Aberdeen are a very inconsistent team because a few years ago they were bottom of the SPL but now they have turned that around and are the 3rd best team in Scotland. Last season they achieved a Euro Cup place, which they deserve for turning their fortunes around. The last time they won a European competition was in 1983, when they won the European Cup Winners Cup and the Super Cup. The manager was none other than Sir Alex Ferguson.

Who to Buy?

Never been Aberdeen but the squad average age is 25, so it is fairly young, so experience maybe needed to help tutor the younger players. The midfield seems secure enough but a goalscorer is needed. Due to Euro Cup duties, at least another player is needed for all positions to enable you to rotate. A recommended player is David Van Zanten, who will cost around £85k. He can play up the right side, he can play right defence, wing back and midfield. He is a very consistent performer and will be perfectly adequate as cover or first team player. Aberdeen is a very good team to pick for the inexperienced FM'ers who want a gentle game to ease them into the addictive world of FM. The Euro Cup is an added bonus which cannot be ignored when choosing a team to be in Scotland.

Very poor guide. Worst i have read on this forum infact. There is basically no info on the first team. You have never been them either, you basically don't know crap about them.

If u think that u can do better then I would like to see it. I attempted to do a guide and if its not up to your standards then tough. Either ignore it or make your own!

I have to be cruel to be kind. Why didn't you just make a guide on a club you knew something about? I actually made a Celtic guide, which i am quite proud of. Read it and see what you think. Feel free to critisise it.

I feel nothing for Aberdeen and can't be bothered to play few a seasons with them just to write up a guide on them.

needs a lot of work mate, you need to add info on the squad etc, youth prospects, some gfx would'nt go a miss either mate, layout really needs improving

and fm scotland, why not make some more guides other then your celtic guide

I think, like John, that it could do with some improvement but it's not bad at all.

van zanten is a good suggestion, but needs work with very little detail. check my aberdeen guide for 8.02 for a more in depth guide.
