I'll telly you what I've done with Thiago in my Tottenham game. I signed him for £6M from Baraca in 2008-09 season, and set him to "learn from" Tom Huddlestone and Andrey Arshavin in order to gain the following PPMs: Shoots from distance Tries killer balls often Runs with ball through centre Gets forward often Unfortunately, he refused to learn from either of them or anyone else I had with those PPMs. I eventually got him to learn 'Shoots from distance' from Lorik Cana, but that was it. For that year he played in my reserves doing reasonably well, and in the summer a number of loan offers came in, so I sent him out to Wigan where he played 33 games, scored twice and got an assist. The next season he spent at Reading, played 28, scored 5 and got two assists. Last year, he finally made his competetive debut for my first team, when Javi Martinez was out for three months with injury. In total he started 14 league games, got on the scoresheet 5 times. 2 assists and 2 MOM performances. He also came on as sub another 9 times but for no more than 20 minutes any match - I don't like messing with my CM mid-game. In terms of Stats just about everything important for a CM has risen by a rate of 0.5 - 2 points per year. I can't remember what his stats were at the start, and didn't take a screenshot, but now a few important ones are: Dribbling: 17 Finishing: 13 First Touch: 17 Long shots: 15 Passing: 16 Technique: 16 Creativity: 17 Decisions: 16 Off the ball: 16 Not bad for a 20 year old. I'm using an edited version of Tug's training schedule for him, with 7 star coaches in everything now, but it was about 5-6 stars when he arrived. A couple of things worth noting when loaning someone out. If they're young (16 - 19), it's not always preferable for them to play every game. They could burn-out, so to speak, they can peak and reach their potential too young, then drop off. In truth had I known he'd play 33 games for Wigan, I'd not have loaned Thiago to them. Just check whether he'll be a "valuable member of the first team" or "act as cover for the first team" then choose accordingly. Also it's better for them to get first-team experience with you than on loan. You can tutor them, and they'll be using your (hopefully better) training facilities. Even of this means they'll play fewer games. Since you're Chelsea, they'll be a number of game sthat you've won by half-time. Bring on some players then, and see how they do. If needs be you can always loan them out in january. Last edited by RAKKA; 28-07-08 at 04:30 PM. |
