12/07/07 BREAKING NEWS Reading have secured the signing of Robert Vittek from German side FC Nurnberg for a fee believed to be in the region of £7.5M. Vittek signs on a 4 year deal, and the Reading fans are very excited by the prospect of the signing. . PREMIERSHIP NEWS Jerome Rothen has signed a 3 year deal at Portsmouth after they agreed a fee of £10M for the French international, with PSG. Rafael Sobis has rejected a £10M move to Sunderland, because he feels it would be too tough to leave Real Betis. This comes as a shock, after Sobis was initially very positive with the prospect of joining the Premiership club. Corinthians striker Carlinhos has agreed terms at Man Utd and will join the club if he receives a work permit. United's bid of £1.1M for teenage sensation Henri Saivet has been rejected, and the striker has signed a new long term contract with Bordeaux Birmingham have been dealt double blows in their attempt to sign a new keeper. Yohann Pele has agreed a new contract with Le Mans, but is still considering the offer for Birmingham. A £6M bid for Polish keeper Artur Boruc has also been rejected. Colin Doyle has moved to Crystal Palace for £800k Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff are both interested in signing out of favour midfielder Richard Hughes from Portsmouth. Hughes is likely to be allowed to leave for an offer just short of £1M Norwich have had a £910k bid accepted for Blackburn youngster Tony Kane, who has been offered a contract. Chelsea teenager James Simmonds is hot property in the lower divisions, and Chelsea have had four 3 month loan bids from Exeter, Leyton Orient, Gillingham and Wycombe.

13/07/07 BREAKING NEWS Maxi Rodriguez has completed an £18.25M deal to Liverpool from Atletico Madrid, and the versatile midfielder has signed a 4 year contract. . PREMIERSHIP NEWS Portsmouth have completed the signing of 24 year old defensive midfielder John Makoun II from Lille for a fee of £10M. The Cameroonian signs on a 4 year deal after he secured a work permit. Matias Fernandez has agreed a contract with Bolton, and the striker will move for £9.75M if he is granted a work permit. Asamoah Gyan has agreed terms with Fulham, and will move for around £13M if he receives a work permit. Liverpool have had a third bid rejected for John Heitinga, believed to have been around £11M West Ham have had a £7.5M bid accepted for Brazilian midfielder Daniel Carvalho. Man Utd have had an improved bid of £5M accepted for teenage striker Henri Saivet, who is reportedly keen to sign for the Premiership giants, despite signing a new contract with Bordeaux. Middlesbrough have had a £6.3M bid accepted by PSV for Mexican defender Carlos Salcido. Joris Mathijsen has rejected a move to The Stadium Of Light because he feels that it would be too hard to leave Germany Sunderland have also had a £7.5M bid accepted for teenage striker Moussa Dembele from AZ Alkmaar. However, the newly promoted Premiership team have had a £7.5M bid rejected for CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love, because there are several other interested parties. CSKA have also accepted a bid from Sunderland for striker Jo, expected to be in the region of £8.25M. Monaco have negotiated a £12.2M bid with Reading for exciting young midfielder Jeremy Menez. Espanyol are interested in Arsenal teenager Nacer Barazite, who will be allowed to leave for around £200K.

14/07/07 BREAKING NEWS Exciting French forward Jimmy Briand has signed for Bolton from Stade Rennais on a 4 year deal in a deal worth £15M. . PREMIERSHIP NEWS Reading have secured the signing of Aruna Dindane from Lens for a fee of £10.75M. Dindane is excited at the prospect of playing in the Premier League and has signed a 4 year deal with The Royals. Franisco Ochoa has agreed terms with Tottenham and will complete a £16.25M move if he receives a work permit. Newcastle will also tie up a £7.5M move for Jefferson Farfan, if the Peruvian receives a work permit. Turkish striker Nihat will sign for Bolton in a £10.75M deal, if he is granted a work permit.
