IN REAL LIFE
Sergio Hellings was born and bred in Amsterdam. He was snapped up by Ajax at a very young age and made his way through the extremely succesful Ajax youth-system. However, he failed to make an appearance for the Dutch side but has still represented his country at every level up to Under-21's.
On October 11, 2002, Hellings' birthday, he signed for Anderlecht for 2 million euros, signing a five year contract. Despite paying all that money for the player, the Belgian side didn't give Hellings a chance in the first team.
Hellings was originally wanted by Middlesborough, but they decided against the deal after Anderlecht demanded 500,000 pounds for the midfielder. Leeds were also interested in him, but they took too long in deciding whether to go ahead with the deal.
In 2004, Sergio went on loan to Dutch second division side Heracles Almelo where altogether he made 43 appearances. Helping them get promoted to the Eredivisie. He moved back to the 2nd tier of Dutch football in the form of AGOVV Apeldoorn, where he played 25 games.
Sergio Hellings was signed by Leicester, when they were under the management of Martin Allen, in January 2007 but was placed on the transfer list by recently fired Ian Holloway. He never managed to make an appearance for the midlands club, but he was on the bench for Leicester's 4-3 loss to Chelsea.
He has recently been on trial at League Two club Luton Town.
IN FOOTBALL MANAGER 2008
Sergio Hellings is a great central midfielder for The Championship in the first season, but i believe that in the 2nd season, as you will see from my screenshot in a second, he could be good enough for The Premier League.

He has improved drastically since the start of the season, he was a bargain too - just 180k!
TRANSFER INFORMATION As is said, Sergio Hellings will cost you 180k, or maybe less. But really, that is a bargain. He will consistantly perform for you. His contract won't break your bank either, i'm paying him 6.5k a week.
TACTICAL INFORMATION Hellings' best position is the center of midfield in my opinion. Although he can perform in the defensive midfield role. The best tactic to use with him is probably my Wozza's Widge 4-2-2-2 tactic.

(16) So as you can see, he has top stas for a defensive midfielder. WEAKNESSES Sergio doesn't have too many weaknesses, his only really poor stat is his aggression, which isn't vital in todays game. GALLERY 
FINAL VERDICT As i've said, Sergio Hellings is a great player. Good enough for a lower Premiership side.
