 7/7/2007 'Stalybridge Appoint Worrall' Stalybridge have appointed Rookie Manager Daniel Worrall as their new manager. Chairman Rob Gorski had this to Say " I was a big fan of Worrall when he was at Frickley, i know the fans wont like him to begin with, but when they realise what he can bring to this team, they will come round " Daniel Worrall said this " I am determined to do well for this club and prove my critics wrong, i will be very active in the transfer market, and i have a few players in mind, some first team players, and some backup players. |

 'Worrall signs 4 players in 2 days!' Stalybridge boss Daniel Worrall has signed four players in the space of two days, they have all been signed for free. Worrall signed Glen Lamacraft, D/MC and Matt Childs, DC, they are both from the team that Stalybridge are to play against in their first friendly, Hitchin Town. The other recruits are Colin Carr-Lawton, ST and Prince Toku, an AML who were both free agents before they moved to Stalybridge. 'I tried to get Lamacraft when i was at Frickley, his pace is incredible and he can pass the ball without much thought. Childs is a defender who is strong in the air and leads the defence' said Worrall ' Colin and Prince will be back-up to the first team.' Worrals first match in charge will be a Pre-season friendly away to Hitchin Town, Glen Lamacraft and Matt Childs, the 2 former Hitchin players are expected to start. |

Monthly Update 'Decent Results in the 6 friendlies this month' This month Stalybridge played 6 friendlies bringing mixed results.. Hitchin Town 2 - 3 Stalybridge Celtic 15:00 Friendly Worrall's first match in charge brought a win, Stalybridges goals were scored by James Dudgeon (14) Chris Hall (56) and Matty Barlow (63)
Hitchins goals were from Danny Lamb (33) and an own goal from Stalybridges Lee Ellington (90) Stalybridge 2-2 Marine 19:30 Friendly
An even match saw this game finish as a draw, the Stalybridge goals were from Colin Carr-Lawton (66,82) and Maines goals were from Kevin Towey (69,84) Stalybridge 1-1 East Stirlingshire 19:30 Friendly
A dissapointing performance from Worralls Stalybridge side brought another draw, the Stalybridge goal was scored by Right Winger Carlos Roca (26 and East Stirlingshires goal was from Paul McBride (80) Ashton Utd 0-3 Stalybridge 19:30 Friendly
A vast improvement from the East Stirlingsshire match brought a convincing 3-0 victory, the Stalybridge goals were brought by Chris Hall (42,61) and Lee Ellington (75) Stalybridge 0-3 Oldham 19:30 Friendly
This was always going to be an almost impossible task, but Stalybridge coped well and were unlucky to concede the goals that they did, Oldhams goals were scored by Chris Taylor (13) an own goal from Mark Haran (22) and the final goal was scored by Jean Paul Kalala (25) Stalybridge 0-0 Chester 19:30 Friendly
An excellent defensive display from Stalybridge ensured a draw against a strong Chester City side, Robert Sawyers did excellently in preventing attacks from the left. Other News
