I am currently managing ajax, and im doin fairly well, however my backroom staff (mainly coaches) are shite. Problem is, the board wont le me terminate their cntracts because of compensation costs, and also i cant employ better ones as the board think i have too many coaches, i allowed 4 to leave at the end of their contracts at the end of my first season however im still stuck with the same problem. Is there any way of asking the board to allow you more coaches or anything? | | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to stescarr For This Useful Post: | | 20-04-08, 05:22 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 333 Thanks: 26 Thanked 25 Times in 21 Posts | use this trick.i personally descover it.offer to your current choaces job as asistant managers,so youll reduce the number of coaches and after that you can sign how many coach you want.trust me .it always works. | | | | 20-04-08, 07:28 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Soton Posts: 346 Thanks: 37 Thanked 143 Times in 65 Posts | this trick looks good but wouldnt it mean that you would have too many assistant managers? and terminating their contract would cost even more? | Current Game: Eastleigh, 2008/2009 2007/2008 - Eastleigh, 1st in Blue Square South 2008/2009 - Eastleigh, 1st in Blue Square Premier, Won Setanta Shield, Runners Up in FA Trophy | | | 20-04-08, 07:52 PM | #4 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 333 Thanks: 26 Thanked 25 Times in 21 Posts | after you signed the desired coaches you can offer to the coaches who becomes assistant managers a coach contract.so you will remain only with one or two assistants. | | | | 20-04-08, 10:29 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 17 Thanks: 2 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | trick works very well :D | | | | | 21-04-08, 02:56 AM | #6 (permalink) | | FMF's Toon Army Spiderman and member of the Writers Crew Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: wiltshire Posts: 1,829 Thanks: 235 Thanked 432 Times in 410 Posts | Alot of the foreign teams have this problem. If you offer them mutual termination, they will always agree at the start of the very first season you are in charge. I dont know which update you are on, but in my first season at ajax, I have trimmed the coach numbers down considerably, with out annoying the board and brought in my own staff. | Signature-Care of Ru Top FMF GFX Artist Current game Birmingham/Spain 2009-10 | | | 21-04-08, 08:41 AM | #7 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: In Norfolk Posts: 141 Thanks: 4 Thanked 24 Times in 20 Posts | Im pretty sure you can only have 1 assitant in England? lol. | Thanks for the Signature Mr Seth Link to Current Game Swansea City Manager - 2007-Present League 1 - Runners Up FAW Premier Cup - Winners | | | 21-04-08, 11:48 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Sunderland Posts: 484 Thanks: 6 Thanked 24 Times in 15 Posts | offer them a new one year deal? then wait till the end of the season | | | | 22-04-08, 05:54 PM | #9 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Soton Posts: 346 Thanks: 37 Thanked 143 Times in 65 Posts | yeah, but only problem with that is what if the coach doesnt want a 1 yr contract? and will the coach u offered an assistant manager role want to be a coach again? | Current Game: Eastleigh, 2008/2009 2007/2008 - Eastleigh, 1st in Blue Square South 2008/2009 - Eastleigh, 1st in Blue Square Premier, Won Setanta Shield, Runners Up in FA Trophy | | | 22-04-08, 06:26 PM | #10 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 333 Thanks: 26 Thanked 25 Times in 21 Posts | the coach dont want one year contract.but they want to return to their initial job.but if they are asistants for too long i cant guarantee that they will want to be coaches again. | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
