Anyone who has played CM/FM for some time, knows that in every game there are always those players that even though their attributes may not be the best in the game, they always achieve the highest average ratings.
There must have been situations where you have a decent player sitting in your reserves and due to injuries/bad form you're forced to give him a chance, and he becomes one of your best players.
I'm pretty new to FM 08, so I won't be able to make many suggestions myself, but I'd love to hear your guys' stories
As for my game with Everton (8.0.0)

Piotr Czaplinski, Stefano Napoleoni, Kozub Pawel.
All of these dont have the greatest stats for the first 2/3 seasons but always put in top performances for my teams. |

DARREN JACK from Crumlin Utd
Outstanding League 2 and below. Gets good enough for league 1.
Never a bad performance. I use him as captain with my Fisher Athletic team which Ive got to championship so far.
You won't find a more consistent player than this. He is very versatile too.
Ok so he is not good enough for Prem or championship. He won't win you matches but I know from experience even though his stats are poor he'll still play ok at those levels.
so definately a TOP PERFORMER. performs above his standard. |

On FM08 Francois Clerc is one of my favorite signings for top-clubs (Inter, Chelsea ....)
His stats arent "bad" but there are other players on the right-back position that have much better stats.
even my scouts always say he would be a bad signing, but he plays so nice (constant 7.1-7.5 ratings ).
