However, I am unsure as to what is the best way to develop and nurture these players. Should I fast-track them into the first team or leave them in the U/18s? Should I focus my training staff on youth coaching? My only concern is that some of these youngsters arent the quickest is there anything I can do about this? | | | | | 30-11-07, 09:08 AM | #2 (permalink) | | FMF Moderator Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Dundalk, Ireland Posts: 2,616 Thanks: 202 Thanked 386 Times in 315 Posts Nominated 1 Time in 1 Post TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | The best way I find is to let the youngsters develop is to play them in a few games in the cup as well as a few run ons in the league mate. | Current Game History: SV Salzburg 2007- 2009 - SV Salzburg, Bundesliga champions 2007/2008, Austrian Super Cup winners 2007/2008 Sunderland 2009 - present | | | 01-12-07, 09:16 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 8 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | ^ that would work. | | | | | 01-12-07, 09:46 AM | #4 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 19 Thanks: 4 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | i would send them out on loan to a lower club for a seson then gradualy introduce them into cup/leauge games | IM SUNDERLAND TILL I DIE DOWN WITH THE MAGGS | | | 22-02-08, 02:32 AM | #5 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 5 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | .. its has to depend on mental attributes. Most of the pro contract will have that if it already ok, u should involve in games...but if not try to train them with your youth coach (only if u have rally good and enough coaches)}ref:on star u gain.. or u can loan them in lower rep club as there where they play more. remember 1st good technical attributes then mental attributes.. | | | | | 05-03-08, 07:26 AM | #6 (permalink) | | FMF's Toon Army Spiderman and member of the Writers Crew Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: wiltshire Posts: 2,359 Thanks: 299 Thanked 609 Times in 581 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I'm guessing that three of the better players you have are Branimir Kostadinov, Ryan Wallace and Matej Rapnik? I found all three coped well with life in the first team, I made them understudy to older players, played them when my team were winning comfortably and Kostadinov even scored a couple. Try and get yourself a scottish feeder club to farm them out to, as they wont want to go to Mtz-Ripo. After turning down three lots I was lucky enough to have Alloa come up and I immediately started to farm out my youngsters, most of which played regularly for them. Other good ones in the Jambos side are Matthew Park, Callum Elliott, Ryan McGowan and Gary Glen, all of which are worth playing in the odd friendly, or taking to cup games against lower league opposition. | Signature-Care of Ru Top FMF GFX Artist Current game Tottenham Hotspur 2007- Follow it here! | | | 05-03-08, 09:08 AM | #7 (permalink) | | What Fed can do with a grape, I can't do with a beach ball! Like in the League Cup or against smaller clubs in the FA Cup or unimportant games in Europe. That way you still got a full team apart from a couple of youth players scattered about and nine times out of ten it'll benefit these players. That's what I did with Alex Cooper and Gerardo Bruna anyway. Y.N.W.A. - Ru. | | | | 05-03-08, 11:35 AM | #8 (permalink) | | What Bozza can do with an orange, I can do with a grape!
