The What Would You Like to See Thread

This is a thread that i thought would be a nice way to find out what members would like to see improved on the site. If you feel you have an idea thats worth posting about then stick it in here and we'll take everything into consideration.

Obviously its the members who make the site so you should at least have some say in what you would like to see on here. So if you have anything to put forward don't hesitate to post away :D

Delete the 2006 and 2007 sections. There is only activity once a month in there, so it's a waste of space. You could have a new subsection like "About Nothing" for older FM games, which would save more space and make the site run quicker

Its something that FMF doesnt have and all other FM sites seem to have.

I'd like an alternative skin for the site, would be a nice touch. Also the background should read ' Feldman61 is a good to us, treat him well'.

Main ones for me...

*Dark Skin - Just an alternative, maybe just changing the white backing to match the blue header would take some glare off the screen
*Some FMF exclusive content - It would be nice if we could get a couple of graphics wiz's to invest sometime into helping the site develop it's portfolio
*More FORUM traffic - My god it can get boring when people are just blabing in the shoutbox and not actually conversing in the forum

The problem with forum traffic is,people sign up, get what they want and fook off. They dont post or contribute anything useful at all tbh. I am considering setting up a thread later on which is geared towards asking why these members do not get active. Theres only ever the same people posting on the forums.

A couple things you can do to get people to stick around are..

*Get/create more content - sounds obvious but those people that "fook off" would stick around longer if there is more and fresh stuff to steal
*Try to get people talking more - FM isn't the be all and end all, we need to get people talking in the off topic forum so we can get to know each other and new members away from FM speak to create a proper community feel for the place.

Again these are just a couple of ideas but there is lots that can be done

True, in another forum I post in they have their football forum, a games forum, off-topic forum and a technical help forum.

There are alot of silly/funny posts in the football and off-topic forums. In the games forum they have loads of little competitions going on over Xbox Live on FIFA 10, CODMW2 and various other games and on the Tech Help forum its literally help for anything technical, from PC to Cars etc.

I suppose the main difference though is that alot of the members of that forum all live in the same area so they actually have a little 5-a-side thing going on where they get 10 members volunteer every week and play 5-a-side with each other, which enhances the community spirit

There are currently 68 users online. 51 members and 15 guests and 2 spiders

66 users online and we are averaging 1 post every 5 minutes (if that!) and 10 people in the shoutbox.

Some of these suggestions are already in the works and the others i definitely agree with ya mate.

*Monthly forum awards (post of the, poster of the the, contributor of the, download of the, donator of the,) maybe each award could have a small symbol a little bigger than the online symbol to go in the user box. You know, something for people to work for, stay active for etc.

Ahh yeah, we had that last time.. With the new forum software though all the creators of the mods need to change it to make it compatible with the latest forum version... all we can do in the mean time is to wait for the awards system mod to be released again.

Really we need to get some more download content on here and some exclusive content.

P.S the download area needs making user friendly Eg. the subcategories should only be the next step rather than every link in that tree.

Them Sub catagories were never supposed to be there :(

We had them from the last 5.1.1 Download centre and there was an option to "hide" all the sub sections on the right.. now we just have to wait for Jelle to bring it out in one of his releases :)

I am indeed mate... add 4 new skins the other night :)

Although i have to say im not sure about what your saying about the lack of content is right tbh .. I think compared to some FM sites i have seen, we have loads more in our downloads centre?

Logos and kits are the main ones than pull people in because you can't get them from the SI forum but you can get skins and everything else from the SI forums

We have NO kits and only one set of logos in our download area

Very ture mate, i was intending on adding the bSS10 kits in tonight as Angel got the permission so hopefully we can get started there and see where takes us :)
