will be a great loss but Aaron Cresswell can step up to the job of replacing the left-back. Redditch v Crawley. Redditch are back into the relegation zone after their 2-1 defeat but experts are backing Worrall's men to survive. Redditch have a real test on their hands as they face Kettering Town in their next match. Dear Diary, we lost 2-1 against Crawley, i'm happy with the performance from my players but we will need to take our chances if we are to climb the table! Our disciplinary record is poor too, 7 yellow cards and 1 red in that match! Zoltan Stieber, Jon Boardman and Kevin Sandwith all out, the first 2 with suspensions, Kevin is injured. In training Neil Lloyd looks to be doing the minimum amount of work, he has already complained to the press about his lack of first team football, cheeky bugger! Jamie Smith Worrall is obviously keen to bolster his midfield by offering 19 year old Nuneaton winger, Liam Shephered a contract. He can play on the left side or the right but the former York player prefers playing on the left. Liam Shepherd (white shirt) Dear Diary, 2 more players could be on there way to Valley stadium! Liam Shepherd from Nuneaton and Jamie Smith, on loan from Crystal Palace. Next i'm against Kettering. Daniel Worrall. | | | | 15-02-08, 12:24 PM | #20 (permalink) | | FMF DB Update Scout & FMF Police Chief Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Knaresborough Posts: 2,721 Thanks: 710 Thanked 234 Times in 193 Posts | Keep it up mate, nice approach with the fan's view!!!!!
