" Redditch beaten by last minute goal " Torquay hosted Redditch yesterday and came out as winners at Plainmoor. Elliot Benyon got the first goal for Torquay in the 16th minute, Benyon latched on to Lee Phillip's through ball and finshed cooly. In the 53rd minute, Peter Till was brought down in the area and the referee gave a penalty. Till didn't get up though, he had to be taken off. Good news though, N'Diaye stepped up and tucked it away. Redditch dominated until the 89th minute when Joey Waterhouse converted an Elliot Benyon cross. Redditch deserved all 3 points and will definately feel hard done by. And to make it worse, Till will be out of action for around a month. Leigh Downing picked up an injury this morning and will be out for around the same amount of time. "We deserved all 3 points today. How unlucky can we be?! We completely outplayed them but lacked that cutting edge upfront. Good signs though." said Worrall. Redditch face Oxford away next which will be a massive test for Worrall's men.  Elliot BenyonDear Diary, how unlucky were we!? We completely outplayed Torquay and deserved to win by 2 or 3. i am very disappointed in you wozza how can you say its only football when im risking my life out here, waking up at 7am on saturdays to watch a match, and being the only person who thinks it is the best sport oh and you better not lose to a last minute goal again  good luck! |

' Reds well beaten by Oxford ' Report from Matthew Dickinson. Redditch United Players/Staff - Red Our poor form has continued as we succumbed to a 4-1 loss at Oxford. We were completely outplayed in every department and deserved to get beat by that margin. Some good news though, Nathan Delfouneso has recovered from his sprained ankle which kept him out of action for a month. Delfouneso has scored 29 in 31 so far this season and is likely to be the main threat for Redditch as we approach the last 10 games of the season.  Back from injuryOxford opened the scoring after 8 minutes through Micheal Noone's 30 yard powerblaster. We could be seeing that one for some time! Just 5 minutes later Nigerian Yemi Odubade got his tenth goal of the season after a nice run through the middle. Former Southend forward Joel Ledgister made it 3 just before the break and it stayed that way til half time. Daniel Worrall must've done something right at the break because his players came out and created a few chances and really had Oxford on the back foot. But on the break Odubade got his second of the game to make it 4-0. We never really recovered from that but we did get a consolation goal from Ryan Charles with 15 minutes remaining, and what a goal it was too! So it finished Oxford United 4-1 Redditch United. Poor performance from the reds.  Ryan CharlesDear Diary, we got hammered by Oxford United, 4-1. Embarrasing first half performance but at least we got a goal in the second half to make the scoreline look a bit less embarrasing. Nathan Delfouneso is back though.
