Default Montrose Football Club

Team Name: Montrose Football Club
Nickname: The Gable Endies
Nation: Scotland
Year Founded: 1879
Status: Semi Pro
Reputation: Regional
Chairman Status: Loves the Club
Favoured Personel: John Baird
Fierce Rivals: Arbroath, Forfar, Brechin
Other Rivals: None
Estimated Value: 190k
Satdium: Links Park
Stadium Capacity: 1334 All Seater

Montrose start off in the lowest tier of Scottish football with a media prediction of 8th place, in a league of 10 teams thats not so hot. The starting squad is pretty average in all honesty and it needs strengthening in key areas, my first recomendation would be a keeper, Mark Peat just doesnt cut it.

Montrose FC's first team:
GK Mark Peat
GK Stuart McKenzie
DF Jamie Buchan
DF Stuart Cumming
DF Ross Gardiner
DF Darryn Kelly
DF Kevin McGowne
DF Chris McLeod
DF Stephen Thomson
DF David Worrell
MF Stephen Black
MF Hugh Davidson
MF Keith Gibson
MF Chris Hegarty
MF John Maitland
MF Jay Stein
FW John Baird
FW Roddy Hunter
FW Phil Reid
FW Joe Savage
FW Paul Stewart

Most of these players need replacing and luckily enough I will even recomend a few players to sign and some tactics to use

GK: Ken Griffiths starts the game at Bideford but has had spells at Hereford and Torquay. Adds a bit of reliability to the team
DL: Iain Vigurs a pacy left back/wing who plays well 100% of the time. Started off at Elgin but I signed him from Inverness Caley for 1k
CM: Bob Kemper handy dutch centre mid who can be used as a first team player or rotation if you manage to get someone equally impressive. Starts the game at Ter Leede but I managed to sign him on a free in the 2008/2009 season.
CF: Bryan Scott a very fast striker with finishing and pace at 17, composure of 10 isnt terrible either! Starts the game at Arbroath, your local rivals but he still signed for 1k

Tactics: Montrose play best as a high tempo attacking team using the wingers to their full advantage, a playmaker can be useful but it depends on the style of your opponent. I tend to switch between free flowing attack and ball retention depending on who I'm playing, the weather conditions and any other number of variables.

I joined Montrose in the second season of the game so im not sure what their initial budget is but I was given 60k to play with which was nice and healthy!

Im sure I can do this more comprehensivly but its 6.58am here in Aberdeen and I'm knackered

nice little rough guide there mate, but it does need improving to be up to the same standard of the guides we already have on here. Looking forward to seeing a revised version. :)

Great rough guide.

There's not much more I can say on it as you already know you can improve and others have already told you what parts.

I look forward to seeing a revised version or a new guide in the near future.
