Jonas Manuel Gutierrez

Velez Sarfield-First club
Gutierrez played for his local professional team Velez Sarfield. He played for them for four years from 2001-2005. His best career moment for Velez was winning the Primera Division tournament in 2005. Real Mallorca-His Spanish journey
He signed for Real Mallorca in 2005 after impressing for Velez. He made 95 appearances scoring 5 goals. He excited the fans with his dazzling runs and wonder goals. He excited them by pulling out a spiderman mask when he scored for them, which gave him the nickname Spiderman.

On the 1st of July 2008 Jonas knew about Newcastle's interest and decided to buy out his contract at Real Mallorca as he was so desperate to play in the Premier League. The winger impressed the Geordies in pre season with his non stop running and skill. He also claimed an assist in Newcastle's 2-1 home win over Valencia.
Many people believe that he was man of the match against as he ran and ran the whole game and scared Man Utd's defence.  On Football Manager 2008   As you can see Jonas Gutierrez is a decent player on FM 2008 although his price tag will put a lot of people off. Strengths

He has OK mental attributes.
For his price he has poor Technical attributes.

For a winger I believe that he should have much better finishing and free kick attributes. After 5 years  You can see that after 5 years he improves and his value goes up.
He has improved his crossing which is a good sign and is still very strong in the physical attributes.
However,he still hasn't improved his finishing.
Positions
As you can see his best positions are midfield left and midfield right. He will also be comfortable playing both Attacking midfield on each flank. He should only be played at wing back at a last resort. Personal
It will be very hard to sign Jonas Gutierrez on FM 2008 as he is enjoying his time with Real Mallorca. He is also very happy to be playing for Argentina. Conclusion
I believe that with the right training methods and morale in your team Jonas Gutierrez could become a very good player on FM 2008. I would recommend signing him if you have lots of money as I believe it would take around 9 million to sign him. However, there are much better wingers who you can buy for less e.g Jeremy Menez.

Does putting a spiderman mask when you scored an insult to the fans? >.< thats a load of crap. Great guide, tbh i never heard of him until Newcastle signed him, He can attack, defend, pass (although that was a funny dive V United) and with astonishing pace, he can give just as much trouble as Ronaldo can last year. |
