I have always liked henri saivet i first got him on a free in fm07 for liverpool and i have him again now in fm08 with liverpool. On scout reports it says he has the potential to be as good as fernando torres and i have been playing with liverpool for 2 seasons now and he has not made any real progress so i checked what current abilty is and what his potential ability is on fmeditor

current ability 100

potential ability -10

does this mean he is only going to get worse and not better?

-10 equals to 180-200 potential its a way of making it random instead of putting a proper number in
as -9 i think is 150-170 or somethin like that so he will get better
have u been giving him some first team experience either as a sub or on loan as i find players stats get better the more they play

No i always keep him in reserves because he never makes an impact on the game and with the likes of tores and kuyt upfront theres not much room for saivet.

give him on a loan. he's great in my man utd squad , and he's used in rotation system

well if hes not gonna get first team yet for u then defo send him on loan somewhere preferably not too low down say try a championship team that will give him first team football and when his stats should increase
also while hes at yours get torres to tutor him if u can
