olav finken is on a distinguished road
Default 4-1-2-1-2 long and narrow

I am in the middle of a season and I sold all my winger for central midfielders and defensive midfielders. And so I am stuck with this formation:

ST ST
CAM
CM CM
DM
LB CB CB RB

How should I set up my instructions???

I want to outperform lower ranked teams for home and away games
as well as higher ranked teams in the EUFA cup

I play a middleclass team, oh and by the way I'm playing 2006

You should try going for an Arsenal style of play by putting the passing on short and the tempo on quick. So your players should be playing more one twos and should be keeping the ball well. Set the passing prority to through the middle and the width on narrow. Never use any playmakers or a target man as the key to success is just letting your players to pass the ball around quickly and exploiting any gaps of opposition defenders.

With the player settings, both of your strikers should cross often but only from the byline. I will probably post the .tac file here as I am planning to start a new game with AC Milan and going to use this exact tactic. I'll post it as soon as I can.

I have used this tactic with Chelsea in FM07 and it has worked wonders.
Cheers and Good Luck!
