Hopefully this will spur our team on to perform better for the rest of the season. The home kit has kept the same general colour scheme but a new design and a new sponsor, FMFORMATION.NET have made the kit look different and better! New Redditch Home Kit The away kit has took on a new approach. Again it's the same colours of Blue, white and red but this time it has stripes and looks, in my opinion, better than before! Incase you havn't noticed, the kits are now made by the famous Nike. New Redditch Away Kit These are exciting times for all Redditch fans, and i'm sure the playing and coaching staff will also be excited and will want to play well in this new kit! The kit will be in the club shop next week and will be on this website in about 2 weeks. Dear Diary, the new kits are out! They look excellent and i hope this will be the morale boost that the lads need to make us win against Sutton Utd tomorrow! Daniel Worrall Credit to TH for the kits. Cheers mate. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to WozzaWolves For This Useful Post: | | 23-02-08, 07:07 PM | #86 (permalink) | | Important First Team Player Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Knaresborough Posts: 506 Thanks: 945 Thanked 357 Times in 282 Posts Nominated 11 Times in 3 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 1 | Wow not bad eh? The first was a closely fought game against Sutton Utd, the game was closely contested and a bit dull until the 84th minute when Sutton Utd striker Jordan Cook popped up to head home a Chris Humphrey cross. The Reds didn't have enough time to get an equaliser although they definately deserved something out of the game. The next match was away to AFC Wimbledon. Redditch opened the scoring through Carl Corts individual goal, his first for Redditch couldn't have came at a better time. Toby Davis equalised not long after the opener from Cort. Wimbledons Charlie Sheringham gave them the lead just 3 minutes after with a nicely placed shot. Then James Bailey got his first of the season for Redditch 5 minutes after the Sheringham goal. Not much happened after that and it was looking like it was going to end at 2-2 until the last minute when Sheringham latched on to a Paul Hopkins through ball and slotted it home. Jubilation for the home fans and dissapointment for the away fans. Again Redditch deserved at least a point. "I'm delighted with our performance and i've made that known to the players. If we continue to play like that then we will survive, no doubt about it! Promising signs." The Reds play Rushden soon in what is expected to be an easy win for 7th placed Rushden. Reds boss Worrall is optimistic though, he has been quoted saying 3 games losing on the trot and we will turn it around against Rushden. Many proffesionals beg to differ. Dear Diary, we've lost 3 on the trot now and next we play Rushden. A lot of people will be expecting us to lose by 3 or 4 but i think we may pull of a shock and beat these. We know we have the ability to beat them but we haven't been showing it so far. I have a sneaky feeling we will win and turn around our season! BRING ON RUSHDEN! Redditch United have beaten Rushden & Diamonds 2-1 in a game that the Reds dominated. Before the game, Rushden were odds on favourites to win the game but were overwhelmed by the strength of Daniel Worralls team. Redditch had many shots and it was even until the 43rd minute when young promising stirker Will Bown got his first goal for Redditch. Bown has been in the media spotlight recently about his poor performances but he has fought back by opening the scoring against Rushden. The second goal was just 2 minutes later, another player scoring their first goal for the club. This time it was Peter Till, Bown squared the ball towards Cort but it missed him and went out wide to Till who smashed it home without taking a touch. The half time whistle went and the home fans were going crazy during the break. One fan even got kicked out for racial abuse towards the referee Andrew Sainsbury. But that wasn't to ruin the game as the players came back out to the jubilation of the Redditch fans, and Redditch continued to press but were undone in the 87th minute by central midfielder Tom Shaw's 25 yard pile driver. Rushden couldn't get the equaliser and Redditch had their first win in 7. The fan who got kicked out was personally allowed to apologise to referee Sainsbury and he will be allowed to go to games in the future. "A magnificent result! There was some trouble at half time but that didn't distract the lads and hopefully we can build on this performance and this can be the start of our revival. We havn't moved up the league but we are still delighted." said Redditch boss Worrall. Redditch remain in 22nd, which is inside the relegation zone. But they are hoping they can continue winning and march on up the table. With Delfouneso coming back in a week or 2 it's looking good for the Reds! Dear Diary, what a result! 2-1 against seventh place. We are still 22nd but this could give us something to build on now. A Reds fan got kicked out at half time but apologised after the game. Cort got injured but Bown and Till have opened their account.
