Diego Capel made his debut aged 16 in Sevilla's first team against Atlético Madrid.In the following seasons, he would alternate between the A and B teams, playing only 4 further games in 2005-06 with the main squad. Capel became the first-choice left winger in 2007-08 for Sevilla, due to the very sad and tragic death of Antonio Puerta. He scored his first goal in the top flight against FC Barcelona. After having helped Spain win the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship, Capel played in the World Cup with the U-20 side, scoring in the first match against Uruguay in injury time, tying the game 2-2. He helped Spain progress to the quarter finals. On August 20, 2008, Capel debuted for the senior side, playing the second half of a 3-0 friendly away win against Denmark, setting up two goals.

Diego Capel could be described with one word – Wonderkid. He is a class left winger. At his age he has many great years in front of him. In my game at Sevilla I didn’t have any other decent left winger so he was my 1st choice. I was a bit worried to put him straight on, but he took the chance and become one of my best players. He has a great pace and acceleration. He is flying down the left flank like a
rocket. His crosses are great and he was one of my top players when it comes to assists. His dribbling skills are immense. In my team I play him as ML and he doing great, got some assists even scored 2 goals in his 10 games. He is always making problems for the opposition defenders on the left flank. If you have a good, experienced left winger in your team, Capel could benefit from him. A player like Giggs would be a perfect role model for Capel.

He would probably go to any major club, maybe even to smaller clubs playing in the top leagues. If you trying to buy him, be prepared for a offer of 12 Million Euro at least. I never buyed him as i have him in my Sevilla team and I`m not gonna sell him either.

Diego is a natural left winger. He can be used as left midfielder as well, occasionally he is able to play a right winger.

Dribbling: 19

It`s always good for any player to be able to carry the ball over a distance if there isn’t a pass available. With 19, Capel is great at this.

Technique: 16

It`s vital to allow the player to keep control of the ball. Technique is perhaps one of the more important attributes a player can have. Diego has here a 16 which is good at his age, with proper training this might be improved by time. Technique is a must attribute for any good attacking player in your team.

Acceleration: 19

Acceleration is a must-have attribute for any winger. Capel exels at this attribute, it doesnt get much better than 19. He might get to 20 in couple of years.

Pace: 17
It`s good to have this attribute linked with flair, dribbling and agility and off course acceleration. Capel comes with all those attribute in a great package. With dribbling 19, flair 14, agilty 15 and acceleration 19 you can make him run from deep to really scare the opposition defence. And his attribute will only get better with good training.

Heading: 8

I dont think that this attribute is very important for a winger. He rarely gets to head tha ball. I have him on "lurk outside area" on all offensive set pieces.

Tackling: 6

Again this attribute is more important for defensive players. Capel could improve here probably if he would be on more defensively oriented training, however I dont think it would benefit him as we want him to show his offensive skills.

Jumping: 9

Related to heading, again I dont think that this would be vital for Capel`s game.

Teamwork: 8
This is a area where I would like to see Capel to improve the most. Teamwork is good for any player of your team. If you dont have a star player in your team on whom you can rely to win the games, it`s good to have as much as possible players with high team work, because than you can see your side working their socks off for each other.

Most of his weaknesses are due to his height, from a 173cm “tall” player you can not await some miracles in the air. He could improve his teamwork attribute.

9.2 because he is a great, young left winger with great potential. He is fast, he can cross the ball, dribble around his opponents an put some goals in as well.
I would definitely recommend him to any top team in any league in Europe. As he is only 20, I can see a bright future in front of him.
