IN REAL LIFE

Damián Ariel Escudero was born in Rosario, Argentina. He started his career at Argentinian premier league side Velez Sarsfield. He is currently on loan at Real Valladolid from Villareal.

Escudero made his debut for Velez in a 1-0 defeat to Newell's Old Boys in 2006 at the age of 18. He was in the media spotlight when his team Velez Sarsfield refused to let him and Mauro Zarate go to the South American Youth Championships in 2007.

When the Copa Libertadores started, it became clear why Velez didn't let Escudero go. It was to stop him from burning out. Escudero was a key part of the Velez side which got to the last 16, a great achievement for a side of Velez's ability.

Damien Escudero's side had a dissapointing season in 2007/2008 when the team failed to qualify for Copa Sudamericana 2008. He still managed to bag 3 goals in the Clausura tournament, one of them coming against the highly rated Boca Juniors.

In 2007, Escudero was picked to play for Argentina U-20's in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Although his team won the trophy, he hardly played due to injury. He has played once for the Argentina senior team against Guatamala in a warm up match for the olympics, he played in a position he rarely plays in - left back.

Escudero recently signed for Villareal.

Escudero is a decent player on FM, he's fast, he can run with the ball and he can cross it. He is still only young so he's improving. Here's a screenshot from the start of season 1 and from the start of season 2.

So as you can see, Escudero is a decent set piece taker too. His mental and physical attributes are great aswell.

TRANSFER INFORMATION

You can probably get Escudero at the start of the game fro about 250k. That's an absolute bargain looking at his stats. He only asks for about 5k a week for his wages too.

TACTICAL INFORMATION

I'm not too sure what tactic to use with Escudero as i've never had him before but from what i've heard, he's best down the left wing. I'd push his arrow right up to the top too.
